Raccoon Posted September 27, 2015 Report Share Posted September 27, 2015 Yo. Well, i'll try to be quick... i believe that 2K16 would be the greatest wrestling game of all times.. If we ignore the roster (I saw many people complaining about it and even in my case, i expected something bigger than that), We got many feature returns such as GM mode, My Career mode, Create a belt feature, pre-set entrances(not sure yet) and many many more things that will probably make this game awesome.. Well, i always thought about something like that.. a WWE game that got every feature and now my dream came true ... I used to play SVR 2008 and other games just about the my career and gm modes and shit.. now imagine all those features in one game and with some awesome graphics.. (There is another one case that maybe all these awesome things are just trailers and shit and it'll be even worse than 2K15 this year and im not talking about not having what they said.. Im talking about failing on what they were trying to make) (The roster is also not a big deal since we can make caws and every year our creators do better job because every year there is more features to caws on WWE games ) State your opinion, peace. It kind of depends on what you consider to be the current Best Wrestling Game of All Time. Fire Pro Wrestling Returns? Wrestlemania 2000? No Mercy? Here Comes the Pain? I don't expect 2016 to beat the first three. If they've nailed everything (including CAW mode), if there is something similar to the Interference Options when playing as a Manager, and if all the new Career features extend into Universe..... Then I think they might beat Here Comes the Pain and be on the same level as FPWR, W2000, and No Mercy...but that is a big if. Particularly since, as Astro Zombie said, everything we've seen so far has been provided by 2K themselves. They aren't going to show you the games short comings, they're trying to sell it. Wait until people who shelled out the $60 and don't collect a pay check from 2K get a chance to look into it. That is when the truth will come out. From the first SVR, Wrestlemania 21 until now.. if we take it from SVR 2010 until 2K15, they always make worse games than the previous one(with some exceptions) .. from all those years the best one in my opinion was WWE'13, 2K14 and 15 were worse than that.. I expect it will probably be better than those games, but those games got worse over time so it's not much of an accomplishment. Is it going to be the best of the last 10 years? Probably. We cannot know until we play it, don't get me wrong I love the improvements I see in the videos and I know it'll be a good game heck maybe it'll be a great game but every game has its flaws especially if it's a sports game...we all know that. It'll probably be better than them and i was talking about at least the last 10 years ofcourse.. None of you is going to play day of reckoning or RAW 2 or Shut your mouth or SVR 2004 or WRESTLEMANIA 21 or FIRE PRO WRESTLING RETURNS while he got a game like 2K16 and the others.. LOL... And that's physical, you can't prefer this old crap than the new ones ... and im not like uhhh a 10 years old kid that just learned about video games, I'm 20.. The first game i even played was shut your mouth when it got released.. then i bought older games and year by year almost every newer WWE game.... I use to play the old games too just to remember the old days but i still prefer the new ones because it's all about generation.. The old ones were awesome for their years, not for now guys.. It's not like GTA(Nowadays you'll find many guys that prefer GTA SA and GTA IV than GTA V.. including me) . People seem to take "Wrestling" as a genre and completley ignore the gameplay aspects to it. "Arcade" and "Simulation" games are two completley different things. In my own personal opinion the best games were Here Comes The Pain, RAW 2 (Gameplay was kinda meh but the moves were great, like perfect), and Day of Reckoning 2. This game has a long awaited hair dying feature to make better more accurate CAWS, the face morphing with textures, more real to life pinning mechanics like the ref being a buttface and not noticing your foot on the ropes (whether you're trying to get out of the pin or the one pinning and cheating), a seemingly better submission system, some of the BEST looking models including Dean Ambrose and Natalya, and a bunch of characters that are fan favorites such as Jake Roberts and Vader. No Mercy is perfectly playable today because even now it still plays better in some ways than the WWE 2K series. I could quite happily play Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 right now. That game was SO good. I don't think it's fair to say that people "can't" like older games because No Mercy still has a decent following. No one's going to go back and play the older SmackDown games, and hell no one played RAW 2 or WrestleMania 21 when they came out anyway, but I think your complete dismissal of older wrestling games is a bit odd. Both games are more playable than wwe '12 or SvR 08, it doesn't matter how old they are.As far as 2K16 is concerned, I don't think they're going to announce any new game mode, unfortunately.
