  1. FIFA 18, Tekken 7, NieR:Automata and Pac-Man. I suck at Pac-Man.
  2. Pretty sure Muur was just complaining about something along those lines. I don't understand why England didn't have confidence? They had a easy group and a talented, but a bit young squad. England are underachievers by nature to the point that any embarrassing result or elimination when the tournament starts to get serious is expected. Such results include getting knocked out by Iceland in the Euro 2016, not making it past the group stage in the 2014 World Cup. There was some mild expectations that the team could perform well and go far because there seems to be a real team spirit + a core group of young, hard-working promising players, but the underachieving-element means people still are wary of making any ambitious predictions before any tournament. Said league is full of foreign talent though. We cant homegrow a team if we tried. They can though. England dominates at youth tournaments and there is an exciting generation of players coming up who are extremely promising. At the moment, they are very young, most of them still being teenagers. A problem is more so that they don't seem to have much perspective at regular playing time for their clubs, as being the world's best and most lucrative league means plenty of teams spend a lot of money to get foreign talent. Burnley is a major exception. Tottenham and Liverpool too, on a lesser scale. In the past, it was because the English talent in general wasn't good enough to carry clubs who competed for the Champions League and in most teams, the way English talent got brought up, meant they were basically water carriers for the team they played and the players with real quality, the playmakers, the skilled dribblers, the goalscorers, you'd have to go abroad for that, because all the English lads could do, was to work hard in service of players like that. With changes in the England youth set-up and the next generation that's coming up, that could change, but teams would need to show courage and give players a chance. But nobody wants to play a bunch of teenagers when the stakes are that high, especially at the top, where 6 teams could get CL-football. It's why Loftus-Cheek got shipped to Crystal Palace for example, while Chelsea would rather spent 30m on Drinkwater, Bakayoko and Barkley than to give an unexperienced youngster a chance. In hindsight, that was a mistake and a waste of money. We've also seen this at Everton (Lookman) and West Ham (Oxford) and Arsenal (Maitland-Niles, Holding, Nketiah) It also means that young English players tend to go abroad themselves for playing time and development, mostly to the Bundesliga. Some on a loan deal, but some have also left big clubs permanently for playing time. Early examples are Reece Oxford (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Chris Willock (Benfica), Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund), Ademola Lookman (Red Bull Leipzig), Marcus McGuane (FC Barcelona) and Kaylen Hinds (VfL Wolfsburg). Lookman rejected clubs like Derby County for Leipzig, because it was a better environment for him and because he suspected an English club would not know how to develop young talent. England could have a golden generation coming up, if they know how to guide them. They've made steps, but it's also possible you could see an England-side that's excellent, filled with players who don't play in England.
  3. Not even Conte, that's why he kept hanging around, to get that sweet severance payment.
  4. Who gives a shit if the English were saying it? It was their meme. Again, who tf takes that seriously?
  5. The "it's coming home"-bit was always a joke that evolved into a slogan for people to rally behind England. Anyone taking it seriously as the English being dead convinced they were the best team at the World Cup is being stupid. Also stupid = this. Sterling was a constant threat through out the tournament and England lost fluidity up front, suffering literally every time he got subbed. You can tell whose opinions on football you shouldn't rate on what they think of Sterling's performances. Daily Mail doing a good job in creating a scapegoat.
  6. There's a guy who is going to win 100k on a £1 bet if Perisic scores from outside the box.
  7. Europe is based. Every other continent is not based.
  8. Im glad Jiggy gets it. Imagine thinking it's not coming home.It is not. England are shit.Blasphemy!Basically treason imo.
  9. Im glad Jiggy gets it. Imagine thinking it's not coming home.
  10. For England. Best striker on the planet, most in-form goalkeeper at the moment and Danny Welbeck as a supersub. It's coming home.
  11. I can see why Mexico keeps getting eliminated in the first knockout round, they're stupid af.
  12. They left Benzema home, that instantly makes them likeable in my books.
  13. Just need to get rid of Brazil and every unlikeable team would be eliminated.
  14. Fully backing the lads to take it back home. Forza Croatia.
  15. Yeah, Belgium isn't a dark horse, they've been strong favourites from the start.
  16. Germany might've won if they didn't force Özil and Khedira back in and went with Werner on the left and Gomez up front and Brandt on the other wing. Like how that worked vs. Sweden. With a man dowm.
  17. Messi is racist, only turns up when there are black defenders to humiliate, ask Boateng. Also Maradona is dying.
  18. From Barbados but refers to Germany as us, hmmmmm Migration is a thing in this world. Sure but he's said before he supports Germany because Barbados are shit and doesn't/hasn't lived there. Liking them is fine but saying "we" is a bit far So.....because I live in another country doesn't mean I can refer to another country's team that I support as 'us' now? Club teams, no problem. But an actual country, that's weird, yeah. Like if some dude from *censored*ing Brunei or some shit with zero connection to the country would talk about The Netherlands like "ohh man, we're not at the World Cup, it hurts, but we'll be there next time", I'd be like "We? Who is we? We? You speak French now?". Makes no sense imo. Marquez? What did he do? Tried to phone it in when he was with the Red Bulls and got eaten alive then ran away. Also is legit under investigation as a drug lord. Drug lord? Holy shit, I get you need a post-football back up plan, but what a career switch.
  19. Germany needs to start Brandt, drop Draxler and stop using Gundogan & Khedira altogether. Maybe Rudy next to Kroos or Goretzka. Werner was excellent on the left as well.
  20. Nah, Nigeria will *Censored* them + Iceland is beating Croatia.
