  1. Decided to log on to this site all these years later. Went to Hershey Park a few weeks back, was fun.
  2. Where did I ever say, or imply that it was your fault? People move on, including myself for the most part. I had a wild hair and decided to post back here, and was just commenting on how things have changed. It hasn't helped that Metal has been plateauing hard imo for the last several years, there's been nothing that has really impressed me deeply. A lot of good albums, but nothing that's really effected me since the days I first heard stuff like Slayer, Possessed, Dark Angel, Celtic Frost, or Bathory.
  3. They don't make things like they use to when it comes to this thread. MDF 2015 lineup
  4. Maryland Deathfest Lineup 2014 Dark Angel, and Triptykon drags me back again next year by default.
  5. New Satyricon is growing on me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9P7kEPKfzHk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T-mkOIQCjc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_CXpPRL5mM
  6. Actually he will, it's Don Doty that looks to be out http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/don-doty-if-there-is-no-room-for-me-in-dark-angel-i-will-find-my-place-somewhere-else/
  7. I see Jim Durkin isn't returning, he wrote most of the guitar material on their best albums. Would be great to see live, but a new album is kinda up in the air.
  8. ^Don't know where you heard that, but that would be awesome if true. Dark Angel imo represented the height of Thrash in the late 80's, early 90's on a brutal, and technical scale. I think some of the new wave Thrash bands lack the intensity those guys had, then again they didn't have Gene Hoglan. I would love to hear some Leave Scars Tunes with modern production. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9H1WM2JmFfg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uq_K5rMY3qw
  9. Honestly I think the next movement in Metal is really what Ghost is doing, all avenue's of Extreme Metal have been exhausted imo. I think it's gonna come down to just how catchy, heavy, and good of set you can play. Ghost acting like it's 1976, and the Nwobhm era hadn't happen yet, and how good they have gone forward with that direction really has me thinking that we are going to see a resurgence in classic metal, more than any extreme acts. I think extreme metal will also become more clean. Or somebody will just record an album with someone setting off a daisy cutter to an auto-tune factory...
  10. Speaking of HellHammer Cool read, Tom G Warrior recently recovered his old letters to HR Giger for permission to use Satan I for To Mega Therion. http://fischerisdead.blogspot.ch/2013/07/to-mega-therion-album-by-hellhammer.html?m=1
  11. Good, I need to see Morbid Angel again after the all the hiccups they had in last year's Deathfest, plus I wont have to worry about any chances of Kill a cop, kill a cop cop.
  12. Funny soldier you bring up Summoning, I have been on a binge of them lately but I didn't feel like posting their stuff, because I didn't think anyone would care for them here. I actually came across them before Old Morning's Dawn came out. So I'm caught up, they certainly have a certain hook when it comes to their drum tracks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtrLUVTZ4gk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HipoikwHRb8
