St★rstruck Posted September 19, 2018 Report Share Posted September 19, 2018 Former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio has agreed to make a return to the WWE as PWInsider.com is reporting that he has signed his contract, which is for two years. This has been an expected move for months now and both sides have put pen to paper to make the deal official. It was noted in the report that Mysterio was trying to get an 18-month contract but WWE wanted a two-year deal, which is ultimately what was agreed upon. Whats interesting is that Mysterio has a clause in his contract that will allow him to give notice at the 18-month mark of the deal. Finally, the report states that as of this writing, Mysterio is just wanting to make his return as WWE officials still need to position him back into their storylines. Mysterio has already made some appearances for the company this year (competing in the Royal Rumble Match at the pay-per-view event in January and wrestling in the 50-Man Royal Rumble Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble PPV). Obviously his first few years in the company were incredible. Looking back on it, a lot of stars were on fire back in '09. I want this dude to pop in and out of SD, Raw, NXT, and 205 Live for any reason, or no reason at all.
