I was wondering if anyone could help me. I had this idea because I can't stand looking at the poor quality caws against the in-game superstars but I also really want the current roster in the game. So I was thinking. maybe just changing a couple of in-game wrestlers moves from the game to some of the current roster's moves and just "Pretending" that their in the game.

So what I need help with is choosing those wrestlers to change movesets out with current. What ones do you think would be similar. Weather it be look, moves or gimmick. Just curious if someone could pick someone better suited then me.  It sucks that you can't change names and stuff...

PS. I tried making the current roster but they all look terrible.

If you want an updated-roster save, go to GameFAQs and look for the one by Tejas Kudva. It may be about a year out-of-date, but it sure as heck is a lot more recent than the game's default (everything unlocked) roster. There's another one with a couple of CAWs (mainly the Shield and a couple of custom guys), which was released in December of last year.

I'm on ps2, probably should have mentioned that. Plus, never dealt with others saves so don't sure how you even go about doing it. I have no jtag system.

For PS2, I know there was a device you could use to directly import other gamesaves for use with your game. I believe it was called the Max Drive or something similar. You could Google it; I believe that they would still have something of this nature available for purchase online somewhere.
