I'm heartbroken. I don't know what to say or think, I just know that one of my favourites is gone and the world is a little bit darker, a little less colourful, a little less creative.

Do you guys sometimes have that glitch where after you defeat your opponent, instead of them kneeling outside the ring on the floor, they are basically kneeling while somehow levitating outside the ring on the ring post? I think it's kinda hard to explain.
Yes, the last patch introduced this bug, because of friggin course it did. 2K always seem to break something new on the last patch and then leave us in the dust.

Won't matter if they keep up their weird obsession with randomly speeding up certain animations to the point they look like loony tunes.
-
Inside running springboard finisher range is still ridiculously small.
Rather disappointed. The first pre-DLC patch had such promise but 2K just couldn't help themselves it seems. MyFaction taking precedence over fixing actual gameplay issues.
-
I guess Superkick 4 just isn't getting fixed this year.

There's a lot of things that need improvement. You all know how I feel about the gameplay and the bugs; but CAW mode badly needs some love. Yes, the new face textures were nice, albeit I would like to see them expand on it by adding more textures and bone structures each year; but that distracts from a TON of issues the mode has that 2K have just ignored for ages.
Materials break at least once a game, we still have that goddamn cut off on certain locations when placing logos, mirroring still isn't ask good as it was in 2K19, 4 games ago. The new hairstyles this year look really nice.. but they by that fact actually make the old hairstyles look terrible because of the old hairstyles having way less detail and awful textures. Body morphing, this needs to come back.
But I digress, this is the DLC section so yes, I would very much like to see a return to the old DLC model from before 2K20. Im not sure why they suddenly felt the old model was bad or something, but having themed packs that didn't mix and match randomly, and having movepacks (hell, give us more than one move pack per year, i'll pay for that) gave everyone something they wanted.

Just. give. me. back. the. move. packs.
-
I am so goddamn tired of DDT 1.
-
Slingshot powerbomb 1 and 2 both are unusable as a finisher or signature for some reason.
-
Welp, guess RVD won't be in 2K24.
-
Rainbow effect that got added to the leather material a few patches back still hasnt been fixed.
-
Lol ffs.
-
I'll check it out when I get back. Anyone know what was changed?
Edit: Patch didn't fix any of the things I want to see fixed so i'm going to go out on a loop here and say its just another *censored*ing update to MyFaction.

Yeah i've realized that now after doing a 20 minute match trying to hit that damn springboard lariat over and over again, opponent has gotta be ridiculously close to the ropes for it to work which makes the move always look awful and awkward and can never be hit smoothly.
And yeah Gacy's finisher looks especially awful because of how much space the move needs for it to be hit clean, its literally meant to hit it with the opponent in the center of the ring, and you gotta hit it with the opponent literally pressed up against your back.
And since the move is relatively slow by its very nature, they also have to be stunned while that close because otherwise they have enough time and lack of space to interrupt you.

Shout out to 2K for fixing Gacy's mask glow before release. I may take them to task for a lot of things but it is nice to see them do something about small details that would've gone untouched in years past.

So is anyone actually able to do Joe Gacy's springboard lariat finisher? cause i can't for the life of me do it, any tips?
I've mentioned this before and I've brought it up here, on reddit, and in a report to 2K, but the problem is that running springboard vs standing opponents requires the opponent to be ridiculously close to the rope you want to use the move on for the prompt to appear. They have to be practically within the last third of the ring area for it be usable, even when the move you're attempting has far more range than that. It's why it's hard to use that move (and looks awful when you do, because with how close they are Gacy practically has to make a 90 degree turn after the handstand to hit the lariat). Look at how close they are in CAM when you preview them as finishers and that's more or less the distance the opponent has to be at max for the prompt to appear.
Personally I believe we should always be able to go for the finisher if we have a finisher save and are running at the ropes, regardless of their distance. if we miss, we miss; but at least then it's usable.
I use the Cody Cutter as a finisher right now and set up feels very inorganic because of this issue as well.

don't wanna get my hopes up early but I think they finally fixed the flickering CAW face bug for entrances. Won't know for sure until i test other arenas though.
But man, Joe Gacy's finisher especially suffers from the opponent having to be so damn close to the ropes to be able to get the prompt for the running springboard vs stand finishers. Like.. just let us do it any time we run at the ropes if we want. If we miss, we miss, but for gods sake stop with the restrictions.

Just checked. Yup its there... and has its screen shake broken on the pin combo.
-
So.. just curious if anyone else has noticed this, but whoever they got to do mocap this year REALLY likes to throw their hands in the air as they go for a pin.
-
Lol superkick 4 is STILL broken.
-
Opportunity squandered.
And what the hell is going on with that falcon arrow?
-
Unsurprisingly the patch notes are as per usual fairly useless.

It's 11:30pm here, patch should be out tomorrow and we'll know what moves we're getting if they continue with the pattern of the other patches and include the new moves in it rather than the the DLC unlocker itself. I'm hopeful for some real good stuff and am equally hopeful to see the patch do some unexpected things; alas i doubt it'll be out until around mid-morning to mid-day tomorrow but alas.
Doubtful but I wonder if there's a chance of a third oscutter with Davenport, just for the hell of it. I'm not complaining if not, the cody cutter works just fine, but would be cool.
-
So what are we hoping to see move-wise with the upcoming patch, all? I'm personally hoping they use Zeus and Uncle Howdy as excuses to add moves we wouldn't get otherwise.
... God i miss the move packs..

So, while I agree with this, I want to point out the darker side of it. The problem with replacing old animations with newer updated ones is that sometimes they for reasons unknown decide to "update" perfectly fine moves.
An example would be the clothesline from hell. In recent history we've had 3 different CFHs, the first was fine with maybe the sell being a bit over the top, but it was then replaced with a nice hard hitting one with a pin combo. It was great. We had that for 2, maybe 3 games and then they replaced it again with the far inferior and frankly goofy looking version currently in the game. Why they chose to replace the pin combo version people had been pining for for years prior instead of just adding the new one as "Clothesline From Hell 2" is beyond me but I digress.
