Physicist Stephen Hawking has died at the age of 76, a spokesman for his family has said

http://www.bbc.com/n...me=news_central

The legendary boffin's children confirmed the national tressure died in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

His children Lucy, Robert and Time said in a statement: "We are deeply saddened that our beloved father passed away today.

“He was a great scientist and an extraordinary man whose work and legacy will live on for many years.

“His courage and persistence with his brilliance and humour inspired people across the world.

“He once said, ‘It would not be much of a universe if it wasn’t home to the people you love.’ We will miss him forever.”https://www.dailysta...-science-legend

It was a long time coming I think but to live as long as he did and achieve all he did with a terrible illness is a really inspiring thing. RIP Mr Hawking

It's weird, I felt like he would've lived forever. When someone that great lives in your era, he feels too supreme to die.

Britain has taken a huge loss with his passing as has the world. A real mind for the ages, terribly heartbreaking.

Kinda unreal to think he's gone. Like Jiggy said he just seemed too supreme to die in a way.

He was overrated, but still a medical miracle. Rest in peace.

Overrated as what exactly? An intellectual? I mean, you can't call his IQ level "overrated" that is genuinely *censored*ing stupid.

Also, the guy literally just died. What do you get out of saying something negative about him? Other than voice your baseless opinion. Show a little respect, the guy changed the world for good. Lets celebrate a brilliant man and scientific mind without feeling the need to resort to that BS.

Ha ha ha I'm gonna say something dickish about him, but then wish him a restful death. Like...what? Shut up if you have nothing to say.

Yeah...how is a person overrated? What a bizarre thing to say.

And if you mean to say that he wasn't as smart as everyone made him out to be...how would you even begin to know as much? You'd basically need to be just as smart or smarter than he was to be able to call bullshit on his intelligence (or lack thereof).

How are you gonna be calling the bluff on a dude when you can't even wrap your mind around half the shit he said?

Take a chill pill. Not everyone has to come in and say what you want them to say. He thinks he's overrated and probably didn't agree with him some things. Is what it is. Doesn't mean he can't say what he feels because the man is gone. The dude was 76. The fact he lasted that long in his condition is pretty miraculous. He didn't really even trash the guy.

No one was even giving FulGore any real grief; Just asking for clarification on how a person can be overrated.

Why don't you take your own advice on that chill pill.
