"Bray Wyatt has certainly had his share of ups and downs during his time with WWE. But as long as hes been Bray Wyatt starting with his very first days as the character back in NXT no one can ever accuse him of not fully committing to the character. He gives about as many out-of-character interviews or soundbites as The Undertaker. Hell, he even went full spooky lantern when his Family appeared on SportsCenter.

So if you, like me, are a fan of wrestlers refusing to break character, you will definitely enjoy this little anecdote from the new NXT coffee table book, which was very helpfully transcribed by Redditor Suplex-City.

According to a rarely out-of-character Wyatt himself, Dusty Rhodes pressed him into going to jury duty as the character Bray Wyatt.

Bray began with my real-life lunacy, says Wyatt. Ive always been an against-all-authority kind of child. I was a big fan of Rage Against the Machine, they were a big influence on my life as a child, so when I started working with Dusty Rhodes, I began losing my mind on a very real level. I became obsessed with this character.

When Husky Harris failed on the main roster, he went all in with the Wyatt persona. I was going to jury duty in my hometown, and Dusty made me go to jury duty as Bray, Wyatt says. Dusty told me, This is the perfect exercise. Become Bray. I literally went to jury duty as Bray Wyatt. I was so immersed in the character that I didnt break once. Obviously, I didnt get picked for jury duty, but I had the white pants, Hawaiian shirt, the whole nine yards. There were no fragments of Husky Harris. Husky Harris was dead, and he was to stay dead. I was Bray Wyatt. We were one.

That rules. I mean, its possible that Wyatt admitted in print to committing perjury, but since we dont know the specifics of what the questions and answers were during his voir dire, well never know.

(Lets face facts: he probably just sat in that jury waiting room dressed like any linen-pantsed swamp dandy and stared at everyone else, then got dismissed without ever being called to a panel. But my heart will believe that he stated an inability to serve, citing hardship caused by being unable to tend to his infirm dead ghost sister and his hillbilly cultists, who rely on him.")

I love how you dont see a problem with that.

Fans not giving a shit about the cruiserweight division? Yes, I see no problem with that. Cause the fans are not to blame for it.

Yes they are. But whatever dude im not gunna argue this again with you.

You are so biased, dude. Do you also blame the crowd for booing Roman and complain about it?

No thats a completely different situation. What are we not allowed to be annoyed by a disrespectful crowd now?

No, crowds are sacred.

How is it not their fault? I dont understand lol.

Roman gets heat because hes overpushed and some dont like his matches. The CWs just go out and put on a solid match almost every time and sure as hell aint overpushed.

And anyway im addressing the CM Punk chant specifically. That chant has no business in any match.

It's WWE's fault for not giving the people any reason to care for the cruiserweights. That's the same thing as saying ratings being low is the people's fault for not tuning in.

What more can they do? Aries, Neville and Jack were all heavily featured for months how can anyone not at least grasp their characters? What do people want Corkscrew 630s every damn night? In my eyes the crowd was bad and they should feel bad plain and simple.

The Rowan thing on TalkingSmack was better than the entire episode of SmackDown.

Also, why do most women storylines revolve around friendships...? I do not care about this match or storyline at all.

It's the yearly "Face Faction vs Heel Faction" story of the Womens division, always the worst time of the year for the division.
