https://x.com/WWEgames/status/1895639265603960890 DLC teaser? DLC teaser! And looks like Guilia AND Vaquer made it!
-
Would make sense, DLC last year was detailed on 2/26...so probably this weekend leading into the reveal week and early access.
-
The mad lads did it. METAFOUR ENTRANCE UPLOADED
-
Status is there? Shocker. Seeing as how he's been so outspoken/treated with little to no respect by the publisher over the 24 cycle, i'm stunned he not only got invited BUT accepted and is part of the uploaders for this event!
-
It's still a week out from release. Saving that DLC announcement for next week before the game drops....this week seems to be focused on MyRise. Next week would have to be DLC right before the early access period starts.

like grix. sorry but i can't take a guy with a flower tattoo on his face seriously. especially an egotisitcal modder who thinks he should be paid for it. PAID! bunch of idiots, let me tell ya.
-
Typical. That's 2K marketing, never early, always at the buzzer with these guys to build FOMO.
-
This is Take Two Interactive. They have mandated MTX in every single big name game they produce. GTA, RDR2, NBA, PGA, and now WWE. If people weren't stuck in their bubbles they would understand that this was always going to happen. They want you to spend money. Time and time again. And even if you personally don't partake in this mode, a stupid kid who wants views and streams will. And those are the ones who are going to be steering the direction of the franchise. It's the tragedy of gaming in 2025. 69.99 USD isn't enough

Don't listen to fringe fanbases on the internet. The loud minority only seems loud because of the echo chamber reverb.
-
^that part. If people actually used common sense (shocker, I know) you'd might understand that there's a thing called PR and they tell you what you can and can't talk about when doing interviews with the community.
-
Charging for mod access is loser behavior. I'll never understand why people think they should be paid for it, like c'mon, you're not the all mighty creator you think you are because you paywalled a mod. (*cough GRIX cough*)
-
Exactly! It's not a thing that just happens, these take a lot of cooperation from 2K and WWE and those don't move quickly. A simple understanding of game development goes a long way.
-
There is a difference between an arena (which is just presentation stuff and easily banged out) and midcard titles (which require a lot more work than just plugging the belt into the game, it's PBP recording commentary about the belts, ring announcer VO work for announcing the belts, proper programming and having the graphics before the match)
-
Man, are people excessively stupid around here? Cora was injured for all of the game's development time and by the time she came back in October, all the work on the game was finished. And Bliss was also out of action as well. So explain, what was 2K supposed to do in that situation when those (and others) were unable to be scanned due to inury? JFC. And the midcard titles not being in the game when they were announced and unveiled in November/December! My god, people are stupid....soooo stupid.
-
^ Exactly. A new developer would be prioritizing getting the game out, period. And anything else that isn't critical towards the launch product would be probably either on a Season roadmap or part of a second game. Modern gaming is all about ship now, patch later.

Do the words "unprecedented disaster" come to mind? Because I'll lay it out. 1. The current engine would be scrapped. Taking with it match types, animations, and so many other features that took years to be built up and might not come back, ever. 2. The only other options for a WWE game that could be done with the yearly release demands would be EA. And you think 2K is bad now, EA would be far far worse. 3. Creation mode would be pared all the way back to rudimentary functionality. Create an Arena, Create a Show, Create a Belt, etc = GONE. Just create a star and moveset and entrance would remain. So yes, a total unprecedented disaster. Just be careful what you wish for, the medicine is worse than the disease sometimes.

I did hear some people were discussing ways to port CAWS from last-gen to new-gen and I feel like there's gonna be a few people who are going to act as "port/conversion" teams that maybe work hand-in-hand with CAW creators to bring their designs to CC. It's a lot more work but outside of buying two copies and expending 2x the effort when you can just send a ZIP file with designs, textures and etc to someone and guide them hand-in-hand in replicating the designs 1:1....oh well. Guess we need to just deal with it and either move forward or move on from the series.
-
Yeah the chat is always just dumb with people spamming and spamming thinking "surely if i ask 50 times he'll see me!" Nah.
-
Sigh. Welp there it is....and now the question begins, where do the CAW makers go for this year, or do they all just hold pat with 2K24 for another year until the servers shut down? The mind boggles...looks like I'll just buy on Xbox like I always do, hope the scene gets going this year for next-gen and if that doesn't happen, Steam Sale for PC in the summer! The base roster might have to tide me over, whilst the creators either spread to last gen or stay with 2K24 in defiance (which I would fully support)
-
No more non wrestlers as characters. Period.
-
i think that owes to the limitation of legend trons (which might be either lost to time or in bad shape owing to being shot and formatted in 4:3 standard def) so either they reconstruct the tron or just opt for a cheap generic tron. It's whatever. Now in regards to the showcase match selection: why is Nia Jox winning the QOTR tournament more worthy of Showcase than Nia vs Alexa Bliss at Mania 34 where Nia won the Women's Championship for the first time in her career?
-
https://wwe.2k.com/2k25/ringside-report/showcase/ Awesome, a full detailed match list for Showcase and the changes made for Showcase as well (bye-bye awkward instrumental music)
-
Been a long time since we got "Bad Man" Rikishi in a game, and I'm excited. Also getting a new Mania IX and KOTR 93 and RAW 97 arena is a big bonus. Now we just need to see the DLC roster (please no streamers/influencers)
-
You never know but I think they might have that. It's doable, they have a similar mechanic with giants and super heavyweights where attacks won't knock them down in most circumstances. So I'd imagine the tech is in place for such a feature to be implemented.

Zzzzz. I'll wait for Smacktalks to list em all.
