"Today (June 29th) an update has been released to the media in regards to what is expected to happen after the end of this month.

All Japan has been in negotiations with Keiji Mutoh since May in regards to working towards a common goal. Though it appears that Keiji Mutoh’s own personal laywers were unable to come to a mutually understanding deal and the negotiations have been declined. Nobuo Shiraishi himself was leading the negotiations on the All Japan side of things, but due to the declining of the offers Shiraishi has stated that the promotion will be moving forward under the new management that was decided since the 1st of June.

The event that is scheduled on June 30th will indeed be the last show for all the wrestlers currently under contract for All Japan, and it appears that new contracts will be signed for the wrestlers who wish to remain in the promotion in July and following.
All Japan will be reborn going forward as they will continue to provide and deliver excitement to everyone of the fans.

??????????????????????????
We sincerely thank you for supporting All Japan Pro-Wrestling.

~ I will have a post up later today for the All Japan press conference for the 6.30 show."

I've just seen the pictures of the crowd at the Sumo Hall, its maybe 30% full if that. Shiraishi has royally *censored*ed up, everything set up fine and all he had to do was let Kondo, Kaz and Mutoh get on with booking but no he wanted to change everything and now all the hard work of the last few years has been undone. Except NJPW, 2013 puroresu is depressing.

[All Japan Update] All Japan Pro-Wrestling has officially announced their active roster as of July 1, 2013.

Taiyo Kea, Joe Doering, Suwama, Takao Omori, Manabu Soya, KENSO, Akira Raijin (aka SUSHI), Seiya Sanada, Akebono (Freelance), Masanobu Fuchi, and Andy Wu (currently in Mexico) will be remaining in the promotion, as of this time.

They are joined by “Burning" which consists of Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Go Shiozaki, Jun Akiyama, Kotaro Suzuki, and Atsushi Aoki.

This makes it official that Masakatsu Funaki, Masayuki Kono, Yasufumi Nakanoueno, KAI, Ryota Hama, Shuji Kondo, Minoru Tanaka, Kaz Hayashi, and Hiroshi Yamato have left the promotion.

These nine wrestlers are now freelance from All Japan Pro-Wrestling and it is heavily speculated that they will be joining Keiji Mutoh following his resigning from All Japan at the end of May.

Its 2000 all over again

The Pro Wrestling Love era/Keiji Mutoh(almost 12 years) era is over. What a year its been so far for All Japan they go from gaining 5 wrestlers (Burning) to losing 9 wrestlers . They lose Kai who just jump to Heavyweight and would probably would have been a future Triple Crown champ and feuding over it with Go Shiozaki for years to come and now nope.

Losing guys like Hiroshi Yamato, Shuji Kondom Hiroshi Yamato and Minoru Tanaka is gonna hurt there JR. Heavyweight division.

Here is some more news

From Puroresu Spirit

"It is clearly obvious that Shiraishi will have to work with outside organizations, but will they be willing to work with All Japan without Mutoh is one of the biggest questions.
The closed door policy is something that a few promotions cannot look past either.

It is being rumored that Genichiro Tenryu (Tenryu Project) could very well be on the verge of once again aligning with All Japan, which would be funny as he returned following the last major split.

Even though I knew it was coming it still sucks to wake up to. I'm surprised but happy Seiya stayed though and Tenryu returning is bizarre as last time I saw him wrestle he kept falling over.

@ Poe, maybe depressing is a bit of a stretch but with NOAH slowly shrinking and the split in AJPW, theres not much to be cheerful about. :(
