Here is the first finalized Cawctionary Companion Guide in what could be a series of new releases featuring some of "The Best" created Wrestlers & Divas from the WWE gaming community, although this years final release is a CAW only guide I am hoping that for next year this is something that can be expanded upon as was the case with last years release, I've implemented a new direction with the .pdf format so the content can be readily available offline via pc/laptop or now even with your mobile phone/tablet with adobe reader to make accessing content even easier and slightly more eye catching.

Cornette.pngConstructive criticism would be appreciated.Cornette.png

I realize it's late on in the year but I have put a fair few hours of work into this so if you can spare the time to hit me up with some constructive feedback or ideas for the future that would be appreciated.

I will post some preview pics tomorrow and may add the complete list to the topic below.

If the demand is there this will more than likely become an annual release and next year will feature all of the other sub categories I didn't quite have the time to implement time round such as arenas, trons etc.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy.

I agree.

Should be a lot more organized this year too since you're getting started so early.

Good luck sir.

My only criticism about this last year is that there were a bunch of CAWs on that list that looked like crap, and only made the list for being the most downloaded CAW of said person, instead of how good or [more often than not] horrible the CAW itself looked. You should be more selective, and only put CAWs on this list that ACTUALLY look great. The list would be way smaller. lol. Though, this year, I dunno....when Tich already puts out a Goldberg face like that right from the gate, we might be in for some good CAWing this year.

Thats what the polls are for... the only "crap" CAWS i saw where the ones that had say only three CAWS of said wrestler and the ones on the list where the best of that particular wrestler

The polls were kind of dumb. If you're gonna think you know enough about what makes a really good CAW to start a topic about the absolute best CAWs out there that year, then it isn't a matter of popular opinion. It's a matter of looking at a CAW and instantly knowing "Oh, this is mindblowing.." or "Meh. Not bad. Not the greatest, though. Leaves alot to be desired." and "Shit. Just....crap."...and anything that doesn't make you say "Holy shit, this is a really good CAW!" shouldn't be on this list, is all I was saying.

If there's only 3 versions of a wrestler that can be found on CC, that doesn't qualify the better one of the 3 to get on a list like this. It has to really look great....and alot of them didn't. It isn't a 'life or death' situation or anything...lol... but I feel a topic listing the absolute best in CAW top-notchery (lol), a topic that thousands upon thousands view, should better represent what truly good CAWs are.

Everything is relative. The main site caws.ws has a directory but few of the creators actually use it. We are a pretty big population but we aren't huge, so to have a list of online work that we may otherwise look over is very beneficial.

I do agree with B7 but variety is democracy.

I agree with variety. For example, I think there were several HBK's and Daniel Bryan's from the polls that should've made the list just for being good. I don't believe in there being ONE CAW that can be deemed "best"for each wrestler (unless there really IS a clear winner, which is obvious from first sight), and one alone...one of a couple reasons why I think the polls were dumb. They should just all fit a certain quality, where people who come into that topic KNOW they're gonna get an insight as to where to find CAWs that really look awesome and make them feel the closest they can that year to feeling like they're playing with an ingame model of said person. I think the only people who give a crap about the "directory" anymore are the same people still begging for formulas in every topic every year. lol. With the exception of Vries, I don't think I know a maker of awesome, time-consuming CAWs that still finds time to go through the process of creating a formula, be it by typing or by video. Why?....We can just upload, y'know?..lol

It was originaly just so peeps didn't have to trawl CC to find a good CAW that's all... no biggy there isn't anything else about that i can see so i'm glad KG takes time to even bother.. i'm all for the CAWS on the list being "Epic" but if somebody wants a "wrestler" and the best one isn't thay good it's better for it to be on the list than not, then its upto who wants it to download it.. anyhow B7 you seem to be the only one against this... maybe because you're pillman got beat in the poll's  jk.

To start of with there are no "Crap" CAWS some are just more preferable to others

due to the attires or morphing etc

As for being more selective about CAWS being put onto the Cawctionary Topic Kid Glory

made it very clear it wasn't for The best CAWS in the game, The list was for the

best available of each wrestler that had been created not every wrestler was created by one

of the top creators. So there were some CAWS that others felt wasn't as well

created as some of the other CAWS listed.

Not trying to take a personal shot at you but it seems you're still rather upset/annoyed at the

Polls due to your Brian Pillman losing the Poll on the WWE'12 CAWctionary topic.

As you were convinced yours was the better CAW.

[Not saying it wasn't just trying make a point]

"only put CAWS on this list that ACTUALLY look great"

That was the point of the Polls so the majority of the community could decide

which looked better or "Great"

People were saying before he began doing Polls it was just a matter of his opinion

So To keep the list impartial Kid Glory started doing Polls which is the fairest way of

deciding which CAW is ending up on the list IMO.

"a topic that has* thousands upon thousands of* viewS, should better represent what truly good CAWs are"

To be fair To gain Thousands upon thousands of views he must be doing a fairly good

job at maintaining the CAWctionary and keeping most people happy about it.

Of course some people will always have a problem with something on the List

but its about keeping the majority of the community happy.

As for doing a Poll on whether people want the list to be done this year or not

it seems to be helping alot of people find good CAWS on Community Creations.

So not making a list this year seems kinda dumb.

:nono:

Looks like it's time for your first (maybe last poll) KG...keep this thread open? yay or nay lol :P

It isn't me taking a shot at KG or this thread. I like this thread, and you're making it sound like I'm saying it shouldn't exist. That wasn't the point of my first post. The point is that it should be more selective.

And yes, there is a such thing as "crap" caws. There are lots of them. It's all good. I'm glad people are enjoying CAW mode and producing things they feel proud of...BUT...that's not what this list is about.

And nah, I wasn't really basing anything off of which of my CAWs did or didn't make the list. Hell, Brian Pillman's the ONLY one I made that didn't make the list. But I'm confident enough in what I did to know that all you have to do is take one look at it and know it's better. Doesn't bother me....I love making Pillman every year. So no...it has more to do with other CAWs I was interested in downloading, came to this topic as a reference point, downloaded the CAW of the person that made this list, and it just looking horrible. That's what I meant by what I said. It was a cool topic last year, but the polls made no sense and there were too many CAWs that had no business being on that list. Not a shot at Kid Glory in any way or saying this topic sucks, like that guy seems to be trying to make it out as. lol

PIN THIS!

I say before any CAW makes it onto the list it must first be voted on against a competitor.
