Not sure if already posted but I was watching this match and the fact the commentators are talking about Ronda winning the title at SummerSlam was kinda shocking, wasn't expecting it to be that up-to-date.

Even so, Ronda winning the belt will turn into years ago. And I am sure she would have been the default champ if she was in the base game.

It's more so about the fact she won the title in her 3rd match rather than her being the current champ so I don't see it being an issue. Whether it happened last month or years ago I don't have a problem with the commentators recalling big moments that happened in a superstar's career.

Question: If I were to run a Women's only Universe mode and have a Women's Division and a Diva's Division on the same brand, who would you class as Divas? I'm not wanting it to just be women that were active during that era

Weirdly enough, I think the best looking model this year may be Tamina. For a woman who's probably been on TV the least out of everybody, her model looks damn spot on! I was almost floored. Besides her, Alexa, Sasha, Paige, Mandy, and even Nia look pretty good. Alicia's model almost looks as creepy as Dana's 2K17 model. I was also happy to see them update Paige. Even though she's retired now, she was on TV late last year and they didn't even have to give Absolution their entrance but they did and I'm grateful they did that. I wonder if they have a tag team entrance for Mandy/Sonya.

 

I do have a few nitpicks; I notice a good chunk of them have the same entrance as last year but to be fair, quite a few of them haven't really changed their entrance since last year, so they probably didn't feel the need to change it. But for some of them, it certainly wouldn't have hurt. I mean, if we're gonna use that excuse, they didn't need to update Braun's entrance because his hasn't changed really besides more emphasis on his posing lol

Lame...especially with the sheer volume of women in this year. It wouldnt be as big a deal if Universe was better, but at a certain point youve got a mass of women with nothing to do with.

 

In other news, Trishs updated model and entrance look AMAZING. I wish theyd done the same for Lita and the other legends. I would have loved a version of Ivory from her 2003 run and Jackie in her one piece that she used to wear.

 

That's been my issue with the women for a while in the game. So many to play but at the same time I don't know what to do with them outside of Exhibition Mode.

 

& Agreed about Lita. I wish they would just give some of these women two attires; one is retro, the other is current/final era. I would've given Lita her retro attire, which is the one they've been putting her in, and her attire with Edge (or her Rumble '18 attire). Same goes for Trish.

 

I was kinda bummed that they did NOTHING with Beth Phoenix; they literally imported her from 2K18. I'm not even shocked that her model's the same, much like Lita they probably didn't get to re-scan her, but they could've given her a different attire. I know we got CC but we shouldn't always have to lol.

Found naomi's entrance lacking. no coat, no head accessory, and not much glow.

 

Sasha entrance would be good if she had something on her hands.

Yeah her entrance would be near perfect if they put her BOSS hand rings on her. Without them, some parts of her entrance looks like she's trying to channel her inner Maryse. That's kinda've a pain because even though we can add it on ourselves, that's just a waste of an attire slot lol.

Really you think Tamina looks good this year I think she looks really, really bad. Liked her a lot in 2k18

Hmm...Carmella, Lana, Mandy Rose, Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair as a dominant diva (similar to Beth Phoenix), Alexa Bliss (a diva similar to AJ Lee), Billie Kay & Peyton Royce would suit your Divas Division very well.

I rather they add Alexa Bliss' title entrance (title behind her head and wink at the camera). For how long she been champion, you would think that something they would already have in the game.

Well, she did this in 2k18 when you had a title match with her and she got announced.

Probably one of the best storylines I came up with last year in terms of Women was the formation of The D.I.V.A.S (Desireable, Intelligent, Virtuous & Athletic Superstars) who were anti-women's Evolution which featured Maryse as the leader and Lana & Summer Rae as her lackeys. They ran dominant over the Smackdown Women's Division for a couple of months, which led to Maryse capturing the championship & having the longest reigning Smackdown Women's Championship run of 230+ days. However, because Summer isn't on this year's roster and Lana has a...uh...different look, I've been thinking about replacing them both with Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke in 2K19. Thoughts on that or is there any better options?

 

I've already written Summer Rae out of the team in 2K18 in a career vs career match at Summerslam which was between her and Maryse. The match came about after Summer's distraction backfired at the previous PPV, causing Maryse to lose her title to Beth. So during the build to Summerslam, the team gradually fell apart with Maryse forcing Lana to pick her side, however when it came down to it, a reluctant Lana assisted Maryse to victory at Summerslam causing Summer Rae's contract to be immediately terminated.

 

The current plan is to continue this storyline on in 2K19, however, I'm still trying to figure out the best way to introduce the 2 new members of the team. Despite that, I look forward to continuing my universe from where I left off- something which I don't usually do.

I always do a year following on from my Universe but once that's done, I plan on having an all women's universe, 21 women on each show, Zelina as a manager too.

 

Main titles, tag titles and a secondary title on each show. I try to avoid CAWs as much as possible
