Beardd
So with this Jinder/Styles title match coming up, I feel like this needs to be said. Styles is better than Jinder in every single way and I'm in no way impressed with Jinder's run as champion. However, after months of every dirtsheet site calling him a failure and blaming low ratings on him, it trips me out that barely any site is mentioning how the ratings haven't improved since Styles become champion. There is practically no difference and SD took a dip again on December 12th. So was it biased reporting? Or fact? I'm leaning towards the former. I honestly think the fact the state of the weekly shows is to blame. Not the champs. Edit: This was supposed to be posted in the Clash of Champions thread. But eh, one of them will be champ at the Rumble.
Willows Way
Tbf AJ is still feuding with Jinder which no one gives a shit about so the ratings aint gunna change till he gets a new opponent

Yeah, but did that happen, though? And even if it did, the problem is Jinder is still in the title picture, makes no difference if he's holding the belt or chasing it. Beardd
Yeah. There were many reports/columns that blamed him. And come on now, that is just silly. I would bet a fair bit of money that Zayn, Owens or even Orton moving into a feud with AJ wouldnt boost ratings either. There is simply no reason to tune into weekly shows. Hes certainly a savior from a shit title reign so thats good enough for me. *Censored* ratings

Lil' Kazu
That's what WWE tries to tell fans anyway. Which in a way isn't wrong but their next TV rights negotiation should tell a story.
BestInTheWorld614
I wouldnt be surprise if WWE is still easily one of the most watched shows on USA. Hell the only time I ever have USA on is when Raw or Smackdown is on. Thats what cable companies look at now a days because cable ratings as a whole are lower than ever
Creepia
Is USA one of the main channels in the country? Or is it just a mid channel in a cable package?
Counting Lights
It's very much a mid-channel. Only, I dunno, one or two other shows on it I ever hear about, and not all that often.

Typically, TV ratings are a direct reflection of how good or bad a show is. In this case, the ratings are low - and rightfully so, in my opinion. And if they are a reflection then nothing the current crop of guys does is anywhere near the stuff of the Attitude Era.
Beardd
No. Star is objectively correct. And current WWE is not compelling television. I do not even know how somebody could argue that it is with a straight face. It feels like televised house shows at this point.

St★rstruck
I feel as though the decision to have most of the past Royal Rumble winners are out of spite toward what the majority of fans wanted to actually win, lol. It pretty much all started w/ Batista's win.
Counting Lights
I rewatched the 2016 Rumble earlier, and seeing Neville and AJ go at it really, REALLY makes me want Neville to return here and win it. Minuscule chances of it, but God damn it'd be sweet.
St★rstruck
Neville winning the Rumble is one thing, but him returning at the Rumble and winning the match itself? Yeah, it's definitely a small chance. I got a feeling that someone on SD is gonna win the Rumble again. If anyone, probably Nakamura or Styles.
