The New Era Begins!

Thursday 1st January 2015

IMPACT WRESTLING kicks off with a new intro video and theme song before being introduced by the new commentary team of Taz, Mike Tenay & Josh Matthews. As they are welcoming everyone to the all new IMPACT WRESTLING the music of Ethan Carter III hits the arena as he makes his way out to the ring accompanied by Tyrus.

Ethan Carter III: Ladies & Gentlemen and i use that term loosely, welcome to the new era of IMPACT WRESTLING, aren't you all excited? I know I am, especially because please rise to your feet and join me in welcoming back the lady who made IMPACT WRESTLING what it is, my aunt, Dixie Carter.

Dixie then makes her way to the ring to be welcomed by her nephew, Ethan Carter III and shaking the hand of his bodyguard, Tyrus.

Dixie Carter: Did y'all miss me? I know I didn't miss you. However I best get down to business, now I'm out here to tell y'all that IMPACT WRESTLING has a new owner, yes I said new owner. When push came to shove, the offer that I received could not be refused... oh and the new owner of IMPACT WRESTLING, well lets just say they'll reveal who they are later in the night.

 

 

Before his match with Jeff Hardy a short promo is aired from Bram.

Bram: How thick are you Jeff, i've already beaten you once when you were some clown. I didn't get the name The King of Hardcore by luck I kicked the arse of those has been's Devon & Tommy Dreamer, now you're next.

Singles Match

Bram Vs. Jeff Hardy

To kick off the new era of IMPACT WRESTLING, Bram is squaring off against a former IMPACT WRESTLING World Heavyweight Champion in Jeff Hardy. The match started off well for Jeff Hardy who took the fight to Bram both in and outside the ring, however the brute force of Bram was never held back as he hit Jeff hard with lefts and rights before finishing the match with an Impaler DDT before covering and getting the three count. Following the match however Bram decided it wasn't enough and went on to continue to attack Jeff Hardy with a steel chair from ringside. Matt Hardy then made his way out to the ring to save his brother from any permanent damage.

 

Matt Hardy: Bram you want to go around ending people's careers, that not fine on my watch and understand this Hardy's never say die because we are stronger than death, so me and you next week, how about it?

Bram: Deal!

 

Jeremy Borash is backstage with Gail Kim to get her thoughts on the upcoming Knockouts Battle Royal.

Jeremy Borash: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time is non other than the 4 time Knockouts Champion, Gail Kim. Now Gail tonight we crown a new champion in the Knockouts Battle Royal, what is your plan going into this match with HAVOK the favourite to win this match?

Gail Kim: You say HAVOK is the favourite? I don't agree with that, as you have myself, Angelina Love and Madison Rayne, three multiple time Knockouts Champions in this match and I actually was the first lady to hold the championship after winning a gauntlet match so surly i'm the favourite to win?

 

IMPACT WRESTLING Knockout's Championship Battle Royal

Angelina Love Vs. Brooke Vs. Gail Kim Vs. HAVOK Vs. Madison Rayne Vs. Taryn Terrell

This match wasn't the longest match as all women started in the ring and immediately everyone targeted HAVOK as the first elimination. Taryn Terrell was second, shortly followed by Brooke. This left Madison Rayne, Angelina Love & Gail Kim as the final three. The former Beautiful People, Madison & Angelina decided to team up to take out Gail Kim however Kim was able to turn the tables and take out Angelina Love but as she does Madison is soon on the case and throws Gail Kim out of the ring to become a six time Knockouts Champion.

 

Rockstar Spud: Ethan Carter the Third, don't think for one bloody second i've forgotten about you. Tonight I get an opportunity to become the X-Division Champion, but after I'm done celebrating you sir are going to get taught a lesson in respect.

IMPACT WRESTLING X-Division Championship Ultimate X Match

Kenny King Vs. Low Ki Vs. Mark Andrews Vs. Rockstar Spud Vs. The Great Sanada Vs. Tigre Uno

Rockstar Spud and Mark Andrews teamed together in this match to take out Kenny King & Low Ki while The Great Sanada and Tigre Uno battled around the ring. Sanada used his mist multiple times in the match first spraying it in the eyes of Tigre Uno and then Kenny King. Mark Andrews changed the whole match by hitting a Shooting Star Press outside of the ring to Kenny King, Tigre Uno, Sanada & Low Ki, but while this was happening Rockstar Spud was able to climb up the structure and across the cables to claim the TNA X-Division Championship. Following the match however Ethan Carter III made his way out onto the ramp with a microphone in hand.

 

Ethan Carter III: Spud, I heard you running your mouth about me, well i've got some good news and some bad news for you. The good news is I'm the new owner of IMPACT WRESTLING, the bad news, well you're about to defend the X-Division Championship against this guy...

Alberton El Patron then makes his way out towards the ring shaking hands with Ethan Carter III on his way.

TNA X-Division Championship Match
Alberton El Patron Vs. Rockstar Spud

After wrestling in the grueling Ultimate X match, Rockstar Spud attempted to beat Alberto quickly running at him with kicks and punches however, Alberto El Patron is able to reverse one of the punches and locks in his famous Cross Armbar which sees Spud tap out in seconds and to crown a second New X-Division Champion in the night.

 

Jeremy Borash is backstage with Kurt Angle who has strong words for Ethan Carter III.

Jeremy Borash: Kurt can I get your thoughts on Ethan Carter III announcing himself as the new owner of IMPACT WRESTLING?

Kurt Angle: My thoughts? Are you kidding me, I had a feeling something like this was going to happen, first Dixie and now Ethan in charge of IMPACT WRESTLING, somethings never change the name of Carter being above this house, well it looks like that's one of them. But Ethan understand you've got a huge target on your back now that you're running the show.

Rockstar Spud then bursts into the interview area.

Rockstar Spud: Are you bloody kidding me, Ethan this is not over and I will regain the X-Division Championship from your new friend.

 

Main Event

Austin Aries, Bobby Roode & Eric Young Vs. MVP, Jessie Godderz & Robbie E

Austin Aries & Robbie E kicked off this match which saw a technical masterclass by Aries on Robbie E. Robbie then decided he had enough and tagged in MVP who immediately came in and changed the match for his team singling out Eric Young as the weak link of the opposition, attacking him continuously and cornering him in their corner, quickly switching with quick tags in and out of the match. But Bobby Roode was the game changer hitting three Roode Bomb's in succession on MVP, Jessie Godderz and then Robbie E. Austin Aries & Eric Young then battled the BroMans outside of the ring before Roode was able to lock on a Crossface to make MVP tap.

Ethan Carter III, Alberto El Patron & Tyrus then come out on the ramp as if to challenge Aries, Roode & Young but this was only a distraction as Michael Bennett and The Young Bucks were able to attack the trio as the show came to a close with a shot of Ethan Carter III laughing at his plan.

Before giving the commentary team a chance to talk, Ethan Carter III, Tyrus, Alberto El Patron, Michael Bennett and The Young Bucks made their way out to the ring with the X-Division Championship draped over Alberto El Patron's shoulder.

 

Ethan Carter III: Ladies & Gentlemen, the era of Aunt D is over, you are all now under my control. So tonight, Rockstar Spud you will face Tyrus and Alberto El Patron in a two on one handicap match. Bobby Roode, Austin Aries & Eric Young, lets see how you three last as you battle against MVP in a beat the clock challenge. Oh and one last match, The Young Bucks will face The Wolves because who doesn't wanna see that. Oh i'm forgetting about someone, Michael Bennett, you're going up against that has been, Kurt Angle.

 

Rockstar Spud is backstage with Jeremy Borash who asked him for his thoughts on the challenge ahead of him.

Rockstar Spud: Typical behavior of a spoiled brat. Ethan we can tell you grew up with a silver spoon in your mouth, well you better understand i'm the biggest underdog and throwing me in at the deep end against Tyrus and Alberto El Patron will only prove why i deserve to be the X-Division Champion.

 

Beat The Clock Challenge Match

Austin Aries vs. Magnus

In a battle of former Heavyweight Champions, Austin Aries looks to set the challenge right from the off targeting Magnus with an array of blows to the head such as forearms and punches, but Magnus was able to turn this around and hit Aries with a solid big boot. However Aries was able to kick out of the pinfall attempt before getting his stride back and hitting a picture perfect dropkick to Magnus in the corner which was followed up by a brainbuster and the pinfall to set a time of 10:37 for the competition to beat.

 

Kurt Angle is backstage in his locker room preparing for his match with Michael Bennett, however Mr. Anderson burst through the door to have a word with the Olympic Gold Medalist.

Mr. Anderson: Kurt you can't go through with this, you understand that Ethan is only set out to make us all look like fools right?

Kurt Angle: I understand Ken, but Ethan he's another story, if he wants to bring some reinforcement into IMPACT then he must only face the consequences when it all comes crumbling down around him. Plus it's good to have new competition once in a while.

 

Beat The Clock Challenge Match (Time To Beat - 10:37)

Bobby Roode vs. Robbie E

Bobby Roode attacks straight from the bell to get this match over with quickly however Robbie E runs out of the ring towards Angelina Love for company while the referee counts to ten. Robbie E gets back in and out the ring as the referee reaches nine to start the count again, this only angers Bobby Roode who rolls out of the ring to chase after Robbie E. As Robbie E ends back in the ring Bobby Roode he doesn't last long before getting knocked out by the Roode Bomb for the pinfall and setting a time of 8:21.

 

Bram: Ladies and Gentlemen you are looking at the new king of hardcore, now Matt Hardy you might have stopped me from ending the pathetic career of your brother Jeff, but tonight is your turn, and to make things interesting, the new boss in town Ethan Carter III has made this a hardcore match and whether it is the old lady's fear, or the many ghostly traditions of this place, or the crucifix itself, I do not know, but I am not feeling nearly as easy in my mind as usual.

Hardcore Match

Bram vs. Matt Hardy

Bram and Matt Hardy bought weapons of their choice to the ring for this all out brawl. Matt Hardy used his experience edge to knock Bram down a peg or two hitting the side effect twice to no effect (pun intended), but Bram was able to come back into the match grabbing a steel chair from ringside and smashing it over the back of Matt Hardy before hitting an Impaler DDT onto the chair and covering for a three count. Bram then continued to beat up Matt Hardy with the chair only for Jeff Hardy to make the save this time with Bram sliding out of the ring laughing maniacally.

 

Michael Bennett: Kurt Angle, everyone knows who you are and everyone knows you should just hang up your boots and tonight you get taken to school as the new school arrives and walk out of the door tonight with your head hanging in shame as i pin you, one, two, three.

Singles Match
Kurt Angle vs. Michael Bennett

Kurt Angle gave Michael Bennett no chance in this match because as soon as Bennett stepped into the ring he was hit with an Angle Slam and Kurt then locked in the Ankle Lock which made Bennett tap out immediately.

 

Robbie E: Dude did you see that match, Bobby Roode cheated to victory, he didn't give me a chance to warm up, but that's ok. Roode i challenge you to a rematch next week because we all know who's winning this beat the clock challenge. So what do you say Roode?

 

Handicap Match

Alberto El Patron & Tyrus vs. Rockstar Spud

Tyrus started this match completely dominating Rockstar Spud and making a mockery of him before tagging in Alberto El Patron who attempted to lock in the Armbar but Spud was able to break out of the hold and began fighting back against the X-Division Champion, but Tyrus was too much for him throwing Spud out of the ring who wasn't able to get back in before the ten count.

 

Nick Jackson: What a steal by EC3 bringing us back.

Matt Jackson; You're damn right brother and tonight we face those Wolves.

Nick Jackson: I remember that story of the boy who cried wolf, didn't he end up dying.

Matt Jackson; This is different Nick, these aren't actual Wolves, but two guys attempting to emulate The British Bulldogs.

Nick Jackson: Well i'm sure Dynamite is laughing at these two fools who aren't worth our time, so sorry Ethan but the card is always subject to change.

Beat The Clock Challenge Match (Time To Beat - 8:21)

Eric Young vs. Jessie Godderz

Jessie used this match as an exhibition to showcase his strength as he beat down Eric Young multiple times with strong style clotheslines and lariats but Young was able to fight back and attempt to get Jessie in a piledriver, however Jessie broke out of this and then hit Eric Young with a gorilla press slam before picking him up and hitting a Strongman Slam and covering him for the pinfall. Eric Young failed in his attempt at beating the challenger but Jessie's time was 9:14 so he also didn't beat the clock.

 

MVP: So Ethan Carter The Third decides upon himself to book a beat the clock challenge and what is it for? This guy has been in power for two minutes and it's already gone to his head. Ethan understand this tonight i'm going to beat the clock and i can only figure it is to prove who on earth is better than MVP, well no one so you may as well hand me the Heavyweight Championship tonight.

 

Beat The Clock Challenge Match (Time To Beat - 8:21)

MVP vs. Ethan Carter III

EC3 told MVP to lie down so he can cover him for the three count, but MVP didn't play ball and began fighting against MVP. But this went against MVP as Alberto El Patron, Tyrus, Michael Bennett & The Young Bucks made their way out to the ring to distract MVP who got rolled up by EC3 as the referee was made to count to three quickly. MVP wasn't happy with this decision and began fighting against EC3 but the group he assembled made their way into the ring to beat up MVP. This happened for a short while before, The Wolves, Kurt Angle, Bobby Roode, Eric Young & Austin Aries made their way to to the ring to make the save.

 

Ethan Carter III: You all think you've won, well not tonight, MVP if you just did what i told you to do everything would have been fine, but now i've got to end your career just like Kurt Angle. So next week it will be MVP & Kurt Angle vs Ethan Carter III & Michael Bennett and if you guys lose you must leave Impact Wrestling for good.
