Enough is enough, it's time to take stand

Take a stand against homophobia. It's time for the WWE Universe to let their voices be heard. We will no longer tolerate their racist, sexist, and homophobic storylines. By watching their product and buying their merchandize you are enabling their bigotry. I know that the WWE Universe is passionate about wrestling and it will be hard to make these sacrifices, but if you are a good ally that cares about your LGBT brothers and sisters, you will boycott all WWE products until they meet our demands. The discrimination and bullying needs to stop, but we also want to see relatable LGBT superstars represented on TV. Where are all of the LGBT characters Stephanie McMahon promised us? It's 2017, McMahon. Get with the program.

As you may have heard, Jimmy Jacobs was recently unjustly fired from WWE for seemingly no reason. But I think we all know why the Zombie Princess was let go. In the video above, you will see shocking examples of some of your favorite WWE superstars engaging in casual homophobia. It's hard to watch superstars like AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan betray us by committing these disgusting acts. I know we are all big fans of these superstars, but everyone needs to be held accountable for their actions, just like Hulk Hogan was. While an apology would be nice, it might be better if their contracts were terminated so WWE could show their dedication to our cause.

We should all take to social media now and let WWE know that we mean business. Thank you.

This has to be some sort of joke.

It was a different time when people were using that word in promos and whatnot. Theyre characters. People have matured and that word isnt used at all unless movies call for it.

But lol at terminating contracts for promos from years ago, give me a break. God this bs is annoying. I have a good gay friend and I help him out against his *censored*ed up parents every day. But this, this I will not stand for.

Is this topic for real? If so, let me know why Seth doing homo erotic stuff is homophobic.

It's not. I didn't make the video. I only chose it because it included some of the examples I needed. I didn't mind that they included the Seth Rollins part though because I'm a big Rollins fan going back to the Tyler Black days. It's always a pleasure seeing him work.

Well the video made the entire thing seem like a joke. And the thing about Jacbos being fired because he's gay (I'm guessing) seems like a huge stretch.

One of the AJ Styles clips was from 2015. Was that such a different time? Daniel Bryan was not "in character" in that clip. And if time heals all wounds, then why is Hulk Hogan still being punished?

Had to stop the vid at the Tyler Black part.

This topic should be interesting though, you seem to have a decent argument.

How? Please explain. Is there proof that Jacobs for fired for that anywhere? Because if so, sure.

@Crowley What did he say in 2015? Just giggled about the gay community liking him? I didnt make it through the video. As for Hogan, I didnt agree with that either. It was a different time and people change.

I was a different person when I was growing up in the 90s and early 2000s than I am now. Not saying I was bad or anything but I was certainly less open-minded. Kids certainly used that word casually.

He said "faggy bowtie". I looked it up though and it might have actually been 2014 though. I'm sorry. That completely changes everything.

It does not. No need for the sarcasm.

However, I dont think that translates into I hate gays. I dont see the need to crucify him nor do I see the need to start a campaign to fire him. While I do not use the word and agree with it being outlawed, there are still people who use it out of context.

Im not saying thats okay. But I am saying WWE canning him for it would be outrageous...

WWE should terminate the contracts of AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan because of some potentially homophobic remarks? Ehh, no thanks.

Homophobia isn't good, but I simply don't want these men with families to lose their job.

There are so many valid things to criticize the WWE on but this one is such a stretch. I mean one of the higher ups and one of the closest guys to Vince is openly gay. And don't even try to tell me that that's why he's still there.

Patterson still works there? Thought he said he was retired on Jerichos podcast. But yeah, thats a good point.

When I openned this topic I wasn't sure if this was a joke thread or not

Assuming this is a serious topic, I'm on the LGTB spectrum and I couldn't care less with AJs or Bryan's cases.

I'm on the spectrum too. There are people who find that kind of thing upsetting. I've noticed that many of them have no problem trying to ruin the careers of people like Jay Briscoe and Jessicka Havok, but when fan favorites make similar comments they look the other way. It seems like people are ignoring the real issue and using it as an opportunity to manipulate people's careers for their own selfish wrestling fan reasons.

I agree, there are many more unethical things going on at WWE. The homophobia is just the tip of the iceberg. It seems that a lot of people are having a hard time dealing with this because their unwavering brand loyalty is clouding their judgement.

This whole thing seems a little bit jaded tbh. Boycotting over the internet will do nothing at all. Even if you managed to round up 100 people, they wouldn't even notice the dent.

Just seems like you're attacking individual people with careers and families to think about instead of a company who should tighten up their policies and probably enforce stricter rules regarding bigotry, if you even want to call it that.

And don't lump everyone into the whole "brand loyalty" thing. What makes us any different in regards to that than you? That is an unfair generalisation and considering you're preaching about equality, you should be a little considerate over the people you're trying to join you. Calling them sheep (paraphrasing) will not get anyone to stand with you.

Good luck, for what it's worth.

I don't know about the situation with Havok but what Jay Briscoe said was much worse than anything on that video in the OP.

How? He tweeted about how he disagreed with gay marriage and would shoot people who taught his kids that it was okay. He also tweeted the word *censored* once on a different occasion. AJ Styles has said the same word on many occasions, live at shows. It's the same thing. If anything, Styles is more guilty in my opinion because he said it in front of kids, and at least with Jay you can make the argument that its kind of fitting that the character he portrays would say that.
