  2. I still haven't seen Daisies myself, but if you're interested in seeing more imaginative Czech cinema, you definitely gotta check out Jan Svankmajer.
  3. They finished shooting Dark Phoenix back in Oct. 2017. So it's not that. Apprarently, he's taking a break from acting.
  4. Yeah. Was bummed to hear he wasn't doing this one.

  9. ^ Wrong topic. Belongs in Prettiest Women thread.
  10. Haha. What an interesting choice to watch on a first date! It's funny how prior to watching the movie, all I heard about was the infamous dog-shit-eating scene and how gnarly it was -- but for me, that was nothing compared to the "Surfin' Bird" scene.
  11. Hausu really does live up to the hype. It's as bonkers as people say it is. It's also very sweet and funny. Female Trouble is definitely my favorite Waters that I've seen. Besides that film: I like Desperate Living. I'm ambivalent towards Pink Flamingos. Not a fan of Polyester (the music is great, though, especially "Be My Daddy Baby"). Hairspray and Cry Baby I haven't seen in years. And the rest I haven't seen at all.
  12. Nice haul! Female Trouble and Hausu are favorites of mine.
  13. True, but I just use 9999 as I doubt there as been a 10,000 page topic since I joined. Eh, more typing that way. lol Usually all I do is add a 0 or two at the end and boom.
  14. ^ It doesn't even need to be 9999. It could be a number that you know is bigger than the topic.

  16. ^ Actually, that's a good point. Not everyone is a wrestler. How does Prettiest Women in Wrestling sound?
  17. Remember the rules: no hotlinking and respectable images only (i.e. no ultra tiny bikinis; private areas are covered). 1 2 3
  18. For someone who hasn't seen Coven and only watched half of Murder House, I'm finding it entertaining. So far it's the funniest season I've seen and the main baddie has an unique aura.
  19. H20 didn't work for me because it continued where the second one left off and was therefore hampered by the whole sibling/family angle which gave the character an explicit explanation to continue what he had started. But yeah, since you mentioned it, I suppose I liked that they didn't really divulge his whereabouts. And don't get me wrong, I'm not writing the film off quite yet. I just think this is the first misstep the film has had. Although, I will say there is a part of me that doesn't mind the idea of Michael being confined again like he was as a child -- the cycle of terror repeating itself every so many years sort of the thing. The problem with this though, based on the synopsis and plot leaks, is the doc crew who inadvertently "wake" Myers up. If it does indeed play out like it sounds, then I find that really hokey and frankly no better than what the sequels have come up with to bring him back. If he's gotta being confined then do what the original did just have him inexplicably break out without any overt reason. To end on a more positive note, I am still very much looking forward to Carpenter's score.
  20. Ok, I think I like the mask a bit more in these pics. It looks a bit more organic. The synopsis, on other hand, is disappointing. I'm not a fan of Myers being imprisoned since the murders. I would have went in a direction that would have continued the original film's inexplicable ending and have his whereabouts being unknown and unexplained for 40 years. With this new plot, it feels like they have fallen in the same trappings as the past sequels (except 3) and that is disrupting the mystique of The Shape.
  21. The criticism was over the trailer not depicting Freddie's illiness (and queerness), not the movie.
