I just got back to my room and WHAT AN AMAZING SHOW. THE MAIN EVENT WAS INCREDIBLE. I dont know how it sounded on tv but we were LOUD and on FIRE in the crowd all night. The main event was one of the best matches i have witnessed live.

If Wrestle Flow raps you to the ring, you're gonna win :hqhq:

Out of anything, Johnny shouldn't have kicked out of the Panama Sunrise to the outside lol. I try not to be bugged by Gargano's resiliency but yeah. That move should've been at least a lead up to the finish

Same. I started to get irritated after he kicked out of it.

Thought we saw Kyle O'Reilly get permanently paralysed on this show. Jeez.

Glad he's fine enough to list Adam Cole up after the main event.

Speaking of...Gargano should one day get the biggest standing ovation as an entry in the NXT Hall of MVPs

He's Mr. NXT and what an incredible match this was.

Glad no UE break up was happening.

Can't wait for Io Shirai vs. Shayna Baszler in a Hardcore match

Just finished the show. Very good all around. Shayna is garbage though.

Yeah i agree. The womens title match the last several Takeovers really ends up being a bump in the road of an otherwise amazing show for me.

Also NXT hates face World champions lmao like how many dudes have had a month reign before dropping it?

Same. I wouldve been okay if he kicked out of the normal version, and then the end was to the outside, thrown in the ring,

Then The Last Shot.

O'Reilly was on some final destination shit last night. There were seriously about three times when he could have been paralyzed or even killed. First, the ladder was awkwardly pushed out from under him by Forgotten Sons, and he fell spine-first on the hard edge of the leg, leaving a bloody mark on his back for the rest of the show. We still might not know the full extent of that damage until sometime down the road. Then, Forgotten Sons were double-suplexed with the ladder over their heads, but they let go of the ladder mid-move...that ladder came smoking through the air and almost took O'Reilly's head off. And lastly, there was a point when O'Reilly was just laying outside the ring, and one of the Forgotten Sons decided to throw the spare ladder over the top rope without even checking who was out there...again, that ladder came flying at high velocity, with the heaviest part narrowly missing Kyle's *censored*ing head.

Luck of the Irish that boy didn't die.

So did anyone else find it weird that Breeze took a selfie with Dream after his match? The guy has been ragging on you for weeks, he tries to cheat in your match, and after he beats you, you try to take a selfie with him? He made you look like a chump. Why are you showing you respect him?

Because it's the only Breeze will ever get a selfie with a Championship

Yeah, I was expecting a heel turn or something. Guess it was just his own weird way of passing the torch. Maybe Breeze respects his game as he was a dirty heel his whole NXT run too. Maybe they are slow burning into a turn, as Triple H confirmed yesterday that his NXT run isn't over. But man, it did make Breeze look like a chump.

Rewatching the ladder match now and just seen the spot where Fish got tossed hard into the post. Just remembered him coming out in a sling at the end of the night. Any update on him?

No, I didn't think the selfie spot was weird at all.

It was full-circle story telling, and I thought it was the perfect closing for a one-off grudge match.

Dream had mockingly offered Breeze a selfie the other week on NXT tv, and Breeze took offense...because, he thought he could beat Dream. Now, after losing to Dream, accepting the selfie was Breeze's way of saying "okay..fair enough". It's exactly the same as when two guys have a bitter feud and they come to respect each other at the end, and they shake hands. It worked very well, I thought. It also goes to show that Breeze was okay with doing whatever he could to win as well. It speaks towards Breeze not being upset that Dream essentially cheated...because he probably would have done the same. And Dream had to show respect to Breeze in taking the selfie as well, because he specifically already told Breeze on NXT tv, that it was his one and only chance to get a selfie with the champ. He went against that statement to allow it on Takeover, which showed some level of respect for Breeze.

It was just a fun moment to show that even two guys who are completely full of themselves can still be chill at the end of the day. Honestly, that moment took what was kind of a middle-of-the-road match and made it worth ever taking place.
