They can use Edge in the hair vs hair match. His match with Shawn at Mania. His match with Eddie at WM. Multiple matches with Brock. His match with Undertaker at No Way Out. ECWDanSelby Posted January 17, 2017 Report Share Posted January 17, 2017 I think it's very likely they'll do a Showcase mode, as they had every intention of doing it for last year's offering, at least. Although saying that, a year is a long time, and another suggestion could be put on the table as a replacement for Showcase mode. Either way, others have mentioned it's not a lock that he'll even be in the game, which is absolutely worth remembering. They're two separate deals, but it most definitely opens the door to it. Wouldn't build your hopes up on that one. Still, it's just a case of basically creating a new attire for him. And it's beyond me how anyone could like that dire rendition of his theme they used for ECW! I get the ethos behind it, but man, poorly executed. I'm not really following how either of those are valid points. ECW Angle was in fact, the most recent Angle in a WWE ring. If they were going for an up to date Angle, that would be the last time that he set foot in a WWE ring. It doesn't really matter how short his stay was there...that was his updated character for 2006. If he went back to Raw or SD after that, he probably would have kept that gimmick. And the second point just seems odd to me. Angle himself was released for a fear of his health...not ECW Angle. Just the man. They were worried about the man. In any case, they should just have a bald Angle and an early Angle with hair. Any other iteration of Angle would just come down to attire and theme music, tbh.
