Poe Øhlin Posted July 31, 2014 Report Share Posted July 31, 2014 Courtesy of SEScoops The Irish Mirror newspaper ran an article today speculating that WWE Superstar Sheamus will be playing Darth Vader in the new “Star Wars: Episode VII” movie that is currently in production. Sheamus, who is currently in Ireland, where scenes for the movie are being shot, has appeared as Darth Vader for various Star Wars promotional tours in the past. Sheamus is not currently listed as a cast member at IMDB.com, however, there’s also nobody listed as playing the Darth Vader character. In response to the Irish Mirror report, Sheamus tweeted: "I cannot confirm that I won't not be reprising role of Darth Vader in #StarWars ... Crowley Posted July 31, 2014 Report Share Posted July 31, 2014 I doubt Darth Vader will be in the movie, but Sheamus would be a decent choice to wear the suit. He's about the same size as David Prowse, the original Darth Vader. For those of you wondering why Darth Vader would be in Episode VII when he died in Return of The Jedi, his appearance would probably be in the form of a flashback or a force ghost, a la Luke's encounter with him in the cave on Dagobah.
