  1. Based on what is the list real?

And nothing says that the same thing did no apply to the video game version. Nothing says that the wrestlers weren't responsible for the DLC characters aswell. Just look at what we've seen from the Bump in the Night pack... There definitely was a massive Bray Wyatt influence in the DLC. He even provided commentary for the matches. Pretty good indicator that we might get Cena & Fandango on commentary for the Southpaw DLC aswell.

Based on data, found by modders.

This wouldn't be the first time people found stuff in the data of these games, that wasn't supposed to be available when it was leaked.

And just compare the list, to the actual Southpaw Cast, do you really think that's the best they could've come up with? That Johnny Gargano would call himself "Glam Rock Johnny Gargano", instead of coming up with a proper name.

  2. Nothing about the three other DLC packs has been revealed so far.

Either way...all of the Southpaw characters are fully made up. It's just WWE employees simulating a cheesy, southern territory from ages ago. With TJ Perkins, Rhyno and Chris Jericho gone, we were bound to get different characters.

They've been revealed through the list that was leaked. And WhatsTheStatus on Twitter(who is a modder on PC) even confirmed that they're real when he was asked about it. And he isn't the type of guy that would make up stuff like this.

Yes, all of them are "made up", but not made up by 2K with their real names that just got new nicknames. The people involved actually put some effort into creating these characters, that the wrestlers themselves made up.

And those are just 3... We still have Cena, Fandango, Gallows, Anderson, Styles, Rusev, Lana, Natalya, Ziggler, Miz, Bryan, Harper, Big E, Woods & Slater and technically Rollins, Ascension or Jordan(who iirc still works for WWE).

So even without TJP, Rhyno & Jericho or Rollins, Ascension & Jordan, we would've had more than enough characters.

  3. I seriously wonder why on earth anyone working for that company even remotely thinks that it's a good idea to give us a bunch of made up characters, instead of the real Southpaw characters... And they didn't even bother coming up with good names, they just use the real names with stupid nicknames. So instead of someone like "Nicci Lee Styxxx" we get "Glam Rock Johnny Gargano". They had a rock gimmick they could've used, but instead we're going to get a crappy version based on Johnny Gargano and now have to waste a bunch of CAW slots for characters that should've been in this DLC.

It's so typical for them to even mess up something as simple as this.

Empire of tomorrow is probably futuristic stuff. I don't see why you would see the themes of the other three and think it means NXT.

What about the term "futuristic" excludes future stars?
Nothing, but for once he has a point. I wouldn't get your hopes up for NXT, it's most likely Sci-Fi stuff. I wouldn't be surprised to see some Star Trek knock-off attires in there.

No one said anything about the pack not having a theme to it. It's the whole gimmick of these Originals DLC. But there is no reason to assume that "Empire of tomorrow" is nothing but Sci-Fi redesigns of the in-game wrestlers, when "Wrestlers of Tomorrow" also fits with the theme well enough. "Tomorrow" here doesn't need to be Sci-Fi based. It could also be a Empire (WWE) in 10/20/30 years kind of theme. With a custom Raw and SmackDown, aswell as other "futuristic" stuff, that isn't straight up Space Odyssey

"Empire of Tomorrow" doesn't need to mean NXT, for NXT wrestler to be present in the pack, most obviously KUSHIDA.

Given how the first pack is just one new guy (Fiend) and a bunch of reskins I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the packs follow suit. Though I see your point about the arenas. Look, I'm not trying to burst your bubble, I'm just trying to stop a stupid backlash when people get upset that 2K "lied" about something they never promised to begin with.

Actually, a thought just came to me; if the Southpaw pack is real, does that confirm Jericho, Rhyno & Simon Gotch as well as a playable Renee Young for the first time?

They can easily do a Southpaw DLC without Jericho, Rhynp, Gotch & TJP. Just like they did a Bryan Showcase without Punk, Ryback, AJ & The Nexus.

  5. the only way i see me getting any use and/or enjoyment out of the Originals DLC....is if these fantasy characters are stupid overpowered. And like move faster, jump higher....with crazy gravity defying versions of their moves.

i need Undertaker with purple flame glowing fists or something. Give me Doink like in WM Arcade with the joybuzzer that electrocutes people.

If ur going to give me something as dumb as Sheamus as a gas station attendant...as DLC. He better come with a jumping spinning Irish Curse Backbreaker and a Brogue Kick thats sends the opponent backflipping across the damn ring.

I mean. They could've given us King Sheamus. Debut spiky hair Sheamus with the old Razors Edge finisher. But you giving me Sheamus in a mechanics shirt. There best be a good reason to play as him you know.

That Sheamus is supposed to be based on Shaun Of The Dead, not some generic "gas station attendant". He isn't supposed to have any super powers either, since Shaun didn't have any either, he just fought of Zombies with generic weapons & stuff. Which is what you're going to do in Sheamus' "All Fed Up" Story Tower Mode... Fight against Superstars turned into Zombies.

    1. They haven't announced the full roster yet.

    2. This Originals DLC has absolutely no influence on them being in the game or not! Last year we got regular DLC packs, and guess what! We didn't get Ciampa, Murphy, Kendrick & Cross! The year before that? No Andrade! And your mediorce meme won't convince all of these people or the people that own the copyright to their likeness, to let WWE & 2K add them to their game.

    3. Owen Hart? Really? His wife hates WWE, and would never allow it. They could do a 100% realistic game, that would have no influence on that.

Sorry, but if we suddenly aren't getting some of the NXT names in the game that we usually would get as DLC, guys that debut later in the year around WM or after, yeah I'm gonna say that these fantasy packs are the reason why.

    But they're not the reason.

Or did I miss something and there was a 2K Originals DLC last year? Or do you have another conspiracy theory for Ciampa, Cross, Murphy & Kendrick not being in the game?

Goddammit! Now you've put a Southpaw Regional Wrestling pack in my head :/

I've wanted to see SRW content in the 2K Games ever since they started it... But for some reason we didn't even get the different Southpaw Logos & Designs in 2K18 or 19.

But they would be the reason, least potentially. First, your comparison isn't even related to begin with since you are talking about wrestlers who voluntarily decided to not be included in the game. Secondly, if there isn't enough time to scan and Mocap and do everything that's needed to get wrestlers onto the disc that signed to NXT in April because they have to develop a robot version of Bobby Lashley or some other absurd alt for Originals, that'll be the influence for it. Time is not an infinite resource.

No, the only reason for a wrestler to either be in the game or not, is if they decided to sign a deal with WWE & 2K or not, or if WWE wanted to them to be in the game or not. That's the only reason.

As you said, "wrestlings who voluntarily decided to not be included in the game"... Guess what! That can also be said about wrestlers that have never been in a WWE game before, like Andrade Cien Almans not even being a DLC for WWE 2K18, or a bunch Legends that didn't sign a Legends Deal with WWE. That's why we didn't get Terry Gordy or Stan Hansen as part of the Hall Of Fame Showcase, when we got everyone else from that years HoF Class. Time wasn't the reason for Gordy & Hansen to not be part of the game. Time might only a reason for people way behind the cutoff date, a date that no one knows... You mention April, but no one ever officially confirmed that to be the official cut of date for the On-Disc Roster & DLC.

Since the first Originals DLC, is available on release day for people that pre-ordered, they clearly would've had all the time in the world to give us The Fiend as an On-Disc Character, even though he had his debut match, and before that only had apperances on Segments on Television.

And you don't even know what the other Originals DLC Packs are going to be anyway. The first one will feature an actual WWE Superstar in "The Fiend", so they could easily give us normal versions in future packs as well.
