Hoping Shane wins only from a storyline perspective. They could really go deep with this if Owens loses. Have him show up at HQ, attack NXT superstars, maybe even a few teases at going to other promotions. Maybe even show up at a few events outside of WWE, within reason of course.

"Attack NXT superstars."

Nope, sounds like a heel to me. Causing mayhem is fine, but he shouldn't be attacking unestablished stars as a face.

Austin, Rock, Cena, Hogan, DX, Reigns, Rollins, Taker, even Teddy freakin' Long. Babyfaces behaving like uncalled for jackasses is nothing new. Plus, how are NXT guys not established? Several of them have gotten massive pops for their main roster debuts. Plus, I doubt they'd feed him Keith Lee or anything. He'd either get a lower end guy like Kona Reeves whose stock will rise just from being in the ring with a guy KO's level, or a guy who is on the verge of being called up like Gargano.

They're unestablished in the sense they're developing stars on a developmental brand. Having KO go there to launch some unprovoked attack on them is not the right statement to make for a guy like KO. He has a vendetta against authority figures like Shane who mistreat talent, not people who are trying to make a name and living for themselves in this business. This hypothetical attack fundamentally goes against what KO stands for.

Eh. Dating back to NXT Owens has had no issue attacking and injuring anyone who got in the way of what he wanted. I think him *censored*ing up a Takeover match or two to get himself noticed is far from out of character for him, but we'll agree to disagree.

As a heel, yes.

This is a different Owens. Thats the point. Hes on a path of change. Hes less about himself and his selfish needs and more about facilitating a place that gives people a chance to showcase their talent. He can still create mayhem, but it should be aimed at egotistical authority figures and their allies for the time being.
