Shindol Posted June 26, 2015 Report Share Posted June 26, 2015 We're half way through the year and there's been a number of GOTY contenders already in my opinion. I thought it'd be good to discuss those games, what our GOTY is at the half way point and what unreleased games we think may destroy our contenders so far. I'd have to say the game that has my vote at this moment is Bloodborne. I've never played a 'Souls' game before and Bloodborne was an impulse buy. I had no intention beforehand of getting this game because it just didn't seem like my kinda thing but shit, was I wrong. I loved everything this game had to offer from the combat, level design and vague story telling. You really had to concentrate to follow the story and make any sense of it at the end. Just an amazing game. Honourable mentions go to The Witcher 3, Dying Light and Arkham Knight. Bloodborne is still the game to beat for me though. As for all the games that are still to be released before the end of the year, the two I think that may take Bloodborne's crown are Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain and Fallout 4. I don't think there's anything else coming out that's gonna rival those for me but you just never know. Mad Max looks like it's gonna be a blast and Ubisoft might get their shit together with Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
