RVD 4:20
I'm hoping that the Rockets can get to the playoffs. I don't expect us to contend for the Championship or anything, I'll just be happy if we make the playoffs.

SUCKA
Unless there will be an NBA season this year, this thread will be pretty damn dead. lol I hope the aging players like Steve Nash, Grant Hill, and Marcus Camby can stick around though. I'd like to see them with a championship.

The Future Is...
http://sheridanhoops.com/2011/09/05/nba-lockout-update-sides-are-closer-than-theyre-saying/ Not sure if I believe this article but, it looks about right. Here is a projected timeline that pushes things about as far as you can push them: Oct. 1: An agreement is reached on aggregate dollars. Oct. 4: All remaining issues are settled. Oct. 5-19: The agreement is put into writing. Oct. 20: Free agency opens and players already under contract are allowed to report to their teams. Oct. 21-31: Training camps are held, and each team plays two exhibition games. Nov. 1: The season opens on time, with three games: Bulls-Mavericks and Thunder-Lakers in a TNT doubleheader, along with Rockets-Jazz.
RVD 4:20
^Sounds good to me. I wouldn't mind kicking off the season with a win against the Jazz .
The Future Is...
Looks like a deal might get done in 1-2 weeks, but that's just a guess.. since they have agreed NOT to talk about things openly to the media. Both sides have agreed to have multiple meetings through out the 3 weeks they have left. Derek Fisher, David Stern and Billy Hunter all said that there is a possibility that a season will happen on time.

The Future Is...
http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/12/derrick-fisher-taking-own-advice-will-play-in-las-vegas There's a rumor going around that Derrick Fisher sent out a text to a few players informing them to get physically ready in case the season really does start on time. Derrick Fisher and 60+ other NBA players are also going to be playing in this league. Teams will be assembled with an eye toward parity and with an emphasis on keeping N.B.A. teammates together. Billups will probably be joined by his Knicks teammates Shawne Williams and Iman Shumpert. Another roster will feature at least four Rockets: Kyle Lowry, Chuck Hayes, Chase Budinger and Courtney Lee. Mo Williams and DeAndre Jordan of the Clippers will form the core of a team, with hopes that their teammate Blake Griffin, last season's rookie of the year, will join them. Come and see! Others who have committed include: John Wall and Rashard Lewis of the Wizards, Stephen Curry of the Warriors, J. J. Hickson of the Kings, Eric Maynor of the Thunder, Al Harrington of the Nuggets, Jermaine O'Neal of the Celtics and Jared Dudley of the Suns. The Future Is...
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/sam_amick/09/15/derek.fisher.letter/index.html#ixzz1Y3tURHxt The open letter that Derek Fisher sent out today to players around the league, here's a direct quote from the letter. The turning point this past Tuesday was not a disagreement between the players and the owners. It was actually a fundamental divide between the owners internally. They could not agree with each other on specific points of the deal and therefore it caused conflict within the league and its owners. So it is our hope that today, Thursday, at the owners meeting in Dallas that they work out their differences, come up with a revenue sharing plan that will protect their teams and are then ready to come together and sign off on the agreement we as a smaller group deemed reasonable. There's a rumor going around that owners of the Cavaliers Dan Gilbert & Suns owner Robert Sarver are involved in this "rift" with the Owners. UPDATE: http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/15/report-cavs-gilbert-suns-sarver-killed-potential-labor-deal Deal would have been reached if it weren't for those two. Predator.
Cavs fan here, and I knew Gilbert would find a way to F this up when they got close to a deal. Horrible owner.

I don't think it will, but I hope Bogut comes to Adelaide instead. Gold Coast are already a really good team and would become unbeatable if they get Bogut. koberulz
Adelaide are way behind. Gold Coast seem the favorites, but if it isn't them it'll be Sydney.
