"Takashi Uwano, joined by Riki Choshu and Tomohiro Ishii, held a press conference today to announce that after the 2/24 Korakuen and 2/29 Osaka LOCK UP shows, he will retire completely from professional wrestling. Uwano, who is still a young man at 31, said he feels he has reached his limits as a pro wrestler after ten years and has achieved all he is going to. He not only plans to retire from ring action, but from the industry altogether. Choshu and Ishii both seemed upset by his decision, with Ishii saying he wants Uwano to throw everything he has learnt as a pro wrestler into his final matches. Uwano had been conspicuous by his absence on the current New Japan tour, and this probably explains it now."

Surprised to see him make this decision but I wish him well with life whatever he does after pro wrestling.
