Do you use just a single superstar, or multiple? Do you play all matches or some that appeal to you? Do you spend time setting up a Universe Mode, or just let it do it's own thing, and play it as it is? I am looking for a new way to enjoy Universe Mode, and just wanted to see how others do it. Morningstar. Posted March 24, 2014 Report Share Posted March 24, 2014 I've played many different types of Universes before. Current RAW/SD Universe, NXT Universe, ECW Universe, and even ROH Universe. My favorite type though was a nice idea that I came up with, that was NXT but not with the current guys... I took all the younger versions of all the wrestlers on the roster, mostly Retro ones, and mixed them all up together. So basically like an All-Stars NXT... I had HHH Retro, Cena Retro, Punk Retro, Taker Retro, Flair Retro, Big Show Retro, Rock Retro, the younger versions of Hogan, Hart, Savage, and many more. It was truly great and the possibilities were endless. I don't know why I reset it though. I would go back to it if I had the time but I'm too lazy to set it all up again, lol. Regarding if I play as a single superstar or if I play all the matches or some of them... I used to play just as my CaW and climb the ranks with him back in my first current RAW/SD Universe Mode, but it got boring after a while, mainly because it was all the same, same moves, same entrance, same everything. That's why I now play most of the matches that I know I'll get cutscenes from, or if there is a PPV I pretty much always play both world title matches and occassionally a secondary title match or a rivalry match if they seem appealing enough. prospect13 Posted March 25, 2014 Report Share Posted March 25, 2014 Current universe has ROH on Mondays, CHIKARA on Wednesdays, DGUSA on Thursdays, PWG on Fridays, and Indy Showcase (multi-promotional minor show) on Saturdays. Each show has its own PPVs, but I have them co-promote from time to time. Thinking of adding NXT on Tuesdays, if only because I have most of the pieces already in game, but if I do it will be off on its own, and not crossing promotions like the others. Fatal_T Posted March 26, 2014 Report Share Posted March 26, 2014 I started out with an Attitude Era based Universe, but tired of it then tried a current day Universe and tired of that pretty quickly. I've since gone for an all-CAW Universe, all original characters (well mostly, there are a few homages to my favorites from years past). It's gone through a couple of incarnations as I grew the roster and tinkered with my shows and arenas, but I think I've found a winning combination at last and plan to enjoy the heck out of it. Muur Posted March 26, 2014 Report Share Posted March 26, 2014 When I played the games in the past (11, 12, 13) I would play the matches of a few guys and ones that looked interesting. Mainly the ones of my Caw, AJ Lee and then World Title matches. Although I would skip near enough every match on RAW/Raw PPV title matches.
