Yes! I knew Dijak would be great for NXT the first time I saw him in ROH.

Ring of Honor CEO Joe Koff appeared on the latest edition of WrestleZone Radio for a new interview. During the talk, Koff discussed CM Punks relationship with the company. Highlights are below:

On the idea of Punk returning to ROH: CM Punk would be an unbelievable addition for Ring of Honor. I dont know where that would be or could be. It would be a dream. Wrestling talent knows this: once you are a part of Ring of Honor you are always a part of Ring of Honor. Our door is always open to people who want to come back and perform at our level, with our style and for our fans. That would be a dream. That would be unbelievableCM Punk, if youre listening or reading, I hope you are, you are always welcome in our house. You know that. He knows that. Weve had conversations in the past through people. He knows that there is a welcome sign for him.

On if hes spoken with Punk: I havent spoken to him personally and I think its through intermediaries or whatever. I think his first goal was to be involved in his MMA stuff.

On if Punk has any desire to return to wrestling: I think thats a question for him. I wish I had that big story.

ROH Champion Cody Rhodes recently spoke with Metro, and below are some interview highlights:

Your personality has really shined on the independent circuit, whereas in WWE it felt like sometimes you were stuck in a vacuum at times. What could have WWE done better for your character?

I honestly think the more time I spend away from WWE the less it was WWEs fault and the more it was my inability to go with my guts. There would have been a big difference if I had done that.

And that would have meant saying no to a writer or correcting a few folks and maybe ruffling some feathers and stepping on some toes, but I cant think of anything more important for a wrestler than to go with his gut.

Did you ever speak up? The stories go that if you complain in WWE you get punished.

I dont recall at any point ever being punished for anything like that, but I do recall that when I did speak up for myself from time to time it didnt make a difference.

Essentially the answer I would get was thanks but no thanks. I think I developed a reputation as a complainer and thats hard to escape. You dont want to be a complainer, you want to be someone who says I dont like this but heres my alternative.

People still have many complaints about WWEs creativity or more accurately, the lack of it. Where does the buck stop with this? Who should they be complaining to?

WWE is so powerful in terms of their world presence and the talent they have on board, so I think whats going to happen at some point is that theyre going to restructure all of this.

There are some guys in WWE, Vince McMahon, Triple H, Michael Hayes, Arn Anderson and Mike Rotunda included, who should be writers but instead are producers.

More on that:

NEVER Openweight Champion Minoru Suzuki will have his first United States match in 25 years next month as he is scheduled for the Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view and subsequent TV tapings on September 22nd and 23rd in Las Vegas.

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced Suzuki and KUSHIDA as appearing for ROH on those dates, noting that they will leave the September New Japan tour after the September 16th show in Hiroshima to head to the US.

Suzuki, who was an MMA pioneer that UFC attempted to book on its early shows but at the time Pancrase didn't want its top stars doing UFC, has never been among the talent sent previously to ROH, and he was not at the Long Beach New Japan shows.

ROH will be taping four weeks of television, including the final shows before Death Before Dishonor, this coming Saturday in Atlanta at Center Stage Theater.

As noted, the latest edition of 'Dinner With The King' with co-hosts Jerry "The King" Lawler and Glenn Moore dropped today.

Cody Rhodes joined the show to preview his match with The King, which will happen Friday night for Northeast Wrestling The match is for the NEW Heavyweight Championship and Ring of Honor Championship. They sent us these highlights from Cody:

His current situation with ROH:

"Ring of Honor hates the fact that I genuinely remained a free agent; I did not sign a contract with them. I signed on for various dates, and I have many dates left with them. I really like Ring of Honor. But I'm not going to be exclusive anywhere. I did exclusive."

His post-WWE career:

"This is the happiest I've been in my career. It's been so rewarding to get out there and do my own schedule. I'm very much a happy man. It's a cool time."

The Cody Rhodes name and WWE owning it:

"It's a very simple matter of, if I want to ask for my last name, if I want to ask for Cody Rhodes back to perform under it — I perform under it at non-televised events, it's not secret to the fans that's my last name — but when it comes to television, that's WWE's intellectual property. And I am wholeheartedly sure that if I were to ask them to go by Rhodes, they would have no problem.

"But I don't mind going by just Cody. I think there's something cool about it."
