Last night, Jan Ross, the wife of WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, was involved in an accident while she was riding her Vespa to the gym and was struck by another vehicle. Jan, who was not wearing a helmet at the time, suffered multiple skull fractures and was rushed into immediate surgery. TMZ.com spoke with Ross and noted that Jan was in critical condition.

On behalf of everyone associated with PWInsider.com, I'd like to say we send Jim, Jan and their family our best wishes and prayers and we are hoping for the best.

Apparently she's not the only one who's been in a collision lately.

WWE head honcho Vince McMahon was involved in a minor car crash this morning in Connecticut … but he’s reportedly doing just fine afterward.

According to TMZ, “something went wrong” with McMahon’s Bentley as he was driving and it caused the crash. They also say another vehicle was involved, but it’s unclear in what way.

A source told the website that “everyone is ok” after the accident and Vince was seen walking. Photos of the alleged incident were posted on Reddit this morning and McMahon seemed to be fine.

We called the Stamford Police Department for confirmation and they promptly hung up the phone.

What is going on?

Update on McMahon:

In asking around about the Vince McMahon car accident today, sources relayed that it was a "minor accident with no injuries."

McMahon is 100% fine and is expected to attend tonight's WWE Smackdown taping in Uncasville, CT.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross noted on Twitter yesterday that his wife Jan was hit while riding her Vespa. Ross said she was suffering from multiple skull fractures and was undergoing surgery. He wrote, My wife Jan, my little angel, was hit while riding her Vespa & has multiple skull fractures. Shes in surgery now. We need a miracle.

Ross later told TMZ that Jan was hit while riding to the gym near their home in Oklahoma. JR told the website that Jan was not wearing her helmet and struck her head, causing the multiple skull fractures. She was rushed to the nearby hospital in critical condition. Ross called the situation touch and go and said hes hanging in there. It could be a tough day.

As noted, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross announced on Twitter early Tuesday morning that his wife Jan was seriously injured while riding her Vespa to the gym near their home in Oklahoma. JR said his wife was suffering from multiple skull fractures and was undergoing surgery, but they needed a miracle. He later told TMZ that Jan was not wearing her helmet and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Ross added that the situation was "touch and go."

TMZ reports that police in Norman, OK told them that Jan was driving at 9:33pm the night before when she was struck from behind by a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis, which was driven by a 17-year-old male. Both the Mercury and Jan's scooter caught fire but the male was not injured. Police also said the crash was under investigation.

In the video above, TMZ Sports caught up with Big Show and informed him of the accident. Show commented on how kind Jim and Jan have been to him over the years. Show also sent his well wishes and prayers to Jan, calling it very sad. Show said WWE has a strong, family-like community and he's sure everyone is supporting JR and Jan.

She's made it through the first 12-24 hours, so that bodes well hopefully. The brain swells in those first few hours which is usually when emergency intervention is required. I would imagine they'll keep her in a medically induced coma for a few days.
