It sounds like he is saying they aren't getting over on the main roster because they are no long big fishs in a small pond. And against the main roster they don't have any stand out traits like looks, mic skills, or wrestling skills.. That is pretty much what he was saying, but he also happened to make a small inappropriate remark and people have decided to segregate the small remark and make a big deal out of it.
