Marvel is dead; Been broken into too many pieces and handed off to too many people.

The only good parts of Marvel that remain are the Netflix shows, Deadpool, and Guardians. The last game they had that actually felt like it respected the brand was Avengers Alliance, and Disney killed that.

Even if this game plays like the previous ones, the lack of major characters is going to keep the numbers down. Sure...this gives them the option to add more obscure characters...but does that really fit the target demographic for these kinds of games? I think the people who play this type of fighting game tend to be arcade fans first and foremost...with just a bit of Marvel knowledge.

I agree. Taking away big names like Wolverine if this is indeed true, will only hurt the game. Casual fighting fans and fans of the series would expect the ones that have always been there. I think obscure characters are great but I'm a fan of Marvel characters. Despite that, I still want bigger names in first.

Yeah, sadly it'll just feel like a Disney store advertisement. Although saying that, what exactly does Capcom bring to the table in 2016 anyway? I'm not being sarcastic either, I'm genuinely struggling to think of any names off the top of my head that are semi-relevant? Maybe I'm just naive but to me, they're not exactly groundbreaking themselves.

The roster will pretty much just be

Female version of character that's been male for 60 years

Black version of character that's been white for 60 years

Black female version of character that's been a white male for 60 years

x15 + Squirrel Girl, cus thats the only character they care about these days.

Oh and a million _____Gwen's and Gwen_____'s, cus Gwen Stacy is so cool, ma'an. (Apparently)

It;s gonna be MCU. And as someone who has yet to actually check out the MCU and mains Deadpool and Skrull and loves Wolverine, this is just a giant load to me. Marvel/Disney needs to get over their beef with Fox. Thank Arceus, Spidey's safe now. Him getting axed would almost certainly kill the game for me.

As for Capcom, they have Street Fighter, Monster Hunter(though the MH doesn't want them in), and Megaman. I think Ace Attorney, DMC, and Dead Rising are pretty popular too. Morrigan's also popular even though her series is dead as dead can get. Overall though, they really ain't got much.

Personally, I'm hoping for Asura and RAAAAASHIIIIIIDOOOOOOOOOOO for Capcom. Also Juri, X, and another megaman character like maybe Bass EXE. Or Roll. Or Vent/Aile

MvC's tier list has imploded muahahahahahahaha! People have to play as guys other than Mag, Sentinel, Doom and Storm XD. On the real though I really wanted to see Iceman and Gambit, maybe even intro Silver Surfer in that engine 3 used. Oh well

Newest rumor is it's not "4" but a reboot of the series. They're going back to MvC roots meaning 2v2 with an assist character

And MCU characters aren't all that bad. Vision and Scarlet Witch on the roster would be the heat. I could see Scarlet being the new Mag.

The MCU characters just feel generic. I guess it would depend on if they're modeled from the movies themselves (around the actors)...or if they're the classic comic interpretations of the characters. I just don't see the actual film characters being enjoyable to play as. They all look like ordinary people in leather suits...

Besides, I'd rather see characters like Moon Knight or something.

Oh yeah, I highly doubt they'll use the MCU attires as default. That part of the rumor I'm sure was just alluding to the whole"X-men is out" thing. They'd just be going with the characters Marvel studio itself can use. I don't see them pulling a "Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game" in that regard. You might get some alt costumes , but nothing quite that dramatic

X was a helluva shocker to me. I thought Capcom hated his ass. How long have fans been asking for him?

Who was the cat at the end though? I was thinking Sigma at first but I have a feeling it's supposed to be a Marvel guy

Really happy to see X! I was expecting them to just have Zero again.

The one at the end was Ultron. A marvel villain. I hope they merge him with a Capcom villain. I think that'd be interesting
