Yes, but I don’t see it as reactionary. Jade was always planned. They didn’t have Swerve or Keith Lee but that was expected they’d get pushed. They say Scorpio Sky’s push was always the plan so who knows. As a POC, I’m happy the direction they’re going in. It doesn’t feel forced, because all the black talent they have is actually *censored*ing good. No offense to legends like Booker T, Bobby Lashley or Mark Henry, but growing up I never felt connected to them like guys like Swerve, Keith Lee or even a guy like Carmelo Hayes in NXT.

Is that the first name change that was done to not effect guys coming in ? If so, I’m surprised they didn’t change Brody King’s name. I know they kinda cut off Swerve’s first name too which surprised me.

I don’t want to see that tbh. Don’t care how much they love Bret. Would it be cool for a big match ? Sure. But him replacing Tully as a full time manager would be dumb.

Great show ! Loved Rosa winning the belt and the confetti celebration. AEW needs to tone down on the blood though even though it was expected tonight. I’m fine with thumbtacks taking a long ass break. They mean nothing anymore and AEW has abused the spot to death.

Jesus Christ what a *censored*ing show. My favorite wrestler of the past few years is in AEW & aligned with Malakai Black. Wow.

I love that AEW lets wrestlers work where ever, and I watch other promotions, but I feel like Jay White popping up in 3 different promotions in the same week KINDA takes the specialness off him tbh. Like, some dream matches I want in AEW are being done in other companies or indies. Like damn, I wish TK would tell these bookers they need to have these matchups on his show first.

That’s actually a good point. A guy like Finn Balor (or even AJ before he resigned) would’ve been perfect for AEW…but they have no space. So yeah, that makes sense.

Both guys from The North are super talented, but AEW doesn’t need either. There’s simply not enough room to vault more guys into the main event scene right now. I legitimately have no idea how Gargano is gonna fit, even though matches with guys like Bryan, Omega etc are a dream. I don’t think I can handle another hour of wrestling a week, but AEW might as well expand Rampage to 2 hours and move the time slot. Make it more important like Dynamite with good strong storyline progression than just 3 matches and a few backstage segments. Also bring in the trios belts to give these factions something to fight over.
