And so it begins, folks...another year-another showcase. In SVR 2007 I think I really pushed things along as far as my CAW making goes and I'll be certainly pushing it even farther this time around, at least I hope so. As I eluded to before, I'm trying my hand at new originals this time around, bringing back old favorites and will do up a few that I don't plan on doing if I get enough requests for them. Many of the CAWS that I'm using in my XWA e-fed will be the first up, followed by a few of the ones that I previewed in the 2007 UTS board and then, who knows.

Now, I won't be following the trend that most are doing in NOT posting formulas. As always, I will get to them whence I have the time to do so, which will most like be between Dec/Mar as my fed goes into the offseason, and it'll be the CAWS I choose to type up, otherwise they'll be available as save only when I have enough of them done up to post one. Now with all that out of the way I give you the first 3X CAW of 2008. None other than...

"The Evolution" Jon Payne.
He has become one of my flagship CAWS over the past two years thanks to e-fed exposure here and there, and is one of my personal faves because he just kicks people's asses, lol. No offense, but damn is all I can say sometimes. ALREADY in testing him out against my brother Kaos' Jayson Jones & Dru Nedermeyer (whom you'll be seeing eventually) he's 1-1 against Jay-J and beat Dru in a close one. Old habits die hard I guess. *The hair has been changed from the first version, I like this one a bit more.

These are the two most current version of Payne of which the green/black attire is what I'll be using for my e-fed.

"The HellCat" Hayley Jonas
Next up comes my girl Hayley J., aka "The HellCat". Come a long way since I first made here-as the story goes, I was going for a look similar to Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas when I first made her in 2006, but she wound up having an Ashley vibe to her. Since then I've kinda evolved her look to more a "grimey girl" with a hint of Kat Von D. thrown in thanks to the tats and the sudden haircolor change. I must say thank god they actually gave us more female hair this year, lol.

A more old school version of Hayley. By old school I mean more blonder version. :D Honestly I think I like this one better than the brunette one. Much more "punk chic" going on here, which is what I wanted in the first place as opposed to the "gangsta girl" look of 2007.

Amber Gianni
Here's the "crown jewel" of the Thr33X collection, Amber Gianni. People seem to love her looks, helps that of course she was modeled off of nude model Aria Giovanni, old news to everyone who's been here a while, but to the newcomers, she's of course more than just a pretty face. I've molded her style into a grounded submission style, obviously now using the Submission fighting style as primary. Anyways, ogle on at her...she enjoys the attention. :P

Hayley Vs. Amber
Might as well show this off too. A preview match between these two ladies I think you'll dig.

"The Red Storm" Marisol Cardinale
This...is Marisol Cardinale, or just Mari for short. Her story, my best friend Alex wanted to see if I could make a CAW modeled off his favorite actress/model Sofia Vergara the same way I made Amber off of Aria Giovanni. The end result was her. She was used in e-feds including my own, but kinda went on hiatus...I'd imagine that's gonna END when he sees her now. :D Do I need to explain where I got the attire idea from? :P I like it...I like it a lot.

RIOT
The man, the myth, the legend. Thr33X CAW numero uno. The top of the line, best of the best, longest running created wrestler I have. The history behind him is just too much to fit in here, pretty much one intense, violent, cold & calculating individual, and really fun to play as if you just like beating people into a bloody pulp. I'm proud to say that he's probably the most widely known and popular original CAW out there, and I really do appreciate how much you guys and gals like him. ;)

"The King" Vincent Fate
The One True King, the "business" side of Riot (Riot himself would be the "pleasure" side, shows you how sadistic he is, lol), the father of Evan Fate and trainer/mentor of many including Jon Payne up there, Jayson Jones, Tyson Terra, etc. This is the "e-fed" version of Riot as I never actually unleashed the masked version in a fed, though you may see him pop up sometime. In the trend of inspired attires from other mediums that myself and Kaos have done recently, the 2008 version Vince loosely resembles King Of Fighters boss Rugal Bernstein. I decided to keep the pants black those cuz red pants look silly with a white jacket. :P He has really slick, "Boss" look to him, that was what I was going for.

TK
This is here is the first 100% new CAW of mine for 2008, TK. This inspiration for him cam originally from a Alltel commercial I saw that had some athlete type and his agent in it-that's a PERFECT wrestling gimmick IMO (subsequently I'll do his Agent/Manager at a later date). You can see cues in his design from Kurt Angle of course as well as Elijah Burke with the single taped up hand. As you can guess he's an athletic cocky type using Showman and Hardcore for a mix of arrogance and aggression.

"The Golden Goddess" Sarah Warfield Full Formula
The beginning of the "legacy" so to speak, Sarah Warfield was the first ever CAW I showed off here. As with most of my work there's a lot of history behind her despite that it's year three she's being made. She started out as a kind of female Kurt Angle donning an American Flag style attire. Since then I've given her several looks...blue & gold, black and gold and as of 2007 blue & white. Decided to go back to Black & gold this time around, but thanks to the fact that you can only have two underwears I can't remake her 2007 attire, so I went from scratch. The bandana stems from an attire I made for her late in 2006, and it just looks cool, lol. FYI-Character wise she's to my female crop of wrestlers as Riot is to the guys, well respected and something of a mentor to others as well, such as being the person who trained Amber Gianni.

"The Tokyo Tsunami" Tadako Anenokoji
She started off as a rip of Reiko Hinomoto of Rumble Rose fame back in 2006, now she's probably my best female CAW overall in terms of in-ring performance, at least in the past that is. Brief stints in e-feds saw her have some decent matches...and the fact that her moveset/AI was swapped to Marisol up there who slayed said fed's tag champs prodigiously solidifies the fact that she's one tough cookie. It also prompts me to make a nice little backstory through which Tadako trains Marisol over her hiatus. They both share the same styles, moves however will vary.

Tyson Terra
Current Thr33X bad guy numero uno, and a guy who I really dig all in all. Terra was created specifically for e-feds at first, the first time I ever roleplayed as a heel in fact, and of course he kinda grew on me so I began to build on him a bit more and more. The chops sideburns came from an edit that was done by OBEY for his own game, I liked them so I added them to my own version. His look is pretty basic as far as my designs go, but sometimes basic is good. Terra is the first to follow the trend I have of making "big heavyweights" ala Andrew Martin (formerly known as Test), Tomko and such...powerful, but not super heavywieghts. Infact, it was those two specifically that inspired me to make him.

Channelle
Need I say more? Well I will anyway. :P Channelle was one of the newer girls I made in 2007. Brought her into my fed along with Jersey Redd-my "big" girl CAW (who will be converted, no worries) as a Tag Team. I have granted the character to a friend to use in said fed and as such completely repackaged her to what you see here as per their request-a Barbie doll given polygonal flesh. She was MADE to be as exaggerated as possible figure wise and that's saying something since most of my females CAWS admittedly are exaggerated figure wise. (I blame Rumble Rose entirely for that, like you have a problem with it. :P) I give you "The Glamourlicious One".

Aiyanna Nizhoni
I'm sure most will vaguely remember Aiyanna Nizhoni from XWA early this year. Originally I had no intention on remaking her until I saw that the person I made the CAW to use in XWA had made her sister characters. One thing led to another and the creative juices went flowing and now, here she is all shiny and new for 2008. An interesting point to make here is that aside from a lot of make-up layers for the eyes the 2007 version had NO FACIAL MORPHING done to her. You could barely notice it though. This year you kinda can notice it, and plus the fact that they removed a lot of make-up forced me to make up a face from scratch. Just like on 2007, the attire is heavily inspired by Tekken's Julia Chang, but I might make another more wrestling styled attire for her down the road.

Neville Merrill
Neville Merrill was a CAW/character I created in the days of my old LXW fed for a storyline as hired muscle for Brock Bentley. He thought to had tossed a lass named Eliza over Niagra Falls, then attacked Jon Payne before he was beat in a revenge match by Eliza's boyfriend Force and then Payne himself before he eventually turned his back on Bentley and rode off into the sunset. Simple design really compared to most of my work. I had to do a tewak of one of the preset faces for this version since obviously the original is lost to the PS2's delete feature, lol.

Kristal Allan
Another 100% new CAW for 2008. You might notice some facial similarities to actress Krista Allan as well as Karen Angle-but her wrestling style is reminiscent to Mickie James with a little 3X flair of course.

Sonya Robbins
Same story for this one, both Kristal & Sonya were custom made for my e-fed. Sonya was modeled from the face of "adult" star Ashley Robbins (as most know I frequently use centerfolds and such for the foundation to female CAW faces-username: thr33x=3X=XXX, duh. :P ). I really like her look. Redheads are hot, lol.

Jillian Priede
Another 100% new Thr33X work. I happened to get my hands on SSX Tricky, and one of Elise Riggs' secret costumes was one called "Canadian Pride"- a form fitting bodysuit with you guessed it, the Canadian flag as the basis. That got the wheels spinning for me to whip up this lady tonight as result. You'll note the her last name is pronounced "pride", and she uses a modified version of Bret Hart's move set.

Adding 5 more ladies to the showcase (!!!)

Lotus
As I said before, she's a classic. Been making her since the first SVR-and this time around I think I'm most satisfied with her look. She's had two different personas-Dark & White Lotus-representing good and evil. Now she's just Lotus "The Living Shadow". The design of her attire takes cues from Taki's form fitting ninja suit with a hint of Nightshade (Sega's female Shinobi).

Sierra Hyde Easton
She's a personal favorite of mines. Initially I had been trying to do something that reminded me of Trish Stratus with her, but she pretty evolved into something different. Character wise she's the basic "bubbly blonde" type-upbeat and cheery. Then if course there's her faithful companion Mimi-how I hope that Torrie continues to come out to the ring with Chloe, then she'll always have this entrance. Something about her (either or) makes me warm and fuzzy inside. NOTE-The street clothes is what I've used for her avatar in my e-fed, where she's the Creative Director.

Taylor Ali
She's a new one to my stable, but I really dig her. Made her last year as kind of a female Shelton Benjamin type. This year though I'm changing her up to be more a brawler, signified by her look "boxer" type look. That's what I was trying to go for last year, but of course there were no kind of female parts to pull it off. Obviously her name is a take off of Laila Ali, whom she's loosely based off of. It's a godsend they actually had boxer shorts and such this year for females, apparently someone at THQ/Yuke's is aware that there's such a thing as female boxing. Now...if only they realized there's such a thing as female wrestling as well, we'd all be so much happier.

Des're Dynasty
Another newcomer made in 2007 that I decided to bring back. Then she was just Dynasty, but now I added a first name, nice huh? Her look is based somewhat off of Aisha of Rumble Rose fame, she's definitely a diva...but not that kind of diva, lol. In the sense that she'd be a really stuck-up bitchy personality is what I mean, and speaking of mean, she has a streak as such in the ring to go with it.

Arlene Driver
Another vet from SVR2006. She was the "big back up" to my Melissa Storm CAW (whom I'm debating giving an overhaul of sorts), but now she's more operating on her own. She's still a power/techincal type whom I've modeled somewhat off of Victoria and April Hunter's wrestling styles. You see the cues from Victoria in the visor she wears to the ring and the heavily padded right knee, of which canonically she suffered in a match versus Sarah Warfield. As result she's one of her most hated rivals.

Jamie Fury
Ok, the story behind her is that a friend and I was watching the new American Gladiators show on NBC (ah the memories of the old series), and we were just in LOVE with the lass known as Fury. This is also a person that I was trying to get into my fed for a while now, but they don't actually have the game (or even play the game for that matter). So I was appointed with the task of making a character that looks in an many ways as possible as Fury without being a total mimic of her, so I did some research-found out her real name and got some decent reference pics. A few hours later this here is the end result. Shoulda known better than to challenge me to make a new CAW, now Jamie is not just a part of my fed, but another to my collection.

"The Warrior Queen" Talena
Another femme fatale I've been making since 2006. She's the strong and proud queen of a warrior tribe in The Serengeti and naturally a ferocious competitor and fine athlete. The importance of Talena in 2008 is this-there's actually going to be two versions of her. The first will be the standard version of which if I'm not mistaken I made her Tech/Powerhouse. The second will look the same but not fight the same, as the moveset will be hacked to what it was that I always made which SVR2008 won't allow without hacking, a mix of power and speed- aka Powerhouse/High Flyer. The "true" version of Talena will be a save-only special.

Class Act
The fighting femmes of the Darbura Academy of Combat Arts. More classics of mine now you could say, made in 2006 in homage of a former member of the old CAWS.ws forum named Opagogo who had made a pair of really fun to use schoolgirl type CAWS named Rumi-Chan and Autumn Landale. These were made to be their rivals but of course grew into something all of their own. First there's KIMI, formerly Kimi-Ko, the "Super Happy Fun Go" type of girl-textbook anime style personality. She decided to use just her first name in CAPS in homage to her favorite wrestler KENTA, whom incidentally she shares the same surname of Kobayashi (her new Primary Finisher is the Go 2 Sleep as result). Her partner and longtime friend Alexia Leone is the more serious of the two, a sassy lass from the Big Apple born into a fairly rich family. As always I try to make KIMI's style much more wild and Alexia's more refined. As yet I haven't figured out their fighting styles, but they will as the always have compliment the team-the only all female XWATag Team Champions in fact.

Tom Jonas
"The Hellhound" Tom Jonas, aka Hayley Jonas' older brother. While she's made a name for herself in the ring, he's stayed underground, choosing to make his living in fight clubs and illegal tournaments. 2008 though sees him contemplating going legit. You can see the cues I made in his attire toward guitarist Slash, particularly the hat and curly hair combo. He's probably the simplest CAW I make in terms of design because he's in fact a street brawler moreso than a wrestler, using Brawler/Technical like his sister. In fact, his moveset has always been a variation of Hayley's with a bit more emphasis on power moves. Also I must make note that his facial morphing has always been the same identical parameters as Hayley's ever since I began creating him. 100% the same, and you can see the resemblance between them if you look hard enough.

Yoshi Togo
Yoshi has been created by me since SYM. That was the year I first learned and fell in love with Japanese Puro/Strong Style wrestling, so naturally I wanted to create a CAW that did as much justice to the style on the SD/SVR games as possible. For that reason he's probably the most hard-hitting male CAW on my entire roster. Yoshi's moveset was the blueprint which I used for Jon Payne-this year that'll be the opposite since Payne was completed first, but both share similar mentalities in the ring: proficient striking attacks and a balance in standard and submission style grapples aimed at doing collective damage over momentum gain. Yoshi I've historically made more powerful though than Payne since he's the equivalent in overall experience to Riot/Vincent Fate. Character wise, Togo is a legendary wrestler in his native Japan who dabbled in American wrestling but wasn't too sold on it after internal politics saw him quit one federation after a single match. Returning to Japan he began his very own promotion along with longtime rival Victory Musashi called View Japan Pro Wrestling (yes, that's the bootleg New Japan from Fire Pro Wrestling) where he wrestles in addition to running the famed Togo Wrestling Dojo- the training home of his Team RYU as well as a stop for several wrestlers from Jon Payne and Dru Nedermeyer to fellow VJPW Superstars.

As always, more is in store, stay tuned.

Definitely pays to have the face & body morphs written down, lol. But as a bit of advice to all CAW makers out there, as far as the males go, the model is slimmer than the 2007 version, so you'll likely have to up the body size higher than 2007 if you want to get the exact build as 2007, as I had to do with Payne here. Still haven't checked what's up with female CAWS yet, I'm torn right now between 2008 and FPR right now...sweet agony. :D

I'm itching to do up Amber now, but I have to get some sleep, lol. Once again, it's basically the same face & body morphs as I've had for years, just a simple conversion so that helps me be able to crank them out. Now I'm wondering who to do next, Amber or Riot. You'll just have to wait until later to find out. Thanks for the feedback, I know you love this stuff. :D

Whose the hobo trying to be Jon Payne? lol I don't think the hair suits him to be honest. I also think the skull on the back of the tights is off center just a smidgen.
And the chipmunks pick up Hayley Jonas in the free agent draft? Her cheeks are too round and out there, but her attire is spot on to what I was anticipating for the Kat Von D influence

If you were anyone else, I'd keep my mouth shut and just say "Nice work" but your just as anal as I am on my own work, constantly working at it making sure it's "PERFECT" so I thought I'd toss out those two observations. I do love the continuity of Payne from 07-08 though.

I really do wish they had a "shag" style hair similar to Steve Nash or Dirk Nowitzki's, that's the "ideal" hair I envisioned for him. Maybe he'll keep the curly look of 2007 after all. That skull though, it's got a bit of a tilt to it which explains why it looks a bit offset cuz it is, lol...can't be helped.

I think I see what you mean with Hayley though, I'll get to it eventually, the brother is on the game right now (we're sharing until next week when I get my own copy).

Thanks. I just took a good look at the 2007 version of Hayley and yes, the numbers are identical to a tee. The reason why her face look longer and such is because of the hair and the hat. That pathetic straight hair in 2007 made her face look smaller than it actually was, all trick of the eye. And speaking of hair, I will be changing Payne's to something else, lol.Now added Amber Gianni to the first post. Take a look, you know you want to. ;)

That won't be a problem. I think I'm gonna make her form public anyway, seeing as she was the very first CAW I ever posted on this board (and the rest is history). Just got done jotting down the numbers for another lady whom I forgot to add to that list, Marisol Cardinale. Some know who she is, others don't but soon you all will cuz she's next on the creation list for me. Then I switch gears back to the guys, that dude who wears the mask that everyone seems to love so much. Wait till you see the ideas I have for him. :D

That was quite a fun feud Ashley/Lamia had with Mari. Short lived but still fun. :P Amber looks MUCH better this year I must say. She doesn't look too Asian anymore. :P That was my main problem with her 07 look[not sure if I ever said that or not, but meh, said it now]. Still has that pale look going[me loves the paleness]. Nice one.

The key there I think is less make up. She just has some eye shadow there, that's it. Without that she actually has 5 spare layers on her that I can do something with, but I doubt I will. Aside from color swaps I'm throughly satisfied with her attire, fits the character very nicely IMO so I'm not gonna be doing much changing from what you see there. The skin tone has a key factor for her, it's actually pretty close to the "real thing". Ms. Giovanni has a very milky skintone to her that I try my best to emulate in Ms. Gianni.
