What are your views on fans going to shows and acting asshole-ish towards wrestlers?

Before I start, yeah I know we have our right to express our views towards certain wrestlers heel or face, but there's a difference and way of doing it without looking like a complete idiot.

Now the reason why I started the topic

https://twitter.com/bodegawrestling/status/1137556896464941056?s=21

I mean this whole movement of wanting to hijack a show, hype to just troll a certain wrestler during their match and the whole wrestlers should just take it cuz [/i]itz der jerbs[/i] movement is stupid.

https://twitter.com/djmggot1/status/1137641003408605184?s=21

Now if Taya, Johnny, or any other wrestler that has dealt or will deal with this hit him or her(female fans been a problem too, just not as extreme) then he wouldve been quick to cry to the cops or lawyer even though its proof you was acting all tough during the match and earlier in the night. https://twitter.com/thetayavalkyrie/status/1137564979467603968?s=21

Do that shit at home behind your social media accounts where you feel safe . Obviously you look stupid paying money just to end up thrown out and possibly banned from future events.

What also kills me is that it be grown ass people doing this too  Like do y'all have no self control or common sense? These be the same ones posting get worked bro etc , but wanna bark loud when the tables are turned because you wanna act up. Idk maybe its just me being mature than the next and knowing how things can go left if I decided to say *Censored* it, at the next wrestling show imma get floor seats so I can be an ass towards Baron Corbin and idk, Mandy Rose or someone just for the lulz and views. Bottom line is that if you wanna be a total asshole, can't hold your alcohol, etc and end up stomped out by security or *censored*ed up by whatever wrestler you heckling at then *shrug* you deserve it. Certain fans gotta get out this stupid entitled attitude. Shit is gonna get em *censored*ed up one day. Keep thinking that what happened to that fan at the HOF wont be you

Yeah I know it was technically a different situation but it was still an idiot fan doing an idiot thing.

Anyway discuss. I know some are gonna bring up ECW and shows back in the day but discuss regardless.

Pretty sure they may have had crazier back in the day, but fans also got beaten the *Censored* up more back in the day. Everybody knew what they were in for. But that's that environment. That worked for the ECW's and the Sabu's of that time, but that wasn't ideal then and it isn't now.

You can chant, boo and even exchange light banter and in some extreme moments, you can even put getting a bit heated under the fan experience. Getting in someone's face like this however, I don't know all the facts, but I'm going to take a guess and state the fan went over the line. And then he spat at Tara, definitely went over the line.

Not sure if this is the same situation Bully Ray was talking about, probably is, but we live in an era of disrespect. Not to be confused with having a rebellious nature, the current cultural climate thrives on being as viciously disrespectful as possible. That's part of how Becky Lynch got popular. On the internet, it means a W to whoever can "slay" the hardest, irl it means who can shout the loudest.

Also, the "I pay for my ticket"-argument is *censored*ing horseshit. Paying means you get to see the action, not to have absolute control over it. People take the "customer is king"-approach way too literal. I'd hope this is an isolated incident, but they need to nip that shit in the bud and make sure the next guy thinks twice about doing that shit.

Fans who act like assholes, for almost any reason, should get kicked out and depending on the severity, banned. They paid to watch the show, as I think Jiggy said, they didn't pay to act like shitheads, disrupt or ruin the show for others, or harass the employees.

Fans that do that shit should get punched plain and simple. If you touch or go after a wrestler, you should get the work then get thrown out or possibly fined. People are entitled, disrespectful *censored*s in this day and age.

They've always been like that.. didn't ECW and smaller shows see stuff like that? And then you had WCW fans throw stuff when Hogan turned heel. Can't imagine what smaller promotions have seen either.

That Bully Ray incident seemed blown out of proportion, banter was going back and forth she called the guy a virgin he said something about how sad it must be to suck Bully Rays dick. This is different though, you don't scream in someones face the way that dude did to Taya. Fans gotta realize that alot of wrestlers don't play that shit. Kingston went after a fan that wanted to be apart of the show a few months ago.

I dont give a *Censored* if you are at a wrestling show and are encouraged to jeer at the bad guys, you act like a god damn human being to everyone. There is a limit. Boo and shout at them? Yes, that is what its about, but do not be derogatory, homophobic or racist. Do not get physically involved (that includes spitting and throwing things) and do not do anything to get yourself kicked out.

There are some wrestling fans who use the excuse of its wrasslin, the heels are desperate to get you to hate them in any way. No. it doesnt give you an excuse to act like a disgusting person.

When it comes to fan interactions, obviously there are limits, like no racist or homophobic chants, and if someone is standing at ringside, right by the barricade, you do NOT have the right to reach over and touch them, in ANY way. However, I do slightly disagree on the throwing things. While you definitely should not be throwing things like full/glass bottles which could cause some serious damage, throwing light trash in the ring can really boost a promo. Lets look at two examples:

Try to imagine either of these without the trash, and they lose a lot of impact. It does have its place and its time, but when done right, it can add a lot.

If you're in the seat you paid for, then you can say whatever you want. But that's it. No crossing of the barrier, and no physical altercations with the performers. And if you become too obnoxious for the people around you, then I think you should be removed too. I mean...it's obviously your right to react however you want to the action in the ring (be that positively or negatively). But, if you're ruing the show for 50 or 100 people in your general vicinity, then the security has every right to remove you. It's the same general rule about any public place. You have freedom of speech...but not freedom to disturb the peace or be a public nuisance.

The Bully Ray shit, Bully and his girlfriend were in the wrong. Just booing and throwing a few insults is fine, that's the point. Unless new info came in, that's basically all that dude did, and the women spat at him, and then BR him him backstage to verbally abuse him. Oh no, he booed your wife/GF and said she sucks. She was a heel.

Boo and throw some insults at the heels all you want, that's the point. Obviously any more if too far, like don't spit at the wrestlers (the wrestlers need to see this themselves lmao), punch them, be racist, tell them to kill themselves etc.

Why would he? Wouldn't he lose the lawsuit for assaulting a woman, who punched him in self-defense?

That's disgusting. You would never do that while shopping at a store, so you should never do that while watching an event. Some people just seriously need to stay civil.
