The mission statement of KABOOM! to produce colourful characters and compelling storylines withing a fun and family environment. How Often Does KABOOM! -lucharesu- Hold Shows? KABOOM! -lucharesu- holds a supershow every three weeks. Single events take place on Sundays whilst some bigger events and tournaments take place over both Saturday and Sunday. What Tournaments Does KABOOM! -lucharesu- Hold? KABOOM! -lucharesu- holds three annual tournaments: Rey de Voladores The Rey de Voladores (King of Flyers) a 16-person tournament that takes place over two days in July. Day one features a series of eight Solos Matches and day two features two 4-Way Survival Matches consisting of the eight winners from day one, the two winners of the 4-Way Survival Matches then compete against each other in a Solos Match. Tag World Grand Prix The Tag World Grand Prix is a 16-team single-elimination tournament that takes place over two days in January. Young Lions Cup The Young Lions Cup is an 8-person single-elimination tournament that takes place over one day in July. Only wrestlers that are aged 25 and under are eligible to compete in the tournament. What Other Accomplishments Does KABOOM! -lucharesu- Feature? KABOOM! -lucharesu- features three championships: Grand Championship The Grand Championship is KABOOM!'s premiere championship, held in the same regard as the World or Heavyweight Championships in other promotions. Duos Championship The Duos Championship is KABOOM!'s equivalent of a tag team championship. Adhering to Lucha Libre tradition, all defenses of the championship are in 2-Out-of-3 Falls Matches. Aero Championship The Aero Championship is KABOOM!'s second solos championship behind the Grand Championship and places emphasis and high-flying action, although there is no official weight limit attached to the championship. Contendership towards all three of KABOOM!'s championships can be earned in the same ways. Either by defeating the reigning champion(s) in an applicable non-title match or by earning three points which are awarded by winning matches. In addition to the championships, KABOOM! also features: Torneo Cibernetico The Torneo Cibernetico is a 16-person elimination match which takes place in May at the Clan Wars event. The winner of the Torneo Cibernetico earns the opportunity to challenge for the Grand Championship at anytime of their choosing up until the next Clan Wars event. Oresama Posted September 25, 2016 Author Report Share Posted September 25, 2016 O2 Apollo || Manchester, England || September 25, 2016 First Round Match of the Grand Championship Tournament Big Damo vs. Zack Gibson The match starts with Big Damo and Zack Gibson circling the ring several times before locking up in the centre of the it where Damo quickly overpowers Zack by tossing him into the corner before charging in after him, Gibson hits Damo with a back elbow strike to the face however before coming off the middle rope with a diving double axe handle attempt which Damo manages to counter by swatting Zack out of midair before bringing him back to his feet in the corner and hitting him with a biel throw across the ring, when Gibson groggily gets back to his feet in the opposite corner, Damo hits him with a running body avalanche followed by an overhead choke suplex before coming off the ropes with a running senton attempt which Zack narrowly avoids by sliding out to the ring apron. With Big Damo now laid out on the mat, Zack Gibson slingshots back into the ring with a stomp to the midsection before coming off the ropes with a running punt kick attempt which Damo manages block before locking Zack in a single-leg Boston crab which Gibson eventually manages to battle out of, hitting Damo with an enzuigiri before coming off the ropes with a running crossbody which Damo manages to counter by catching Zack in midair before attempting to hit him with a Samoan drop which Gibson manages to fight out of, hitting Damo with a series of back elbow strikes to the side of the head followed by a chop block before coming off the ropes with a running punt pick. With Big Damo now laid out on the mat, Zack Gibson comes off the ropes with a frog splash attempt which Damo manages to counter by getting his knees up, Damo then waits for Zack to groggily get back to his feet before setting him up for the Coiste Bodhar which Gibson manages to counter into a modified jawbreaker before coming off the ropes, only to run straight into a low-angle crossbody followed by a running senton from Damo who then brings Zack back to his feet and hits him with the Ulster Plantation for the three count. Winner: Big Damo First Round Match of the Grand Championship Tournament Doug Williams vs. Sha Samuels The match starts with Doug Williams and Sha Samuels meeting in the centre of the ring with Doug offering Sha a handshake which Samuels cautiously accepts after several seconds only to become the recipient of a kick to the midsection, Williams then backs Sha into the corner with a series of European uppercuts followed by a series of knife-edged chops to the chest before setting up for a snap suplex which Samuels manages to counter into a snap suplex of his own, sending Doug into the turnbuckles. When Doug Williams groggily gets back to his feet in the corner, Sha Samuels attempts to hit him with a vertical suplex which Doug manages to counter with a series of knee strikes to the head which cause Sha to drop him out to the ring apron, when Samuels attempts to bring Williams back into the ring, Doug hits him with a European uppercut followed by a hotshot across the top rope before slingshotting into a guillotine choke which Sha manages to counter into an exploder suplex which prompts Williams to roll out to the arena floor. When Sha Samuels climbs out onto the apron in order to follow Doug Williams out to the arena floor, Doug trips him, causing Sha to fall hard on the apron before repeatedly slamming his left knee into it, Williams then locks Samuels in the British Figure-Four Leglock on the arena floor before re-entering the ring in an attempt to pick up a count out victory, Sha manages to make it back into the ring just after the count of "9" however and Doug immediately begins to work over Samuels' left leg with a series of stomps before attempting to lock him in the British Figure-Four Leglock yet again, this time however, Sha manages to kick Williams off into the corner. With Doug Williams now groggy in the corner, Sha Samuels then charges in after him but Doug narrowly avoids contact, causing Sha to crash chest-first into the turnbuckles before hitting him with the Chaos Theory for the three count. Winner: Doug Williams First Round Match of the Grand Championship Tournament Drew Galloway vs. Rampage Brown The match starts with Drew Galloway and Rampage Brown circling the ring before locking up in the centre of it with Drew managing to gain the upper hand with a wristlock transitioned into a hammerlock and finally a side headlock which Rampage manages to counter by shoving Galloway off into the ropes and attempting to hit him with a clothesline which Drew narrowly avoids before locking a side headlock on once again, this time Brown manages to battle out of it with a series of back elbow strikes to the midsection followed by a back suplex for a one count. Following the kickout, Rampage Brown hits Drew Galloway with a series of mounted punches before bringing him back to his feet and backing him into the corner with a series of forearm strikes to the head, Drew manages to battle back however, hitting Rampage with a knee lift to the midsection followed by a series of shots to the head before coming off the ropes, running straight into a big boot by Brown which sends Galloway staggering backwards into the ropes, Rampage then Irish whips Drew across the ring and attempts to hit him with a clothesline which Galloway narrowly avoids before coming off the ropes with the Claymore for a two count. Following the kickout, Drew Galloway begins to work over Rampage Brown with a series of stomps before dragging him back to his feet and setting him up for the Scot Drop which Rampage manages to counter with a series of back elbow strikes to the side of the head followed by a Samoan drop attempt which Drew manages to wriggle out of, landing on his feet behind Brown before shoving him chest-first into the corner and hitting him with a neckbreaker across the knee for a two count. Following the kickout, Drew Galloway brings Rampage Brown back to his feet and sets him up for a belly-to-belly suplex which Rampage manages to counter with a headbutt followed by a kick to the midsection and powerbomb attempt which Drew manages to counter into a back body drop, Brown manages to land on his feet behind Galloway however but Drew catches him with a back kick to to the midsection followed by the Future Shock for the three count. Winner: Drew Galloway First Round Match of the Grand Championship Tournament Joe Coffey vs. Mikey Whiplash The match starts with Mikey Whiplash attacking Joe Coffey from behind, beating him down in the corner until the referee pulls him away, when Mikey turns his attention back to Joe, Coffey tosses him into the corner and hits him with a series of clotheslines followed by a short-arm clothesline attempt which Whiplash narrowly avoids before rolling Joe up with a school boy for a two count. Following the kickout, Mikey Whiplash charges at Joe Coffey in the corner but gets caught with a low-angle dropkick to the shins which send him face-first into the middle turnbuckle, Joe then brings Mikey back to his feet and attempts to Irish whip him into the corner, Whiplash manages to reverse the attempt however, sending Coffey into the corner instead before charging in after him, running straight into back elbow strike to the face, Joe then follows up by hitting Mikey with the Fall from Nebula for a two count. Following the kickout, Joe Coffey attempts to bring Mikey Whiplash back to his feet but Mikey manages to fight him off with a series of punches to the midsection followed by an inverted atomic drop and a short-arm clothesline, Whiplash then brings Joe back to his feet and attempts to hit him with a second short-arm clothesline which Coffey narrowly avoids before coming off the ropes with a running shoulder block attempt, running straight into a jumping high knee strike to the side of the head which sends Joe through the ropes and down to the arena floor. When Joe Coffey groggily gets back to his feet on the outside of the ring, Mikey Whiplash attempts to hit him with a suicide dive which Joe manages to counter by catching him in midair before slamming Mikey into the steel guardrail and rolling him back into the ring, when Whiplash groggily gets back to his feet, Coffey attempts to hit him with the Black Coffey which Mikey manages to counter into an arm-trap swinging neckbreaker attempt, Joe shoves Whiplash off into the ropes however before hitting him with a release German suplex. When Mikey Whiplash groggily gets back to his feet in the corner, Joe Coffey charges in with a Hulkbuster attempt which Mikey narrowly sidesteps, causing Joe to crash chest-first into the turnbuckles before setting him up for the Zombie Maker which Coffey manages to fight out of with a series of back elbow strikes to the side of the head before wriggling off Whiplash's shoulders and hitting him with the Black Coffey to the back of the head for the three count. Winner: Joe Coffey First Round Match of the Grand Championship Tournament Mark Haskins vs. Marty Scurll The match starts with Mark Haskins and Marty Scurll meeting in the centre of the ring where they stare each other down for several seconds before backing into each corner to remove their entrance attires, as Mark is removing his t-shirt, Marty ambushes him from behind, hitting with a series of forearm clubs to the back before Irish whipping him across the ring and attempting to hit him with a clothesline which Haskins narrowly avoids before coming off the ropes with a flying clothesline of his own, when Scurll gets back to his feet, Mark Irish whips him into the corner and charges in after him, hitting him with a running forearm smash followed by a high back suplex for a two count. Following the kickout, Mark Haskins brings Marty Scurll back to his feet and sets him up for a second high back suplex which Marty manages to fight out of, landing on the ring apron but before he can re-enter the ring, Haskins catches him with an enzuigiri which sends Scurll crashing into the steel guardrail, Mark then attempts to follow up with a suicide dive but Marty cuts him off with a European uppercut which leaves Haskins draped over the middle rope, Scurll then climbs up onto the apron and hits Mark with a superkick to the side of the head which drops Haskins out to the arena floor as Marty re-enters the ring in an attempt to pick up the count out victory. When Mark Haskins rolls back into the ring, Marty Scurll begins to lay into him with a series of stomps before dragging him back to his feet and setting him up for a powerbomb which Mark manages to counter with a back body drop, when Marty groggily gets back to his feet in the corner, Haskins charges in with a running dropkick followed by a Painkiller attempt which Scurll manages to block before taking sending Mark into the turnbuckles with a dragon screw, Scurll then brings Haskins back to his feet in the corner and hits him with a series of knife-edged chops to the chest before setting up for a superplex which Mark manages to counter into a release front superplex before following up with a shooting star press for a two count. Following the kickout, Mark Haskins waits for Marty Scurll to groggily get back to his feet before hitting him with a back kick to the midsection followed by a double knee armbreaker transitioned into the Star Armbar which Marty manages to escape by making it to the ropes, after releasing the hold, Mark attempts to suplex Scurll back into the ring but gets caught with a hotshot across the top rope, Marty then springboards back into the ring but jumps right into the Painkiller by Haskins, with Scurll dazed but still on his feet, Mark attempts to hit him with a superkick which Marty manages to block before spinning Haskins around and locking him in the Crossface Chickenwing which causes Mark to pass out and gives Scurll the submission victory. Winner: Marty Scurll First Round Match of the Grand Championship Tournament Grado vs. Nathan Cruz The match starts with Grado and Nathan Cruz circling the ring several times as the crowd starts to chant "Grado! Grado! Grado!" which leads to Nathan becoming frustrated as Grado begins to taunt which leads to Cruz attacking him from behind, laying him out before hitting him with a series of stomps until the referee pulls him away, when Nathan turns his attention back to Grado he walks straight into an inverted atomic drop which Grado follows up on with a bionic elbow before setting up for the Earthworm which Cruz manages to avoid by sliding out to the arena floor, when Grado follows him out, Nathan catches him with a kick to the midsection before slamming his head into the ring apron and rolling him back into the ring for a two count. Following the kickout, Nathan Cruz locks Grado in a reverse chinlock which Grado eventually manages to battle out of with a series of back elbow strikes to the midsection before shoving him off into the ropes, Nathan comes back with a running shoulder block however before coming off the ropes yet again with a running knee drop attempt which Grado narrowly avoids by rolling out of the way, when both men get back to their feet, Grado hits Cruz with a series of jabs to the face followed by a clothesline attempt which Nathan narrowly avoids before hitting Grado with a double knee backbreaker followed by a double knee facebreaker attempt which Grado manages to avoid before setting Cruz up for Get Tae Yer Bed which Nathan manages to counter by wriggling off Grado's shoulders and shoving him off into the turnbuckles before hitting him with the Showstolen which surprisingly only gains a two count. Following the kickout, Nathan Cruz begins to lay into Grado with a series of stomps before dragging him back to his feet, Grado catches him with the RK-Grado outta nowhere for the three count. Winner: Grado Following the kickout, a furious Nathan Cruz attempts to attack Grado from behind, Grado narrowly avoids it however, rolling out to the arena floor before climbing over the steel guardrail and celebrating his victory amongst the fans. First Round Match of the Grand Championship Tournament El Ligero vs. Wolfgang The match starts with El Ligero and Wolfgang circling the ring several times before locking up in the centre of it with Wolfgang quickly gaining the upper hand by overpowering Ligero and backing him into the corner before Irish whipping him into the opposite one, when Wolfgang charges into the corner after Ligero, he gets caught with a kick to the face followed up with a missile dropkick off the second rope for barely a one count. Following the kickout, El Ligero quickly brings Wolfgang back to his feet and backs him against the ropes before Irish whipping him across the ring and hitting him with a leaping leg lariat followed by a superkick and a step-up enzuigiri for a two count. As soon as Wolfgang kicks out, El Ligero quickly brings him back to his feet for a snap suplex which Wolfgang counters into a release front suplex, draping Ligero across the top rope before attempting to hit him with a big boot to the side of the head which Ligero narrowly avoids, hitting Wolfgang with a rope-aided roundhouse kick to the side of the head, as Wolfgang staggers around the ring, Ligero attempts to finish him off early with a C4L attempt which Wolfgang manages to counter with a big boot in midair, when Ligero groggily gets back to his feet, Wolfgang hits him with a Samoan drop for a two count. Following the kickout, Wolfgang comes off the ropes with a running leg drop attempt which El Ligero narrowly manages to avoid by rolling out of the way, with Wolfgang now seated on the mat, Ligero attempts to hit him with a shoot kick to the chest which Wolfgang narrowly avoids by dropping back down onto the mat, Ligero hits him with a senton instead however before coming off the ropes with a running splash for a two count. Following the kickout, El Ligero heads up to the top rope but Wolfgang knocks him off it with a forearm smash to the face, Ligero manages to land on the ring apron however but before he can re-enter the ring, Wolfgang knocks him down to arena floor with the thrust kick, when Ligero groggily gets back to his feet on the outside of the ring, Wolfgang lays him back out with a somersault senton from the apron before bringing him back to his feet and attempting to roll him back into the ring, Ligero catches Wolfgang with a tiger feint kick underneath the bottom rope however before attempting to hit him with a diving seated senton from the apron which Wolfgang manages to counter into a running powerbomb into the steel ringpost, when Ligero groggily gets back to his feet with the ringpost, Wolfgang charges towards him with a running body avalanche attempt which Ligero manages to sidestep at the last second, causing Wolfgang to collide with the ringpost before laying him out on the arena floor with the Mexican Wave. With Wolfgang now motionless on the arena floor, El Ligero rolls him back into the ring and ascends to the top rope for the Mexican Splash, Wolfgang begins to get back to his feet however which leads to Ligero dropping down to the apron and attempting the C4L for a second time, this time, Wolfgang manages to counter it by catching Ligero in midair and hitting him with the Slam Dunk but rather than going for the pinfall, Wolfgang ascends to the top rope for the Howling which Ligero narrowly avoids by rolling out of the way, Ligero then waits for Wolfgang to groggily get back to his feet before charging towards him, only to get caught with a pop-up into the Damage Point for the three count. Winner: Wolfgang First Round Match of the Grand Championship Tournament Dave Mastiff vs. Zack Sabre Jr. The match starts with Dave Mastiff and Zack Sabre Jr. circling the ring several times before approaching the centre of it where they tease a lockup, Zack goes for a single-leg instead but fails to take Dave off his feet, Mastiff then begins to hit Sabre with a series of clubbing blows to the back until Zack nails him with a European uppercut, Dave then continues to hit Sabre with clubbing blows to the back before shoving him off into the ropes, Zack comes back with a baseball slide through Mastiff's legs before taking him down to his knees with a low-angle dropkick to the shins followed by a modified crucifix pin for a one count. Following the kickout, Dave Mastiff attempts to hit Zack Sabre Jr. with a senton which Zack narrowly avoids by rolling out of the way before catching Dave with an Oklahoma roll which doesn't even gain a two count, Sabre then transitions the pinfall attempt into an omoplata crossface which Mastiff manages to escape by making it to the ropes, after releasing the hold, Zack attempts to bring Dave back to his feet but gets caught with a throat thrust followed by a stun gun across the top rope. With Zack Sabre Jr. groggy against the ropes, Dave Mastiff attempts to bring him into the centre of the ring but Zack fights him off with a series of back elbow strikes to the side of the head before locking him in a wristlock and slingshotting out to the arena floor, hotshotting Dave's left arm across the top rope, with Mastiff now favouring his left arm, Sabre quickly ascends to the top rope and hits him with a missile dropkick which sends Dave staggering into the corner, Zack then charges in after him but gets tossed over the top rope, Sabre manages to land on the ring apron however before hitting Mastiff with a shoulder thrust to the midsection followed by a rope-aided enzuigiri to the shoulder and a diving European uppercut for a two count. Following the kickout, Zack Sabre Jr. waits for Dave Mastiff to begin getting back to his feet before attempting to hit him with the Penalty Kick which Dave narrowly avoids, Zack comes right back with a sliding forearm smash to the back of the head, before coming off the ropes with the Penalty Kick, rather than going for the pinfall however, Sabre brings Mastiff back to his feet and sets him up for the New School Armbreaker which Dave manages to counter by shoving Zack off into the corner before hitting him with a running body avalanche followed by a cannonball. When Zack Sabre Jr. groggily gets back to his feet, Dave Mastiff attempts to hit him with a discus lariat which Zack narrowly avoids before hitting Dave with an overhead kick to the left arm quickly followed up with the New School Armbreaker for the submission victory.
