Yeah, well done, you've put in charge a mod who closed and locks the RPG chat, just because he can't take a joke. Never trust a technician to do a headmaster's job...

That wasn't me that closed it, fyi.

It's funny because I'm pretty sure ThreeG himself told the folks to calm it down and it's likely he closed it himself as well.

Also, those chat threads are pointless spam anyway.

Should I go on another rant about freedom of speech? Na, I think you already pretty much know what I'd say...

So basically if I get the gist of what you're trying to imply here. It's ok for this guy to run the site like a tyrant, warning, banning and shutting down anyone who speaks out against him or his methods?

It's sad that I would have to be afraid not to...When the internet becomes so serious to the point that you can't speak your mind without worrying if I'll get warned or bant then it's just pretty pitiful. Not gonna sugarcoat it, I'm just being straight real with my opinion. which is shared by others by the way but won't dare speak it for reasons I just mentioned.

Caws.ws is an internet forum, not a country. Even if it was, all the past admins weren't from America anyway, so they probably laugh at the freedom of speech argument. Furthermore, whoever owns and runs the site can do whatever they want with it. That's why it's THEIRS. It isn't anyone's job to make sure you or any other member can do whatever you want and keep your butt wiped, keep the warm pancakes on the table, or anything like that. Anyone coming here for more than just fun discussion is taking the internet too seriously. All this talk about your rights and tyrants, acting like Tom Rice and ThreeG are Doctor Doom and Lex Luthor, it's just ridiculous. Any discussion that was happening in topics, the posters there knew that what they were talking about is taboo and knew that there could be whatever repercussions the staff desired stemming from it.

You can't call the shots when you are on someone else's home court. That's just not how it works. You take your ball and play somewhere else if you don't like it, because things aren't going to change.

Well, in certain places. Still, oh well, i just prefered it back in the day, when you could have fun and not have to pay a price for it.

Actually Rich it was worse back in the day. 2008 I remember Mods were handing out warns like candy for stupid stuff like calling people idiots. Or hurting a noobs feelings by saying they know nothing, it's the reason I nor my partner really wanted to come on the site and post our videos for like the first 3 months I made this account. We didn't know if we'd get banned just for posting videos we made because it might be considered advertising or spamming. Lately Caws hasn't been that bad but we might head back into that direction now. Which would really, really, really suck.

lol people take things way too seriously. We closed a topic that was in Roleplaying Games because it wasn't an RPG, it was just another Anything Goes-MSN chat. We allowed it to go on for a while, until the fight the powah~ folk started craving attention and trying to get noticed - Sad.
So it was locked, and I believe after I left for the night they began spamming so they got warned/suspended by the GMods.

The forums improving for the better, we're always on the look-out for new Moderators, so the forums friendly for all-comers. If you don't like the Board Rules - don't join. Accepting our terms = Agreeing to our rules. Breaking them = No longer a member of our forum.

Thanks.
