If that is legit, the only downside I see is there is no Mexico map there. Mexico was much cooler to roam than Texas or wherever the game was set in.

It looks like it's set a little more north geographically than the first game. Tall Trees, Great Plain and Blackwater are at the bottom left of the map.

Good observation there. If that is the case I hope this means the great plains tribes are roaming the land. It could be like the zombies in Undead Nightmare where they are moving fast for you and you can't really camp out on the open plains for fear of being attacked.

Somebody's put both maps together so you can get an idea on the size of the game world.

Not bad. I mean, I kind of expected it to be bigger than the previous map, it'd probably have to be, but still very nice.

Also, seriously, its not goddamn Red Dead 3. Red Dead Redemption was the spiritual successor, NOT sequel, to Revolver.

That'd be like saying Dark Souls is Demons Souls 2, or that Demons Souls is the latest Kings Field game, that's not how it works.

People need to remember that bigger in the case of RDR wouldn't be better since it would seriously just be more empty desert.

It was a wild west game. That's kind of to be expected.

this would not be RDR3. first of all, Revolver had completely different characters than Redemption and was separate story. a sequel usually means that some or all characters and story continue on. and secondly, this new game is being reported as a prequel, a story or events that take place before the events of Redemption. so, a direct tie in to Redemption is still unknown. hell, maybe this new game will be a completely different story and will have nothing to do with anything that happened in Redemption.

Austin logic terrifies me. "who cares if people think the holocaust didn't happen, let them!" "who cares if people think the earth is flat, let them!" "who cares if people think 2 plus 2 is 353, let them!".

You guys getting so worked up over a tentative title is a little ridiculous. It IS the third Red Dead game, after all, so it's easy to just call it "Red Dead 3" for now.

Red Dead 3 sounds like a good title at this point. If Capcom was producing this game it would most likely be called "Red Dead Zero: Super Hyper Redemption 2 Arcade Ex Edition HD Remix".
