I really don't think that it's hopeless. I feel like they really are playing the long game. I do agree with you that Summerslam was the right time, and I don't like the way it's been handled overall. I do wanna wait thought until it's all resolved though before I give a final judgment. I feel like if WWE is doing it the way I think they are, it could still work out. If it was someone like RVD...I could see them just as easily losing the match...(because Rob isn't a spotlight hog)...but I don't see Rey returning from such a long absence and losing his first match back. Who says there's a decrease in ratings during his segments? If that's based off WWE, they could be lying. The bad SummerSlam buyrate shouldn't be blamed solely on him, everyone involved deserves blame. Any proof VKM conference call happened or that he wasn't bullshitting? I dunno, just hard to believe given the reaction he gets from the crowd almost every time he appears. Or, maybe they're milking him as much as possible.
