1: Downloading a save from the internet/your PC to your PS3.

When downloading a save, such as those at CAWs.ws, it will probably come in a zip file, or another compressed file format.
Unzip/Extract the files.

The folder you have made should contain a number of files which form the save. They should be in a folder named something like "BLES00136" or "BLUS30082". This will differ depending on which game and which format you are using. The name of the folder will be the same as the code written on the bottom side/edge of the PS3 game case. The examples there are for SVR2008, PAL and NTSC accordingly. I am not sure about every game, but for SmackDown at least you need to make sure you download a save of the correct format. If you are not sure whether you need PAL or NTSC, check this guide: http://caws.ws/forum/index.php?showtopic=439

The folder mentioned above should be inside a folder called "SAVEDATA". The SAVEDATA folder should be in a folder called "PS3".

When you're ready, copy the "PS3" folder (with all the other stuff in it) onto a USB Memory Stick (Pen Drive). Most standard type USB Sticks should work fine.

Insert the USB stick into the PS3, then turn on your PS3 and go to the Game menu, then up to "Saved Data Utility". Press X and you go to the USB Device at the top of the list of saves that you have. Press X, and you should get a list of all the saves on your USB Memory Stick. Go on to the save and press Triangle, then select copy, and copy it to the PS3 Hard Drive. You should see a progress bar, and then the save will appear in your "Saved Data Utility" folder on the PS3. You can now use the save.

Note: Some games, such as SmackDown, only allow you to have one save per PS3 User Profile. If you get a warning when copying the save that data already exists, and you still copy it, you will overwrite the save you have already.

2: Uploading a save to your PC / the internet.

Insert the USB stick into the PS3, then turn on your PS3 and go to the Game menu, then up to "Saved Data Utility". Press X and you should see your USB Device at the top of the list of saves that you have.

Instead of going on to the stick, scroll down to the save that you want to copy to it and press Triangle, then select copy, and choose to copy it to the USB Device. You should see a progress bar, and then the save will appear on your USB Memory Stick.

Switch off the PS3, remove the stick and put it in the USB slot on your computer. The USB stick should now have a folder called "PS3" on it. Inside it there will be a folder called "SAVEDATA", and a folder inside that will contain your save data. If there are multiple saves on it there will be a folder for each save. The name of the folder will be the same as the code written on the bottom side/edge of the PS3 game case.

Copy & Paste the PS3 folder from the USB Stick to a folder on your computer. You can then put the save into a zip folder (or rar file, whichever you use), and then upload that to the web. Search Google if you are unsure on how to compress files/folders into a zip file. Then use a file upload site (such as MediaFire, Sendspace, MyTempDir or whichever you prefer), and copy the link they give you into your forum post or save submission, then people can use the link to download your save!
