lightning116
Hey y'all. I have this sudden urge to buy a third-person shooter very soon. At first I wanted one for my birthday in September, but for now one will do and then I'll get another when the time comes You see, if there's one thing to know about me is my dislike for first-person shooters. I've never liked them at all or how they've, in my mind, saturated the gaming market. But the third-person aspect is my preference. Right now, I have about a dozen games that are either pure third-person shooting with the whole cover aspect while others are a combination of that and another (platforming). These are the games I have: Resident Evil 4 (Wii) Ratchet and Clank 1 and 3 (PS2) Shadows of the Damned (PS3) Uncharted 1 and 2 (PS3) will get Uncharted 3 in the future inFamous 1 and 2 (PS3) Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Quest For Booty and A Crack In Time (PS3) Dead Space 1 and 2 (PS3) Vanquish (PS3) Right now, any game for these consoles (and I know there's plenty) would be nice if I'm able to find them. Hell, my PS2 needs some love too since I only have 2 of the 3 Ratchet and Clank games. Your gaming help will be very appreciated.

Kirky
Deus Ex might be a possibility. Also Dead Space. Not sure whether they are classed as a 3rd person, but someone will probably answer that question for me. I personally disliked Deus Ex, but there is plenty of content for it if I remember correctly. Also, Uncharted 3 is a must have, but you already listed that.

Also, Uncharted 3 is a must have, but you already listed that. Original Deus Ex, or Human Revolution? Either way you can't go wrong. Both have great replayability, seeing how you can play them differently. shooter, stealthy, heck you can play through the original by talking your way through the whole game. Can't go wrong. Dead Space is 3rd person. The first game is amazing, more of a survival horror feel to it, as opposed to the more action oriented Dead Space 2. I just picked up Max Payne 3 last week and it's pretty great. The story is easily one of the best of this generation and the multiplayer is fun. I hope more people pick this game up because it deserves its due.
3w4te5rgd
Red Faction: Armageddon. A lot of people overlooked it or ignored it but it a pretty swell game worth playing, packed with lots of action and very destructible environments. Another overlooked decent game is Dark Void. It's pretty standard overall, but it has a some unique ideas, and many awesome moments worth sitting though.
lightning116
I hope some of you realise that I did say at the beginning that I already own both Dead Space games Played the hell out of the first, enjoyed the second one and looking forward to the third one too. Though thanks for mentioning them.
lightning116
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is very good. Wait, isn't that the one recently?
Lumpy McRighteous
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. It's quite an oldie (came out in '03), but it's fun as hell and a blast to play.
Kryptonite Krunch
If you have a 3DS, I recommend Kid Icarus Uprising and Resident Evil Revelations. I've sunk almost 100 hours into KI already. I haven't play Revelations myself, but I hear good things about it.

lightning116
Thanks a bunch, guys. Because of your input, I've made my decision. So now, I have my eyes set on: 007: Bloodstone (PS3) Red Faction: Armageddon (PS3) Kid Icarus Uprising (3DS) Max Payne 1 (PS2) Max Payne 2 (PS2) Max Payne 3 (PS3) Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (PS3) Metal Arms: Glitch In The System (PS2) Now the big question for me: what to get first? Damn me and my one-game policy this year. I'll be able to come up with something with these eight games. You can lock it now.
Lumpy McRighteous
Get Metal Arms first and I will follow you to the gates of hell and back. :
lightning116
Get Metal Arms first and I will follow you to the gates of hell and back. :3 What do you think I'm trying to do? The videos on YouTube helped me to make my decision. I actually had Max Payne 1 on my mind at first, but a quick glimpse of this game changed it immediately. So what if Metal Arms is a difficult game? As long as I'm shooting every enemy robot that moves, I'm all for it.
