Your opinion, is it worth it? (Should I buy this game)

I've had little interest so far, but I figured I'd ask before I write it off completely.

So to start let me cover what I like to do. I like career mode or whatever it's called where you control the match cards and can play matches. I primarily play with female talent and CAWs, I usually build my own show, but I don't mind gutting Raw or SD and replacing them with females. I don't have any interest in superstar heads or anything like that. I also like an AI that isn't too strong, I play for fun if I want a challenge I'll up the difficulty.

So what may sway me is the number of unresolved bugs/glitches I am likely to encounter and the ability to play this mode the way I like with as little extra money spent as possible. So for this last data point, I need to know how many female characters are not yet available to download with the season pass.

Feel free to add any data that may help with a decision here.

Almost every mode have some major game breaking bug in them. That being said as of now my female universe show is currently fine.

If you are big fan you may can look past all this and try to find fun in the parts that kinda work.

But if you are on the fence I would wait.

Yeah, I put a lot of time and money into this years game and so many of the things that I mostly wanted to do in the game came up broken in the end. Its still a potentially great game, but buggy and unprofessional-looking to the point that I would be embarrassed to put it over or tell anyone to buy it right now. The problems have already made me kind of sick of the game, and Ive barely played it outside of creating people and testing them out.

It's a tough call honestly. I know a lot of people have been having trouble with game breaking bugs & glitches, but I guess I must be lucky to not have experienced any that have ruined my experience. I play very much the same as you, where I play primarily female wrestlers in my case being mostly CAWs in a completely custom universe. The only big issue I've experienced was universe mode not working with custom arenas and that has been fixed in the latest patch. The only issue I'm currently facing is hot tags not working for female superstars, but it's certainly not a game breaker. I don't regret buying the game and I'm having a blast with it. So judging from my own personal experience, I'd say go get it. But again, it's a gamble. Some people seem to experience bigger issues with their copies than others.

I say this in all honesty...not trying to bait a console war or talk shit...but...

I have the game on XB1, and I've had a total of ZERO problems. But...I've played at a friend's house, and watched friends stream...and the PS4 version is a broken pile of shit. That said, technical issues aside, the game itself is good but not a whole lot different from past games. The career mode is great, though. Huge improvement there.

Just a solid WWE game. And WWE games always drop in price really fast. I say you should keep an eye on black Friday sales. Might find the game for 50% off or something. If you can get it for $30-40, I would say go for it.

It's the first time I can safely say, 'no'. Don't buy the game.

I've already started reverting to 2K17. For the XB1 (standard), the framerate is horrendous in most matches that don't involve WWE Superstars in WWE arenas.

Every single new addition is nice, but always has a "... but" following shortly after.

I feel it's the first backward step from 2K. It's simply not a hugely enjoyable game to me. There's some good features, but all sloppily implemented. The game feels rushed (which it is, make no bones about it. Blame WWE all you like, but 2K agreed to the yearly release stipulation), and each patch brings new issues (freezes, horrible collision detection, sound issues)

its up to your personal preference i usually like to look for the positives amongst the bad but this game has a thumbs down from me so far i love loot crates and elements of my player but having universe ruined by constant patches and custom arena issues make the game very frustrating

If you are looking for a solid career mode experience this game is a buggy mess on that frontier. You will have two back 2 back royal rumble matches or some kind of shite glitches and you can't even take some side challenges.

My advice is to get a PC version of the game during the sale if you have a decent PC, if not don't get a PS4 version, they will not fix this game, almost they are on 5th patch now and utmost they will release another 2 patches and will be done with it. It will not fix all the issues which we are having with the game. So, its better to avoid this messy game altogether and pray for 2K19 if you are a huge fan of career mode.
