While many of the protesters were peaceful, more than 15 gunshots were heard as businesses throughout the city were looted or set ablaze. The violence marred the wishes of Brown's parents, who have been pleading for peace. "This is crazy. I mean, this doesn't do anything," one resident told CNN. She worried about how her city would pick up the pieces. "They're not going to rebuild. It's just going to be a ghost town pretty soon." The media should be blamed for this to be honest, they can't report anything without making it about race. To be honest I don't think Brown and the officer had any beef in regards to race, it was just a heated exchange between a cop and a perp that got violent, as happens often. And in other news, black cop apparently kills white, unarmed 20-year old in Utah, but no one bats an eye. A rookie officer in NYC accidentally killed a guy because he didn't follow protocols, but barely any mention of that. Propaganda is a powerful, powerful tool. Under a normal, non propaganda situation they would have waited for morning during the day so they would have more of a controlled environment. But no...we have to have the lighting affects of cars on fire and give the looters easier access to destroying property and hurting someone in a dark alley at night where no one can see. Easier to make a better "show" because ya'll know most of America was waiting on the edge of their seats for this like the next episode of the walking dead! What a blatant joke. ? The guy stole from a store and assaulted a clerk on camera, and then tried to grab a gun from the officer and attempted to kill him, struggled, failed, attempted to charge at the officer, and got killed. Gets national controversy because it's a white officer shooting a non-white person. (As said by M3J here, if this wasn't the case, then nobody would care) And then the riots... appalling. Really, what is going up to a police officers face and yelling "hands up don't shoot" gonna accomplish? If you really want to make a difference in life educate yourself, work hard to get ahead, and treat people with respect and be a good influence. You can't get what you want in life by screaming and throwing a tantrum, that's something you usually figure out sometime before turning five. The kid robbed a store and tried to kill people, he shouldn't have been shot as many times as he did and he (officer) should've been done for it (fine or something) but don't *censored*ing riot man. It's an embarrassment to America quite frankly and makes us look like a 3rd world dump. There is Ebola still running amok in Africa, Russia messing with it's European neighbors, and war against ISIS terrorist, and we are focused on a thug that brought upon his own demise? Hell, I don't even know if there is peace in the middle East or not, last I checked things in Israel were batshit crazy, but I would never know from watching American news media.
