Luke using Rey's sabre? Interesting. I'm convinced the reveal is going to be he's her father.

Yeah you and the rest of the world. Also Reys sabre is his sabre and it might just be for that Asian poster just to have the contrast of the red sabre.

Too obvious. Shes a Kenobi.

maybe she was created by the force

Like Anakin? I could see that happening.

Yep, that's what I'm thinking. I find it hard to believe Obi Wan had any kids, especially because he was loyal to the Jedi Order, and similar for Luke. Vader having kids worked because Vader didn't listen to anyone, and had a relationship with Padme when he should not have. He did not follow the values of the Jedi. And Snoke is basically a meme.

Battlefront 2 campaign spoilers for those interested;

At the end the two main characters Iden Versio and Del Meeko end up together. In the decades later epilogue mission you play as Kylo Ren who is looking for the map to Luke. An aged Del Meeko has been captured by First Order informants and Kylo extracts the info that Lor San Tekka (Max Von Sydows character in the Force Awakens opening scene) has half of the map. Del Meeko also pleads with Kylo and Commander Hask (his and Idens former imperial turned First Order friend) not to harm their daughter. There is a lot of talk about fatherhood and their daughter in that mission without actually name dropping the kid, heavily hinting that it could be Rey. Seems like quite a big theory after some digging on the net, but it also could be a major red herring. Unless Iden Versio is going to be in The Last Jedi would Disney surely allow that huge reveal to have its roots in a video game? I cant see this being the case if those characters dont appear in the movies in anyway. Not all movie goers will play the game so it seems a little frivolous to me.

The game campaign is canon btw.

What if the mysterious daughter is the Leia to Rey's Luke? Probably not related, but maybe the daughter could be the last or possible last Force user left.

Just remembered that Benicio Del Torro is in the movie and read long ago that he has a pretty big role but so then why hasn't he appeared in the trailers or major marketing stuff?

To keep his look a mystery? I had a theory but it's nonsense theory and makes no sense.

His look is already revealed. An official image of the character was released months ago and Rian Johnson confirmed that the character is being called DJ and that he's a former associate of Maz. Finn and the new girl go to meet him as he's a big role between the New Order vs The Resistance.

Nothing new since then. So I'm assuming he's probably just a cameo

Oh God, not the sodding midichlorians again. They've been busy little baskets haven't they?

Nah she's got to be Luke's, there's a lot of his story missing from the end of Jedi till now - he could easily have had children in that time, why did he go into exile? Did he cause the loss of his wife maybe?

Obi Wan is too straight to the Jedi way to have fallen in love, he was pretty much by the book (aside from defying the council a couple of times)

But then that's why we're looking forward to the film.

I thought he went into exile because he took Kylo under his wing, therefore being responsible for his dark side turn and the loss of life at the academy

And I thought there was digital media still in canon that gave Obi a love interest. One of the cartoon series I think

Luke went into exile because he was responsible for Kylos training and therefor heel turn, so Luke failed to bring balance to the force and it was HIS nephew that caused all the death and destruction.

I dont buy that Obi Wan is too straight laced of a Jedi to have children. He went about his own shit during the Clone Wars show. And its not canon, but he had a lover in the extended universe I believe? No reason he cant do that now.

I just think if Obi-Wan has a had kids it's going to require a ton of expository dialogue. Because nothing in the films suggested he had a family, and everything in the films suggests Jedi are meant to be celibate. This is of course clarified on in the EU and isn't actually true, but 95% of the audience don't have any experience with any EU material. So you'll have to devote this significant portion of your movie to explain that not only did Obi-Wan have a romantic relationship with some off screen woman we've never met, but also they had off screen children we've never met, one of those falling for a romantic, off a screen love interesr we never met. This off screen couple we've never met are ultimately Rey's parents. You'd halt the narrative in it's tracks to tell 50 years of history. It'd just be poor storytelling.
