On the downside, the patch has messed up basically any CAW that uses a logo to cover up parts of attires, which is practically all of them...

Yes, I've turned it off on everyone except for a few of the bigger wrestlers because I don't mind them shrugging off the odd strike.

It's a possibility but by no means guaranteed. They'll be seeking seperate TV rights deals for example, and I don't know what sort of contractual commitment EA and UFC have, and how long is left on it. There was talk recently that both WWE and 2K were receptive to extending their deal, I suppose we'll have an indication of what's going to happen depending on if that happens or not.

For the sake of the DLC I hope it blows over but apparently Rick Steiner was transphobic and abusive yesterday at Wrestlecon, has since been banned by the promoter and a lot of wrestlers have come out against Rick, including Impact Wrestling and Chris Jericho. If it carries on gathering steam it could be the second year in a row a wrestler is dropped from the DLC for controversy.

Maybe, if you get into the nitty gritty, but minute to minute to works a lot better than 2K20. I mean I don't think many reviewers are going to care you can't select trio entrances in Universe Mode, and even if they noted it they're hardly going to think it's a major issue.

They used to add tag entrances motions in updates in the old games, I know that’s how we got the Sami and Kevin one. Wouldn’t be surprised if this Damage CTRL one and hopefully tag entrances for the Dirty Dawgs, RK-Bro and Los Lotharios come in a patch, tag entrances for the Brawling Brutes and Judgment Day wouldn’t hurt either. There’s clearly an issue with tag and especially trio entrances working with Universe Mode, which is why they’ve disabled trio entrances being editable in Universe Mode. It must break the mode or something, and considering it doesn’t take much to break it as is, it must be really obvious. It’s annoying but you can set all those tag teams having their correct entrance motions yourself, it doesn’t seem to hurt the mode so no idea why they messed around with the tag entrances so much.

So basically it breaks the game if they enable it in Universe Mode. Great, just like advanced entrances last year. Is it going to be like this until they start from scratch which, realistically, they’re never going to do?

Is there anyway to stop the AI going for weapons in triple threats, fatal fourways, etc? I get they're no DQ matches but every single one of them turns into hardcore/extreme rules matches and that's not strictly true to life, especially TV matches.

The only workaround I’ve thought about is setting a tag rivalry between the two singles guys you want feuding with their partners being people you would like to face and pick the rivalry options that result in tag singles matches. Obviously these options are limited though.

Unfortunately not. I thought a way to do it would be removing everyone from whatever division your guy is in except the guy you want to face, but all that meant was that he faced someone off the other brand which was annoying.

I don't even have to do that, I think you just need one active rivalry and then any single or tag match on the card can have rivalry actions. Sometimes the list of actions is empty but I make a second rivalry, usually with the people in the match I'm trying to add actions to, and that usually fixes it.

Everytime I get a blank rivalry action list I just back out and create a new rivalry and then it'll let me pick again. Though I guess that won't work if you're already using your four slots, I never do, I keep track of my rivalries other ways and have one active so I can use rivalry actions on all my matches if I desire.

So new patch doesn't fix trio entrances in Universe, doesn't let you select Cody Rhodes music or hear it when using him with an alt attire, Ludwig's snapmare still doesn't exist outside of his signatures, you still can't select a normal entrance for title entrances BUT don't worry guys... they "fixed" Edge's blue tights...

They're leaving money on the table too, I'll admit I'm a total simp and would pay the MyFaction premium for that Austin attire for example, if I could use it in the other modes or use the parts in CAW.

You need to accept the gaming press and wider gaming community disagree with you en masse. This isn’t a case of “the games are selling better despite getting worse”, it’s a case of a series turning itself around in both perception and popularity because of fundamental changes the developers have made. You just don’t like those changes.

These moves better become available.

One massive improvement for me, which I haven't seen anyone talk about, is that I haven't seen the slow German Suplex reversal that would happen all the time in 2K22.
