This didn't happen in WWE Universe but I felt it was the best place to post it. Well I just played my last match in WWE 12, it was the 40 Man Royal Rumble to detertmine the WWE 12 Champion and what a match it was. The winner would not only be crowned the WWE 12 Champion (Champions Of Champions Belt) but also gets to choose his opponent in the first match of my WWE 13 Universe. Week 2 in May

 

Opening Credits.

 

Commentary: Micheal Cole refers to John Cena winning the Beat the clock challenge last week, and how John Cena will now name the stipulation for the World Heavyweight Championship Match at Night of Champions. Just then John Cena comes down to the ring and makes his announcement.

 

John Cena will face Brock Lesnar in a SUBMISSION MATCH.

 

Ad Break

 

Promo: Smackdown GM Teddy Long is in the ring, and he calls for Christian & Yoshi Tatsu to join him in the ring. Teddy begins to talk about the Intercontinental Title, but then he is interrupted by the arrival of John Morrison & Mark Henry who charge the ring and attack Yoshi & Christian causing a brawl to break out in the ring.

 

Eventually the brawl is broken up, and Teddy announces that next week will see a Fatal 4 Way between the 4 Supersatrs in the ring, the Superstar who loses that match would then be eliminated fromn contention for the Intercontinental Title. As for tonight, Mark Henry will later on face Big Show, and Christian will face Tyson Kidd in a rematch from 2 weeks ago.

Beth Pheonix v Layla

 

In a match that was made to allow Layla to get revenge for last weeks assault, both Diva's put on a decent display, even seeing Beth kick out of the Lay-Out.

Winner: Beth Pheonix via Pinfall.

Post Match: A staredown between the 2 Diva's ended when Beth attacked Layla again when her back was turned.

 

Promo: Accompanied by Ricardo Rodriguez, Alberto Del Rio came to the ring, still DEMANDING another World Heavyweight Title Match. He claims that even hiring The Big Show to defend Teddy would not stop his DESTINY. Just then Big Show comes down to the ring, causing Del Rio & Rodriguez to exit quickly.

With these 2 behemoths in the ring, the match could've gone either way, Mark Henry landed the Worlds Strongest Slam, anfd Big Show delivered his Choke Slam, but neither would keep their opponent down.

 

Winner: Big Show via Pinfall.

Post Match: Big Show was the victim of an attack from behind by Alberto Del Rio & Ricardo Rodriguez.

 

Promo: After Alicia Fox got involved with Kharma's business with Maryse last week, and then Security prevented Kharma from handling Alicia, she is demanding Alicia pay for her actions.

Alicia started quickly, perhaps Kharma underestimated her opponent, and when Alicia landed her Axe Kick, it looked like the shock victory was on, but Kharma kicked out and then went on an all out assault, but Alicia was still fighting.

 

Winners: Kharma via pinfall.

 

Post Match: Kharma continued the assault on Alicia, until Maryse came running down to the ring, causing Kharma to leave the ring. Alicia & Maryse then together watched as Kharma left.

 

Backstage: Conspicuous by hus absence during Mark Henry's match, John Morrison was confronted by Mark Henry regarding his absence, Morrison said forget about tonight, next week is what matters and the beginning of the path to Championship Gold for one of them.

 

Hawk & Animal are on their way to the ring, when they are ambushed in the corridors by Chavo & Tyson Kidd.

 

In the ring the Road Warriors opponents Husky Harris & Vader gloat about The Road Warrios "little accident", Vader demands the referee make them winners by forfeit...........but then Hawk & Animal charge the ring, and they don't look happy.

Winners: Vader & Husky Harris via pinfall as Husky Harris covered Animal.

 

Post Match: Despite the match being over Cody decided to inflict more damage, but Booker wasn't finished and managed to fight on, until Ted Di Biase made his dramatic return from injury and laid out Booker T from behind.

 

Backstage Promo: Christian confronts Tyson Kidd, he warns Kidd of consequences if anyboidy intereferes in their match, like Ziggler did 2 weeks ago.

Winner: Tyson Kidd via Pinfall after hitting huis Finisher in what would be considered by some a HUGE UPSET

 

Backstage: John Cena is leaving the arena, and Lesnar from out of nowhere ambushes him and using what he can, leaves Cena laying.

Well I'm going to post up, maybe in the hope that somewhere out there someone has been caught by the WWE bug and is starting late (i'm guessing nobody cares because they are playing '13 or are waiting for '14) lol.
I'll be using WWE '12 until the next gen console comes out in November and then wait and get the next gen WWE game and see where that takes me but for now my wrestling fix is firmly on the WWE '12 game.

In my Universe there is a massive shakeup in the WWE after a big meeting it is decided by McMahons to regenerate the Federation and retire anyone over 40. After the most recent PPV the standards had dropped and the matches too slow, so It's a long term investment for the company and hopefully to give the younger generation a crack at the Gold. With the intention to deliver high impact speedy matches full of risky moves to capture the audience and get the ratings back up.
