  1. i doubt he is the sole reason. But i recognize that he probably had a lot of influence in that. That said, i am probably alone on an island with my view, that i dont care much about indy or Japanese moves. I would 9 times out of 10 prefer to just get a move for someone thats already on the roster, or a move for a legend. But i also do recognize that those indy and japanese moves from the moves packs, ended up working out substantially. Since WWE eventually signed like all of those people that the moves belonged to. At the time though, it was hard for me to justify them putting in moves for someone like Hirooki Goto. When theres still hundreds of moves like John Cena's Fallaway Stunner or Floatover Sitout Powerbomb are still not in the game.
  2. I've said it before, i'll say it again. The year that Bryan Williams came out in an interview for the game, and exclaimed that he had requested that YUKES allow him to take over the movesets, was the year the movesets became TERRIBLE. that was the year that everyone all of a sudden had Floatover Neckbreakers, Michinoku Drivers and the Running STO.

  6. the cutoff for these games is like early September. u aint getting Emma and Good Brothers. The only late addition i would believe would be Bray Wyatt. Since they might make 1 exception
  7. good news. for people that like bad news. Unless 2k scraps everything....and starts over. With a concerted effort to replicate actual WWE and the matches. We are doomed. As far as WWE wrestling games go. We are left with a game that doesn't play like a real wrestling match. Entrances that no longer look like the actual entrances. No noticeable effort towards making the game bug free and finally addressing the glitch that wipes ur save.. thats existed for a decade. Camera angles and replays that no longer work or attempt to look like how it is on TV. good news the AEW game is coming. Bad news about that is its the first game. And the sequel will be the one to address whatever issues we will have with Fight Forever. But that games 5 years down the road maybe.
  8. the amount of time, work and budget that goes into Showcase. While you have things like them not adding a new catching finisher or barricade move for like 7 years...is wild.
  9. Shawn Michaels 1997 model has had the same attire since WWE 2k16 i think? And its not even accurate. Heck for like 3 games in a row it was glitched and the tights were too dark due to a lighting isssue that they didn't bother to fix

  12. i don't really know how it works. I know legends contracts encompass shirts, toys, videogames. But i do believe that they still have to pay them individually? Maybe its just cheaper than it would cost if the deal wasn't in place? I know for the action figures they are not allowed to work with any legends that are not under a deal. But videogame ppl can work with ppl that do not have any deals with WWE. Like when Savio Vega, Tatsumi Fujinami, Mikey Whipwreck, Haku and Rock-n-Roll express were all in the games. But didn't get any other type of merch or product. So 2k definitely has had access to Billy Graham for years. They just either didn't make him an offer for the game, or didn't think the price was worth it. Mattel announced Steiner Brothers action figures a couple months ago. So 100% they will be DLC for 2k23 imo

  14. Noam Dar hasn't been on TV since 2017. wild that he still makes it into the games. This the first time Cesaro won't be in a game since WWE 12. I didn't notice the addition of Reggie. thats pretty cool. Since the game is now a block and dodge fighting game...you would think that they would have to add animations specifically for Reggie. Since half of his matches involve him doing handsprings and flying kipups. But him being low on the totem pole doesn't bode well. As he would need lots of attention with how unique he is
  15. the list also has Giovanni Vinci where he would be alphabetically as Fabian Aichner. And Gunther is alphabetically where Walter should be.
  16. alot of additions. 26 i think. But not exciting ones. As its mainly NXT ppl. Carmelo, Bron and Grayson are the only interesting ones to me. And i like seeing Ezekiel (elias's brother). 1 legend is sad. I guess the days of them putting legends on the disc are over. They will probably always be DLC from now on. no Hit Row is one of the stand outs. as they are on SmackDown every week
  17. yeah theres tons of versions of it. But the newest one they made was specifically for the Bellas. And they got rid of it last year. It was the most female looking one. So now if u give one to a diva or something...its most likely the one made for X-Pac

  19. The springboard one was a made up fantasy move for the Wasteland Wanderers DLC. Seth did so happen to use a diving curb stomp to Riddle at Clash at the Castle a couple months back. That kinda looked like it. So now it kinda works to use on him. I wouldn't be surprised if the reason there is a new Curb Stomp in the game, but ppl aren't seeing it in Rollins gameplay. Either they didn't assign it. You would be baffled like i am every year for the amount of moves that dont get assigned. OR.....it could be a new move for Liv Morgan. With that thing she does in the corner. where she runs and slingshots into a double stomp onto the opponents back. They did bother to make her finisher actually work correctly now. And she was the champ while they were making the game
  20. when you have this many ppl to reveal, i thought the IGN reveal someone every day thing worked best. Getting the video of the entrance along with the signature/finisher.
  21. bro i used to be up Marcus Stephenson and Aubrey Sittersons ass......with problems that needed to be fixed. the 2 Count glitch. Where u would only get a 1 count or a 3 count. but never a 2 count. Or the game that had that insta pin glitch. Where u could win with anything u knocked down the opponent with. Because the CPU couldn't kick out.
  22. as far posting complaints. I would remind ppl i was one of the key ppl kicking up dust and bitching when CM Punks hair color was wrong in WWE 12. Which they fixed. i bitched and bitched about Mankind having wrist tape in WWE 13....and they removed it when they tried to stealthily removed something like 800 animations from SmackDown vs. RAW 2011. Who complained more than me about that? The thing is. If u just walk away and say fck it......nothing changes. The community will just be left with the ppl that accept everything. I think 2k22 is a BAD wrestling game. and it looks like 2k23 is going to be the same. As i've seen zero evidence that they are making any meaningful changes. And why would they. They keep getting told that this is good. Once ppl like me finally do leave. Its easier for them to add more microtransactions. more lootboxes. more models with mistakes. More gameplay changes that move it even further away from looking like a wrestling match. u guys are going to be left with the wrestling equivalent of what Madden has turned into. Go play Madden 2007 and the newest Madden game. And see how bad things can really get
  23. well as i've mentioned they have half assed it with the gameplay changes. The game isn't simulation, nor is it arcadey. At this point it most resembles either a fighting game or the bad early SmackDown games like that Royal Rumble dreamcast game or something. The direction they are going by all accounts is to go the arcadey route. Many of the design decisions were influenced by fighting game mechanics and to give an OLD SCHOOL feel. Since ppl have been yelling for 20 years that the old games were better. If i can't have realistic matches, then why would i want them to slowly bring back realistic features in a game that u cant have wrestling matches in?? I would much prefer them to continue exploring and fleshing out the new gameplay. Sliders and stamina doesn't fix the core issue with the gameplay. At a core, foundational level this is no longer built to replicate professional wrestling. Which is fine. But at least make it a good version of what its supposed to be. And i assumed that was what was going to happen. But i see no evidence that they have done much work to the gameplay. if 2k22 was the new foundation. Where the hell is all the work to improve it??? Look at the jump from 2k15 to 2k16.
  24. they can fck right off with tendencey sliders. We already had the options to turn off Carry moves, turn off springboards, turn off top ropes dives, turn off combos. And they removed all of that shit. Im still not understanding why we have this unrealistic ass gameplay that they gave us. And now they are trying to add realism to it???? the goddamn gameplay IS the problem so fine. I am okay with fighting game arcadey gameplay. U are talking to someone that has hundreds of hours in All-Stars. And more hours in Tekken 5 than anybody u probably know. why are they not giving me MORE of the arcadey fighting combat? Thats the direction u are going, then GO THAT DIRECTION. they are just half assing this whole thing and still haven't figured out who tf this new game is for yet
