Universe Mode problem

XXX.

Recommended Posts

So, last year I know there were a lot of tips on how to get a better universe mode. I've gotten to the point where I'm fed up with getting the same few cut scenes. A normal rivalry goes like this for me...

Let's say Punk is © and he's feuding with Cena.

  • Punk vs Cena
  • *News: Punk and Cena are scheduled to face each other for the title soon*
  • Swagger vs Cena
  • Punk attacks Cena before match.
  • Punk vs Cena
  • Cena storms the ring and they brawl before the match starts
  • Cena vs Punk
  • Punk pretends to shake hands but attacks Cena.
  • PPV happens.
  • Next month
  • One of them interrupts each other during their match.
  • Stops one of them from attacking someone
  • So on and so forth.

Does anyone have advice on how to have more cutscenes?

I have 2 main shows.

Raw and Smackdown.

Raw has 36 stars

SD has 32

I have 8 tag teams.

My question(s) is this,

How can I get more cutscenes? How can I stop the 2 rivals from facing each other EVERY week? How can I just make it more fun to play?

Any advice will help.

Here is my advice: Don't use Rivalry Manager at all. It's just broken. You'll get a lot more cutscenes without it, even in minor shows. Turn it off, play around with the allies and enemies for each superstar and you'll see the results. You may get random shit occassionally, but it's better than having the same cutscenes over and over and over again.

Exactly like he said.

Now Rivalry Manager is an awesome idea. Poorly executed. There are times when I'm having the same story, same scenes, same everything in like 4 different rivalries at the same time.

Turn it off, yeah you will get some random stuff every now and then, but you will definitely get way more cut scenes and new ones too every now and then.

I'm hoping that next year we could actually get to choose what kind of storyline we want for each rivalry and say each storyline has like 20 different scene exclusive to it + character specific scene if said character is involved in the rivalry + scenes that are common in storylines (getting attacked from behind, cutting a promo on the mic, staredown, etc...)

"I don't think so. As I've said before, Rilvalry Manager was a good idea, but it wasn't executed properly."

A lot of things in WWE 2K14 weren't executed properly. With all of the freezing issues (2K14 has frozen more than '13 or '12 for me), I really couldn't care less what they do for WWE 2K15. I have NO interest in another WWE. I've been buying WWE games since WrestkeMania for the Nintendo...this is the first WWE game that I recall actually hating.

And don't forget removing Tron making, removing a lot of preset entrances and of course the custom entance themes that worked in WWE '13 not playing in this game...I can't imagine paying for another WWE game just to be let down again.

My best advice to you would be don't preorder, don't buy at launch and wait for everyone else to report the positive and negatives and judge from that. Don't forget 2k14 is a thq game finished by 2k, the next one is all theirs :)

2k14 isn't a bad game. It has it's flaws but overall it was a decent installment to the series. Like clown said, don't preorder. Wait to hear judgements. I always pre order because I enjoy the games regardless 9/10 times.
