"WNS reader Sean Blake sent in word that after tonight's SmackDown Live event WWE announced to the live crowd that their next show in the state of Connecticut is a pay per view, and that pay per view is the return of Bad Blood.

It will be taking place on July 9th at the XL Center in Hartford, CT, the pay per view will be Raw exclusive, and this marks the first WWE pay per view to take place at the XL Center since No Way Out 2000.

The first Badd Blood pay-per-view took witnessed the very first Hell In A Cell match, which saw Shawn Michaels defeat The Undertaker. Kane also made his debut at this PPV.

In 2003 and 2004, Bad Blood returned as Raw exclusive PPV's."

Exciting, hope we find out the rest of the PPV calender soon. I know SD is doing another Backlash PPV soon, which is weird considering we just had one, but yet it just feels so right to have it right after Mania again. So hopefully they have another retro PPV to bring back in September now.

How nice. Can we please have a good show to go with the resurrected name?

Even you saying something is nice sounds conceited and angry.

I'd give up liking wrestling if I were you mate.

I'm just excited because every Bad Blood PPV has had a Hell in a Cell match.

Oh yeah, it's not like we have a PPV actually named Hell in a Cell or anything.

That's ages away yet, they could scrap it.

Would be nice if they give it a unique stage or else it still won't mean jack shit.

Hope they bring back the Blood dripping stage set to go with the name. I always loved the Bad Blood PPV's for that sole reason, I loved the stage set-up that went along with the PPV name.

The first Bad Blood, wasn't really named Bad Blood either, technically. It was a version of In Your House. It was called In Your House: Bad Blood Presented By D-Generation X, If I'm not mistaken. This doesn't matter in anyway, just throwing that out there for nostalgia purposes.

I feel like Bad Blood should only be a thing when they actually have a feud with really "bad blood" between the opponents. I kinda miss when PPVs were like that. The whole rotating schedule of the same events tends to take away the feeling that the shows were catered to what was actually going on. I think they should just have the big four, and the rest should change every single year to match the storylines...

I actually kinda agree with that. Atleast add surnames to the events. "Hell in a Cell: The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar IV"

It's cool when past names return but eh, it's just a generic PPV most likely. Only gimmick PPVs are "special" really, so Bad Blood is the same thing as Judgment Day, No Mercy, Backlash and whatever else.
