I love Logan Paul’s smack talk towards Owens.
Kross + AOP — I’m intrigued.
-
What was different about RAW? The production felt exactly the same to me. And I don’t recall any noticeable production errors either.
-
I liked Cody’s promo. R Truth made me chuckled a few times, I gotta say. lol The Rock’s charisma is still engaging even if the material is so-so. And Drew’s initial sell on Seth’s foot on the rope was done well. The match itself was decent, too. Everything else was the usual meh, which is what I expect from RAW.

Oh boy, now we’re going somewhere! Rock teasing a match against Roman.
-
Yikes, Kofi really got Vinci there.
Still crazy that Punk is back. What a year 2023 was
-
That finish was actually pretty good.
-
Jeez, this company…
The fact that he danced around and never really answered if there was an investigation or not is not good.
-
He’s been uninteresting for years for me. I really don’t like his personality.
-
That’s the story of that whole NXT class for me. Bron, Ilja, and maybe Stratton are the only exceptional talent there who have a good chance at succeeding once called up. Everyone else I think will end up floundering, which is a bit troubling.
-
And it sounds like she was bad at her job as well judging by all the complaints about the merch being poor quality and unavailable at shows. Man, Tony got played by these people.
-
It looks like they’re being paired with Kross, too.
-
Personally, there’s nothing AEW has offered that is as good as:
-Punk’s return. His promos. His interactions with talent. His feud with Rollins building.
-Orton’s return and his feud with Roman/Bloodline heating up. His tag match with LA Knight.
-Drew’s heel turn.
-Gunther’s feud and matches with Miz. His increasing displeasure with Imperium.
-LA Knight’s feud with Roman/Bloodline and his interactions with Orton.
-Pearce and Aldis’ growing rivalry.
-Cody’s promos against Nakamura.
-Some of Escobar’s heel promos.
-Some of Becky’s promos against Nia.
As for AEW, some of MJF/Joe has been ok, maybe a couple of Bryan’s matches, and a few of Eddie’s promos — the rest is not worth seeking out.

I listed a bunch of shit that’s happened the last few weeks. I knew your opinion on the tournament, so I didn’t ask that. I knew your opinion on Jericho’s crap, so I didn’t ask that. You brought up that AEW programming is A LOT better than WWE’s, so I was wondering what you could be referring to beyond the tournament. Of course, instead of clarifying what you like more, you chose to take a shot at me. What new?

Looks like Charlotte tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus. She may have also strained her neck in the fall as well.
-
I know you absolutely love that 1029293th tournament that they’re having right now but you’re telling me you like the WCW-esque Devil angle with MJF? The silly soap opera drama of the Edge/Christian feud? Tony Storm doing SNL sketches? House of Black trying to recruit FTR? Ethan Page for the second time this year being randomly booked in a big match with a top star simply because they’re in his home country? Ruby and Angelo’s adolescent romance?
-
Jimmy was fantastic at thinking he was the one being on the receiving end of Roman’s praise.
Dann, AJ looking jacked.
Heel AJ
-
Yikes. Scary stuff. Lesnar had this and it almost ended his career. I hope his recovery goes well.
-
I think it’s a combination of his body being a wreck so he needs to coast for sheer self-preservation and 2) he’s someone who just has bad creative ideas anyway.
-
Smooth promo, Cody.
-
Punk looking at Dom. lol
More backstage Punk interactions. Good shit.
-
Punk making things right. Full circle. I like the reasoning.
Nice stare down.
Rollins got abandonment issues.
Terrific segment. Loved the intensity.
-
Man, I remember that. I was fuming. lol

First off, Jay Lethal is a ring veteran and a guaranteed hall of famer in any promotion he's wrestled for. - Most wrestling fans are not looking at him as a "lower-card" "joke"...they're looking at him as someone who is capable when used correctly. (Maybe he hasn't been used correctly in a long time...but, the capability is always there).
I like Jay Lethal. He’s a guy I wish was pushed and treated better. But that’s not the reality we live in. His entire tenure in AEW has been in lower-card-land. I didn’t book that. Tony Khan did. He treats him like a joke and having him losing in competitive won’t change that. You know what would change that? Book him to win matches and treat him like a somebody instead of a nobody like they have.
1 hour ago, Generations said:The entire point of this tournament is to increase the value of as many performers as possible in a short period of time. AEW knows they have a problem with a lack of starpower. - When you look at the overall roster, Lethal is a name that has been a world champion in the past. He's a proven commodity. It makes all the sense in the world to use the format of the tournament to shine him up a bit, even if he is obviously not going to win.
It’s all window dressing. Tony’s booking is the exact same thing it has always been. It’s yet another superficial gimmick he’s come with.
1 hour ago, Generations said:Also, 10 minutes isn't a long match. - You make it sound like Lethal is doing 25 or 30 minutes and people are sleeping. - Going "over 10 minutes" is not some grave injustice to the television audience. So, yeah...it's a garbage take. - If it bores you, then take a walk and come back. (Ten minutes is not a long time).
11 to 14 mins (to be more precise) is a good chunk of time for TV matches. You can tell a lot of story in that timespan. That same timespan is a lifetime for cold TV matches featuring a lower-card guy competing competitively against ppl higher up on the card.
1 hour ago, Generations said:The tournament is a marathon, not a sprint. I don't know what you would rather see on AEW. (Genuine question). - There has been a level of consistency and logic added to the weekly format since the tournament started. - Feel free to tell me what they should be doing instead...because, you certainly complained plenty about what they were doing before the tournament. (You are constantly complaining about AEW in general...so it's hard to validate any new criticism).
Well for starters, Tony should stop booking.
-
Booking a lower-card guy like Jay Lethal who is presented as a joke going over 10 mins in cold matches with Moxley, Jay White, and Swerve helps no one and wastes time.

Terrific triple threat. Kinda wish we got a definitive finish, but I did like Aldis confronting Heyman at the end.
