Hiroshi Tanahashi once said 'People won't buy into wrestlers who want to have long and healthy lives'. We all know Daniel Bryan isn't cleared to compete for the WWE, and most likely never will, however there's speculation, fed by himself as well, that he still wants to wrestle once his WWE contract runs out.

There's also speculation that if other WWE wrestlers took the same tests he did we'd see more wrestlers forced to sit in the sidelines. Some say that Bryan isn't allowed to wrestle for the WWE because he told the WWE doctors about the convulsions he suffered years ago, post concussions. But he has been cleared to compete by several doctors, just not WWE ones.

Recently I've seen people say they wouldn't be able to enjoy Daniel Bryan matches anymore because they know what the situation is. It was in a different time but Steve Austin was told by several doctors he should never wrestle again after he broke his neck and he went on to become one of the biggest wrestling stars of all time after that. Personally I would love to watch Bryan wrestle again and if it's what he wants to do I think he shoud go ahead and do it.

What do you think?

No. I would love to see Bryan wrestle again but you can tell hes one of those wrestlers that wouldnt stop and id worry about his health. Especially now when hes got a wife and is gunna be a father. Ultimately its his choice but i really hope he doesnt for his healths sake. Plus id spend the whole of his matches wincing every time he hits the mat or outside.

Dynamite Kid is a great example of going too long and paying for it, Now he's in a wheel chair for life.

I don't see the cause of what happened to Dynamite as going for too long. He took a lot of crazy bumps and got a real bad injury but I think he mostly didn't look out for himself or care about his body and that combined with a shit ton of steroids and a drug filled life heavily contributed to his current situation.

Theres a huge difference between breaking a bone and neurological injuries. Because of his history with concussions any small bump could give him another massive concussion which according to D-Bry himself was leading to other problems including seizures and probably would lead to memory loss and could lead to loss of motor skills. On top of that a broken bone for the most part can be fixed with surgery. Brain damage is at the time irreversible.

As much as i want to see him wrestle again he shouldn't. He has a kid now.

I'd like to think he knows the extent of his injuries and can make a rational decision based on that (and the fact that he's gonna have a family soon). With that said, if he does leave WWE and wrestle again, I wouldn't have an issue with it cos well the fan in me wants to see it. For how long, I'm not sure. I'd be fine with him having a year-long run and calling it a day after that, but once again it'd be up to him. I just hope his love for wrestling wouldn't cloud his judgment to the point where he really does do serious damage to himself. Also, it's a shame if he does wrestle, we still wouldn't get that match with Nakamura :(

A broken neck isn't just 'a broken bone'. It does cause neurological damage, Austin taking a bad bump after the broken neck could have him get paralyzed, that's why he never took a piledriver after the fact, including the Tombstone.

This is a very interesting subject. On one hand, I would love to see him wrestle all of the top guys in New Japan as well as guys like Jeff Cobb, Matt Riddle, TWFKA Pentagon etc. On the other hand, the last thing I want to see is him become pro wrestling's version of Junior Seau, Andre Watters or Dave Duerson. All three were former NFL players who suffered through many concussions as players, but their lives took tragic turns after they retired as all three committed suicide. The result was CTE. The last thing the WWE needs is for that to happen to Daniel.

He probably will but should he? no. Brain damage is serious.

And breaking news; the sun is hot.

I answered the question though... will he wrestle again? yes. Should he? no. Do I want him to? no. I don't want the guy to *Censored* himself up, so get off your high horse.

And in other news Water, Wet.

But in all seriousness Bryan has a wife and daughter now as well as a sister who has kids, I know its his dream to wrestle but he has to put hjs family's needs before his own when his life is on the line.

Honestly? I think that considering he's gotten the OK from many outside-WWE doctors, he should at least be given a shot at it again. While i'm sure WWE does worry for his health, I can't help but feel they also just don't want a repeat of his popularity highjacking their chosen stars.

Using Austin was a bad example to be fair. He had to retire because of that same neck injury a few years later, soooo.

Still don't think he should.

And if he'd retired when doctors told him to he wouldn't have had the run he had and who knows how the business would be today...

If multiple specialists give him the ok, I'd listen to them over the WWE doctor who once claimed that the risk of CTE was over exaggerated in American football.

This. He'll likely wrestle again, though he'll probably have to pit his love for wrestling against his love for his family.

If Bryan thinks he can, then he should. He and the doctors know better than we do.
