  1. I'm glad Punk is moving on from Darby/Sting. But I was with Tazz there. lol Punk was being AEW's hype man or something which was getting more annoying as he went on.

It's June '20 - July '21, I believe. So no Cena or Balor but it does included Edge, Bryan, Rey, Kevin Owens, Drew, Fiend, and Strowman. All former world champions. Omega has who? Sami Callihan, Moose, OC, PAC, Jungle Boy, Swann, and Moxley? I mean in terms of the caliber of the competitors, I think Roman has him beat.

I feel like Reigns had more matches with tougher, high-caliber opponents than Omega did.
  4. Don’t be like that, man. Come on. I exaggerate and joke around, too. I’m sorry but your post (or at least the part I bolded) just sounded like one of those angry fandom posts that is devoid of any truth or reality. There’s been way too much of that going on lately in this community (the internet wrestling community, that it is) and it just makes me less willing to engage with its people. What’s been going on reminds me a lot of the Star Wars fandom or pretty much any video game community that I’ve experienced. Just constant irrational anger and toxic-ness.
  5. I understood your point. My problem is you came up with a total unrealistic example to make your point. As weird as RAW’s booking is at times, something like that would indeed be a surprise. They wouldn’t put some lower-card guy they haven’t used on RAW since July in their main event. They don’t work like that. They’re not that nonsensical. I feel if you’re trashing something, it needs have some semblance of reality to give your point more credibility.
  6. That’s bull. When’s the last time the guy was used? And when he was used, he was total undercard talent. The guy sucks but to act like he was given a significant push like Priest is being given right now, for example, is frankly delusional.
  7. You talking about The Way segments? I can’t say I was ever a fan. It’s like RAW’s production value mixed with BTE’s humor. The Creed Brothers left a good first impression on me. Very promising. Solid squash.
  8. Poor Charlotte. And Rhea, too. Both being involved with people with terrible gimmicks.
  9. He badly needs to drop the gimmick now that he’s a babyface. I like Kross’ delivery.

Honestly, it’s been the best it’s been since moving to USA. They’re more focused. There’s more direction. There’s less gimmicky match bullshit. People who need wins, get wins. People who aren’t wrestling, get promo time. It ‘s closest it’s felt like the old WWE Network days to me. And yet all people want to do right now is bitch about shit that hasn’t even happened yet instead of actually talking about the good content they’ve been airing.
  11. Not a fan of how they built this PPV. A lot of these matches lack heat for me. The only ones that genuinely have it are MJF/Jericho; Omega/Christian (although Omega acting the way he does deflates it and Christian constantly calling Don a carney isn’t very riveting to me); and well… Big Show/QT, which is not a match I give one shit about but I’ll admit that there’s drama to easily grasp onto. Everything else is… eh. Women’s title is generic and only a few weeks old. 8-man is generic babyfaces and heels just beefing. Moxley is just challenging a veteran from Japan and was only recently booked. Tag title was also only recently booked and Lucha Bros. have been mostly been interacting with Andrade it feels like. Punk/Darby is just a vet babyface challenging a young babyface. And Miro/Kingston has barely had any interaction between the two and has mainly been Miro cutting weird promos on Kingston from the back. So in terms of feuds and storylines, this PPV isn’t really offering much of that, at least for me.

But that’s just fans talking, no? I’ve heard there was heat with Dunn but never with Prichard.

Yeah, I’m aware of the story. Stephanie was the one behind him getting let go. What does that have to do Triple H, though? As far as I’m aware he nothing to do with Bruce’s firing other than being the husband of the person who wanted him gone.

Who’s he getting back at that got him fired?
  15. Way too many beatdowns again last night. Punk, MJF, and Jericho were great, though. Solid promos. FTR/PnP was a little disappointing. It left me pretty underwhelmed. Everything else didn’t do much for me.
  16. Why would you want to cover up his torso?
  17. So this finger thing is going to be her gimmick, huh?
  18. Well, this storyline didn’t play out well.
  19. But Goldberg is still going to be champion right?!? RIGHT?!?!

Dang, how big is your main-event scene in your mind? lol He’s mid-card to me.
  21. Hmm. You sure it’s not something wrong with the episode?

    Where PAC is right now.
  23. Haven’t watched the second episode yet but yeah, the first episode was a very solid start. Great atmosphere, intriguing plot, and well-paced.
  24. Kofi didn’t just stand in the ring, though. He was the first guy to withstand Lesnar’s offense and go the distance with him. And you know what? The crowd went wild when Kofi came out and they kept cheering for him during his whole time alone with Brock. The crowd loved it and was into it because of their history. So why take a moment like that away from one of the greatest Rumbles ever?
  25. Ah my bad with the Ricochet part. You’re right, Saudi show was after. For Kofi, however you feel about the RR moment, my point was that there was an interaction; their past together was addressed in some form which that tweet made it seem like that never happened. As for Nikki, I just disagree. The faster you wave off the the loser champion, the better. She was booked as a fluky loser who sees the positive in everything, so her swiftly moving forward to new horizons makes character sense to me. It seems appropriate for her silly gimmick.
