1. WCW Women's Championship

Even I didn't know this championship existed in real life. But it did! From 1996 to 1997. Shockingly, despite having the division shaped around Madusa, she never actually had a title reign in WCW.

2. WCW Television Championship '92-95

I love this design. The WCW TV Championship was held by a great many legends, including Booker T, Ric Flair, Sting, Ricky Steamboat, etc., so I didn't think it was fair that it keeps getting the shaft from 2K. I doubt this particular design would make it into a game anyway. Without further adieu... (UPDATE: I have corrected the red color on the sideplates to a darker shade of red that matches the center plate. As seen in the new screenshot.)

3. The REAL nWo Championship Belt

I'm sure you've all seen the in-game nWo championship belt. It's based on a "replica" belt produced by WWE, but the replica is not very accurate to begin with. The belt never looked like that. It looks plastic and fake. So, I decided to seek out a visual aid. The historic night that Hollywood Hogan spraypainted the WCW World Heavyweight Championship belt at Road Wild 1996. I came up with this. The spraypaint looks a little gray due to the lighting, but I'm pretty proud of it. Ignore Luger's name. I don't have Hogan, and needed to test it during an entrance.

4. WCW Television Championship 1995-2001 (custom)
I kept the plates the same. Only changed the wCw lettering to proper WCW logos. I had a rougher time trying to get the design to fit on the center plate than on most belts.

5. WCW World Heavyweight Championship (the Big Gold)
I wanted the same belt worn by Goldberg in 1998, The Giant in 1996, etc. I've done my research, and there is definitely a noticeable difference between the WCW and WWE WHC. Maybe not to the naked eye, but when you compare them side by side, it's very noticeable.

OLD Upload: (deleted)

NEW replacement:
(No nameplate, because it was a considerably different color from the belt)

6. WCW World Heavyweight Championship (Custom)
I just took the "WCW World Champion" plate from the early 90s Vader/Sting/Ron Simmons belt and added it to the strap. You can't see any difference on the CC, though.

7. WCW Women's Championship (Custom)
Inspired by the lovely new white and red WWE Women's Championship belt, I felt like getting back into create-a-championship. But I could figure out how to color the background red for that particular belt, so... it doesn't matter because other people took care of that. But! I realized that the only photos online of the '96-97 WCW Women's Championship are blurry and low quality. So I decided to try my hand at designing a brand new custom belt. I tried to keep it as realistic as possible, while also adding my own personal spin on it. I borrowed some elements from other WCW belts. The belt was clipping through Madusa's stomach horribly during her entrance (I had a similar issue with Ultimo Dragon and the TV Title belt), so I used Nattie instead.

This belt comes with a nameplate, but of course it can easily be removed.

I decided to re-do the side plates on the Custom WCW Women's Championship.

I don't like my Custom WCW World title anymore, but I don't think you can actually remove something from community creations, just replace it.

When I made the edit, I forgot to say so. Yeah, nWo Championship added. It's announced the way Michael Buffer announced it: the WCW nWo World Heavyweight Champion. "The WCW, nWo, heavyweight, champion, of the world..." I get a little nostalgic. Even though I hated the nWo's guts at the time.

They all look great. If you like trying old WCW belts, try the WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team belt. Yes, that existed. It was only around for eight days. Coincidentally, they were WCW's LAST eight days. They were held by Kid Romeo, Elix Skipper, Billy Kidman and Rey Mysterio. There are barely any good quality pics of it on the internet, so it could be a challenge

There aren't many championship belts to really make, in 2K16, but I finally decided to give the WCW TV title (1995-2001) a chance. I thought about doing different sideplates, but nah, it probably looks better with the real ones. But there's a catch! Although I'm going to use the same plates as real life, I'm going to change it from this...

to this

I'll update the thread when I'm done.

If I wanted, I could easily make the real deal, but... Damn I hate those "wCw" things. That's probably where WWE got it from for the invasion angle.

As for the Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship, you would think WWE would have something like that photographed for WWE.com or something. Such a shame that they let the WCW assets go to waste like that. I mean, I'm sure they're sitting around in the WWE warehouse, collecting dust. Also, I've done some editing on the shade of red for the '92-95 TV Title sideplates, so it should look better in 2K17 or whatever.

can you remove the red jewels from the WCW World Titles? I always hated those, I'm pretty sure they were only present on the WWE versions.

Have you thought of making the WCW Cruiser Tag titles or the unused Shapceship logo World Tag titles?

I haven't seen a good pic of either of those belts (it'd have to be good enough quality to paste into the game). As far as the red jewels, I don't remember whether they were on the WCW world title, but they were definitely less prominent. I don't really know a way to fix that, though.

^ Maybe. Too similar to the one in the game, I think.

But I want to replate my WCW championship with something more... WCW. I've found two decent center plates that I'm considering.

or this.

I guess I'll see how they look in the game before I decide. With the shine in belt photos, there's always going to be a shine, so it's going to look too white, or orange, too much shadow, or even a reflection...

Surprisingly, the crappiest-looking center plate on my computer turned out to be the best-looking WCW WHC that I've created in the game. I compared 4 or 5 different belts. Granted, it looks close to perfect with the 1990s vintage filter. But in the late 90s arenas, it's a little too white-ish for my liking. (I might be overreacting. Looks pretty good now, tbh) The replica belt from WWE.com (not pictured) looks even whiter, much to my surprise. A good thing about this belt is, no orange sparkles during entrances. And authentic sideplates. For some reason, the one with the two guys grappling is nowhere to be found in the "relief" section of create-a-championship.

^ DrGorillaNuts's Hulk Hogan, btw... But the attire is all me. And this is actually the PPV where he won the title, a bit of an anachronism in this screenshot, but close enough. Bash at the Beach 1994 there, 90s filter.

Hnnnggg....

I really need to get off my butt and download your stuff in one sitting, make myself a great WCW Universe brand. That WCW World Title looks great. Will you be uploading your Hogan?

I'm surprised that the jewels seem to have always been present, even back on the original WCW World Title. They just seem to be MUCH MORE prominant in the WWE redesign (I think larger red jewels were used?), to the point where they went from me not really noticing them, to them pissing me off.

I find HazardF5 on YouTube to have a great channell for comparing belt details. Might be able to grab some screen shots from HD video for future belts?

The WCW World Heavyweight Championship took a lot of trial and error to get the colors, quality, and other details just right. I found some beautiful pics of a replica belt, high quality, high resolution, full of detail... but when I got it into the game, it looked pale and white. It was like a cream color. I kept darkening the pics over and over again. It would look really dark on my computer, but then I'd get into the game, and it looked too bright, like rose gold or something.

I finally ended up with the result in the OP. I believe I've finally perfected this belt. Or at least, as much as reasonable in the game. I decided against the nameplate because of the color, and the fact that the real WCW championship belt is larger than the WWE Big Gold, and therefore the nameplate doesn't fit, even in the game. I will look into adding the nameplate in 2K17, but I'm at the point where now I'm uploading my final edits for 2K16.
